The Heedful Anticipation of The Augmented Enemy

"So this…Maduruma monster is one of Tendou's experiments gone mad?" Chemistra asked bluntly as she furrowed an apathetic glare onto Agano.

The Onmyouji firmly nodded as he began to shake his head in uneasiness and clenched one of the fists that omitted feathery-yellowish energy. The thought of Maduruma's past haunted Agano's mind with him shaking the tightened fist.

"Yes and also one of the dangerous ones." Agano explained with a cold tone, "In simple terms, always keep your distance away from his direct sight and tried not to get caught."

"Understandable and thank you," Chemistra replied

Southern Shield, who had been observing the spilling information about the current foe, only frowned with puzzling thought. The Arrogant Shaolin pinned the sharpened stare at his Onmyouji ally and blew a brief sigh.

"Speaking about that Tendou person you mention, who exactly is he?" Southern Shield asked curiously, "Is he even still alive?"

Agano grunted, "He already died around 9 years ago, but not Maduruma who killed him. It's someone else that has a personal grudge with him."

"As for who is Tendou, he is one of the scientists or inventors that is corrupted by his ambition and dream to make a better world." Agano blurted out another explanation with an uneasy tone, "Such as creating an abomination like Maduruma, the one, unfortunately, failed to be controlled by him"

Agano sighed, "If you want to know more about Tendou and Maduruma, you can just ask your friend, Mistress Foreseen. She probably already scanned those information within my mind"

"Anyway, I have another question regarding your fellow friend." Agano tossed aside the previous topic with a blunt question, "Is she still stuck in her ghost form?"

Southern Shield shrugged it off, "Indeed she continued to be trapped in that form and it will be prolonged due to the damage of her body being very fatal.

"Hence she couldn't use her teleportation until now or maybe..forever." Southern Shield spoke with a pity tone before he opened a confident smirk, "However, it's not my concern right now because We…have more important priority."

The thrilling stare of Southern Shield allowed him to steer his eagle-eyes attention towards the glimpse of levitating Maduruma's back. More precisely, he watched The Machine Herald gazed at the azure sky above and widened the excited grin.

The Arrogant Shaolin heaved the golden shield on his clutching grip, engulfing a smooth yellow aura on the entirety of the circular surface. The embarking limb convinced Southern Shield to prepare a heaved-up throwing position similar to a chakram player as he quickly got a clear sight on the target across him.

"A priority of defeating this hideous robot and testing my current limit too." Southern Shield announced.

"Remember, be aware that you are most likely going to be separated…from the group." A telepathic voice of Mistress Foreseen echoed through Southern Shield's mind, "That's the information I received from reading his mind even though…there is some difficulty like The weakened Distrunian."

Southern Shield proudly smirked and prolonged the telepathic conversation with his fellow Shaolin's friend, "Then I have just to strike first. Since at the end, he will separate me no matter what."

"Please, tell this news to the others especially if you find any new interesting information." Southern Shield requested as he presumed the telepathic conversation,

Therefore, Southern Shield thrust back the embarking shield for him to sharpen the observant eyes at his motionless target. He pressed the kneecaps and glanced back at the other two heroes, Chemistra and Agano who gave him an assured nod before steering the attention at the target once again.

"Stay here and watch me become the first trial for that hideous monster to trap me." Southern Shield remarked with soothing confidence.

Agano reluctantly chortled, "Remember, stay cautious with the enemy, Southern Shield."

Southern Shield giggled, "I'm sure with it."

Hence, The Arrogant Shaolin valiantly hurled the embarking golden shield away towards the enemy from across who remained calmly levitating. Each time the shield spent time in the sky, the golden aura shone the flashy light as bright as a dawn sun rising and the twirling movement went aggressive like a buzzsaw being tossed aside.

Southern Shield pressed both of the kneecaps with his entire body replenishing the same golden aura that enveloped his shield. He slowly propelled the golden-cloth fist right in front of his face, channeling out the golden aura away.

Without hesitation, The Arrogant Shaolin leaped off from the rooftop before he morphed into glittering golden sparkles in an instance. A golden sparkle that soon rallied and joined together with the fleeing shield, leaving the other two heroes as he was ready to initiate the first strike.

Whereas, Maduruma began to switch his heedful one eye on the left when the augmented hearing captured the thundering noise. The Machine Herald upraised the hovering coin on top of his hand until it gazed at the clean-azure sky above.

Glistening-jade light sprinkled out from the hovering disk and twirled around the wavering presence in a circle. Maduruma precisely locked the one eye-sight towards the embarking golden shield that was near-across him.

