The Onmyouji's Partner Robot

A busy activity that occurred inside the underground room of Tabata's house went fluently with the flow. A gloomy room filled that only had dimming-yellowish light flickered from above the middle above the interior and revealed the unique things inside it.

The bluish holographic square board decided to calmly levitate on the left side and acted as a receptacle for several pieces of equipment. Ranging from a rectangular-green toolbox with yellow lines gleamed within the rear part and screwdrivers with the handler dimmed out a red light within the transparent surface.

A neon-violet towering storage wardrobe that had four rows of bluish-holographic spaces stood across the holographic table, filling from bottom to top. The wardrobe displayed some robot limbs such as an arm, legs, head, stomach, waist, head, glowing eyes with different colors, and even a different type of helmet in the half-done state.

Voices of arguing and bickering echoed from the edge of the underground room, filled with three people on the spot. The people were Tabata who crossed his arm and closed his resting eyes and Minako who was in a kneeling position alongside a disgruntled look she pinned to her son, Sado.

Moreover, Sado's shakily grip held on a glassy tennis-ball-shaped core that channeled out a glimmering azure light. The Red-Haired boy darted his fascinated eyes to the object within the front sight, heating up the irritated grin of Minako especially with her capturing a glimpse of shaking hand from her son.

"Sado, you better be careful on..placing the robot's core." Minako warned with an annoyed tone, "If you mess it up…I will make sure you're the one who's going to make it again, no matter what.

"Keep in mind, I'll watch you until it's finished," Minako added.

Sado chuckled, "Ah…I thought you're going to ground me or something?"

"Nah…that punishment is too easy for this kind of screw-up. Hence, I turned the punishment to be more difficult, so you will have a….lesser chance to do it." Minako remarked with a disgruntled tone.

"Okay, okay, mom." Sado replied with a bothersome demeanor, "I..will hold this as carefully as possible."

Afterward, Sado sighed and began to approach the interesting object being captured by his sharp front sight. The Red-Haired heedfully headed towards the hulking-muscular robot like a bodybuilder with a burnished-metal skin that had a dimmed azure color for the choice, bright as the street light, stood motionless with his head down.

One of the robot metal hands was enfolded by a pitch-black gauntlet that contained a coarse surface. Furthermore, a circular-white orb impaled deeply on the middle of the gauntlet knuckle part.

A cotton-white helmet that resembled the type 66 type shielded the sleepy robot's upper head. The soldier-Esque helmet also planted a hard and shimmering yellowish paper card logo on the middle side of the helmet.

Wooden-brown imperial era pair of boots latched on the robot's feet, holding it to keep standing even if it fell down in a sleeping state. Glittering creamy card-shaped that had a size equal as ant and made from metal filled up the each of boot's rear part.

While the robotic silver face had nicely polished on its skin with the skin shining like a clean diamond. Its face had lips being designed into a firm one and its eyes were only an empty hole.

Sado kept continuing to take a step forward in the slumbering robot direction and lifted the orb towards the main objective. The main objective was none other than a circular hole that appeared on the robot's middle chest and had a size similar to the orb.

Tabata slowly opened his eyes and retrieved back the crossing hand as he was about to witness his son, clearing the objective for him. A puzzling look popped out within The Officer's face and locked the darting eyes towards his wife after he captured the glimpse of the hole in the robot chest.

"Minako, are you sure the core part will be safe?" Tabata asked with a concerned tone, "Or do you already have extra protection?"

Minako sheepishly giggled and shook her head after capturing the concerning word from her husband or even got the glimpse of his puzzling frown. Hence, she swiftly got up from the kneeling position, greeted him with a satirical smile and placed down her lips on his ear.

"It's…magic core old man." Minako murmured, "So of course, it will be safe from anything."

"About Sado, I'm just messing with him." Minako added.

The Officer declared a momentary chuckling as Minako retreated the whispering lips away from his ear. Tabata pinned the exuberant face towards his wife who quickly crossed both of her arms for a steady preparation on presuming the conversation.

"What a sly fox you are?" Tabata complimented, "And I bet Sado is fully aware of your trickery."

Minako chuckled, "Of course he would be aware of that."

Then, they decided to center their sharpening eyes towards Sado who had his cautious hand closer on putting the orb. The glowing orb he slowly patched on towards the hole of the slumbering robot.

Embarking blue light soared across the room at a moment, encouraging Sado to step back from the flashing light. He witnessed the glowing orb cast not only levitated on the chest, but also cast out four surging strings from upper and below chaining the hole.

Hence, shimmering blue descended from below the hole of its eyes and the robot raised its head to the sky above view as the awakened time arrived. The enthusiastic jaw was dropped by Sado who took a step back at the robot he successfully convinced on waking up from the seemingly unending sleep.

Even Tabata captured the exhilarating feeling, represented in a form of broadened smirk and shaking grip. The Officer steered his smirk onto Minako who put both of her knuckles on the waist, declaring a blithesome giggle.

Tabata sighed in relief, "That's one of the best robots you ever made and I totally love it."

Minako giggled, "Don't overpraise it, Old Man. We haven't gone to the test yet."

"Sure and I'm ready to command the robot." Tabata remarked with a confident tone.