All of sudden, a physical presence of Southern Shield swiftly jumped out from the spinning shield and he thrust a plunging fist. A plunging fist that carried The Arrogant Shaolin to flee forward onto The anticipated Maduruma who blurted out a relieving chuckle.

"I highly predict you're aware that I made an attempt to trap you." Maduruma guessed with bitter confidence.

The Machine Herald smoothly slammed down the hovering disk till it shattered into hundred pieces of embarking-green crystal. The green crystal cast out a thundering-jade string burst out from the depth of the ground and latched onto The Arrogant Shaolin by constricting him and the mighty golden shield on the back.

Southern Shield grunted in annoyance with him attempting to push his body from left to right, but still trapped within the constricting strings. The Arrogant Shaolin gritted the heating teeth and shook the struggling fist to go up.

Even though Southern Shield didn't have significant progress yet such as his entire limbs remaining motionless, he slowly reformed a thrilling smirk. He even let out a burst of excited laughter towards Maduruma who convinced him to shake it's head.

Maduruma sighed, "Unfortunately, you must face one of my lovely creations. Not me of course."

"Enjoy the fight, The Great Southern Shield." Maduruma exclaimed with a deep, sarcastic tone, "A fight within my pocket dimension."

"I know you will not die easily in there, but it's worth my time for a distraction," Maduruma added.

"Distraction for your cowardly twisted plan, pathetic." Southern Shield mocked, "Very pathetic you hideous creature."

Maduruma chortled, "You can say any word or insult you want to expose to Shaolin, I'll still be patient as always."

"Because I can throw that away easily from my mind like a trash can," Maduruma spoke with a soothing tone.

"So, have fun and hope you will die," Maduruma added with a deep remark

The Arrogant Shaolin began to scream in agony with the strangling vines, omitting a blinding wave through the surroundings. Moreover, he witnessed his entire limbs crumble into hundreds of green sparkles that flew freely to the sky.

A prideful grin colored Southern Shield's entire face and looked upon Maduruma who gave a relieving furrow with his one eye. The green sparkles indeed dusted the entire part of The Arrogant Shaolin, but he only gave a delirium chuckle towards his opponent who slowly hovered forward

Eventually, Maduruma hovered past his Shaolin opponent who now fully morphed into hundreds of green sparkles fled freely on the azure sky above. The Machine Herald once again could enjoy a brief calmness after The Shaolin's presence vanished from the naked eyes.

The disappearance of Southern Shield opened an opportunity for Maduruma to capture two Neo Tokyo City heroes such as Chemistra and Agano alongside his partner's robot Ryuzen, who heedfully stood up from him. Furthermore, The Machine Herald could finally witness his desirable target The Chemist in crystal-clear as he declared a burst of gleeful laughter across the surroundings.

The laughter commanded both Chemistra and Agano to take retreating steps away from The Machine Herald distance. The Chemist was indeed shivered through her spin and her left needle finger unsteadily shaking the more time she spent darting at Maduruma.

While Agano omitted feathery yellow energy through the clenching fist as he witnessed The Machine Herald began to hover forward onto them. Regardless, The Onmyouji heaved the energy that soon morphed into a paper card with a black-ink Kanji that said, "Reflect" and immediately patched it onto his arm.

"Maduruma, stand down now!!" Agano firmly ordered as Ryuzen took a single jump and softly landed beside him.

Maduruma giggled as he halted the approaching hover towards the two heroes, "Alright, Mr. Agano, I have it your way."

Whereas, Chemistra pressed the blue button on her gauntlet to wipe out any traces available for yellow light for less than a second. The Chemist's metal body now illuminated a sea-blue light within the transparent-like surface, convincing her to aim both of the enlightened needle fingers towards the levitating Maduruma.

"Chemistra, the Maduruma guy wants you to become his…enforcer based on the half-successful result of my mind reading." A telepathic voice of Mistress Foreseen foretold.

The Chemist abruptly froze on the spot as her entire limbs shivered in dreadfulness with the constant trembling through the needle fingers. Chemistra even winced with shocked eyes to the floor below before she blew a brief sight for regaining a blunt stare that was locked at Maduruma.

"I…understand and…very thankful to share this information." Chemistra thanked through telepathy with an anxious tone.

Hence, Maduruma darted the intriguing one eye at his Chemistra who winced at the scolding stare at him. The Machine Herald shrugged it off with a reluctant giggle as the chance of claiming the future enforcer became closer.