The Officer decided to approach the awakened robot's direction and gently landed a single tap on his son's shoulder. It halted Sado's stepping back as he declared a gladful smirk from his father.

"You did a good job, Sado." Tabata praised, "It's time to get some rest."

Sado happily nodded, "Okay father, I will, and good luck with the testing section."

"Thank you very much, my son," Tabata replied as he slowly stepped away from his excited son.

Therefore, Sado stopped his steps when he reached the near distance of his mother. The Red-Haired Boy crossed his arm before he freed out a watchful eye, especially on watching his father raise the pondering hand onto the robot.

Glowing yellowish energy channeled within the grasp of Tabata's grip as he continued the surveying glare at the robot. The Officer quickly let out a giggle after he finished the survey on his soon-to-be robot in crime in quick succession.

Then, Tabata swiftly steered an admiring stare into his wife who greeted him with a surprised look. Watching the admiring expression his husband confessed, convinced Minako to shake his head in slight disbelief.

Tabata smirked, "You're indeed one of the best wives I've ever had. Hence, I will make sure to keep your creation safe as possible."

"Yeah…I'm really grateful to hear that, from you Tabata." Minako replied alongside a broadened cheery smile before she hummed at a moment, "Rather than giving another praise, how about you start the test now?"

Minako gasped and expressed a worried expression, "I must make sure this machine can synchronize with your Onmyouji power. Yes, I did put some magical stone that is related to Onmyouji, but I am still quite skeptical if the stone can implement the buff you give."

Tabata chuckled, "Do not be worried much, Minako. I really believed it would not have..a very critical technical inconvenience..at least"

"So..let the test section begin, Minako and I wished there was no error or anything bad about the machine," Tabata reassured with a joyful tone.

"I totally agree with my father." Sado replied with a jovial demeanor, "I meant…you've been working this for the last couple of weeks. Thus, father's buff should work."

"Also father's buff can work too since from what I heard yesterday, his onmyouji buff can work on the gun." Sado added excitedly, "It means the buff will work too with that robot. Plus, it has the magical core which should give a better benefit."

Minako sighed in reluctance before she spread an out loud groan to the whole underground room. Moreover, she watched Sado steadily open a cheery smile that convinced her to tilt her head in a bitter annoyance

"Fine, fine, fine!!" Minako said with a disgruntled expression. "I just can only hope…that robot can accept your buff, Tabata."

The Officer switched the keening stare onto the robot once again as he headed closer. Tabata swiftly hoisted the paper card with a black-ink Kanji that said, "Double" from the tightened grip.

At first, Tabata darted his unnerving eyes onto the paper he recently spawned and took a refreshing sigh. A mood of testing or even tossing the card began to overwhelm The Officer's thoughts as his gripping hand trembled in avidness.

Therefore, Tabata quickly tossed the paper card away to the hushed robot's direction and flung it like a speeding bullet. The Robot only pinned the sharpened stare at the fleeing card, declaring a single nod.

The card smoothly picked the comforting spot of landing, the bulky gauntlet that hoisted to the robot's sight. Wavering yellow swiftly energy enveloped the entire robot's body in an instance and raised an intriguing sight.

Moreover, the robot's glowing core started to release a glamouring yellow light through the whole room resembling a dawning sunlight's first awakened and revealed the gleaming black-ink kanji written the same as the paper card. The warming light indeed vanished without a semblance of traces, but the keen eagerness for the witnesser embarked.

It began with Minako who broadly dropped a surprising jaw toward the success of his creation, accepted the unwitting buff from Tabata's paper card. She could only unrelentingly let out a sheepish burst of laughter especially when scanning the surrounding light that enveloped the robot.

"Finally, my creation is a success and I'm really happy to see this." Minako mumbled with trembling happiness, "Oh my god, I never thought it would work like this."

Then, Minako marked the scanning eyes onto the shimmering orb that kept flashing the bright light within. Disbelief frowned was freed within The Officer's Wife expression as she extended her dropping jaw.

"Especially the core is an actual real deal!!" Minako flabbergasted, "That means the one I bought from that weird person is Onmyouji from….my husband's island."

"Damn…no wonder he explained a lot of information about the orb when I bought it," Minako added.

Sado who motionlessly pinned his sight like a statue declared a cheering grin towards his father's success. The Red-Haired Boy steered his eager sight onto Minako who still trapped in deep shock, drumming a giggle.

Whereas, Tabata pondered the alluring light that enveloped the robot as he also glanced at the paper card that continuously blessed the robot with its light. The Officer shook his head in a sheepish demeanor before he raised the excited eyes when his mind brought a sparking idea related to this.

Tabata sluggishly turned back and caught a surprise and keened from either his son or his wife's expression. Nonetheless, The Officer put his hand on the pockets as he declared a thrilling chuckle on the room, a preparation for the next activity he would initiate for the robots that already accepted buff.

More specifically, Tabata marked the convincing furrow towards his red-haired son, Sado as the next candidate of his assistant. An assistant that might be useful in the testing activity he would soon declare with the robot and the place was already being reserved by his mind.

"Alright Sado, let's go to the Sakura Forest." Tabata persuaded, "I'm really eager to test any potential the robots had."
