Chapter 6

We then see another homeroom classroom as Garry, Scarlet, Franklin and Iris were together as the teach had set up models of monsters and the students had to guess what materials are best to use against specific monsters. The four were standing in front of Nuckelavee as Scarlet was writing down the answers with Iris and Franklin by her side, while Garry was playing on a mobile game system.

"Man, that thing looks evil as hell." Said Franklin.

"Yeah." Iris responded.

"It's a nuckelavee. Those things are very dangerous. Luckily they're rare." Said Scarlet.

"Yes, attack my pretties! Ah-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!" Garry laughed in high pitch voice.

"Mr. Oswald! We're here to learn. Not to play games. Do that in your own time or I will take it away." Said Mr. Welling.

"Oh, sorry, sir." Said Garry, putting up his console.

"Yeah, focus. Do you guys know how to deal with this thing? Does a gun or cannon work on these monsters?" Franklin asked.

"No, even though they don't have skin and exposing their muscle tissue. Regular weapons won't do much." Said Scarlet as she tapped her wand on her chin.

"Oh, Nuckelavee. They hate fresh water. Rivers are like their mortal enemy. Imagine seeing one of the waving their fist with anger at river." Said Garry as he waved his fist.

"I'd pay to see that." Said Franklin.

"How come you were playing on the game? You know monster zoology better than me. Surprisingly." Said Scarlet.

"Sorry, I was in the middle of a boss battle in this RPG game I'm playing. And, hey, I know stuff. Don't doubt my skills." Said Garry as they went back to their desk.

"And that's the last one. Let me just double check. And done." Said Scarlet as she checked their paper in a second.

"How can you read so fast?" Garry asked.

"Oh, you know. Magic." Said Scarlet as she winked with her wand in her hand.

"Lucky." Said Garry.

It would be later as Isaac and the gang were sitting together at lunch, outside on the main campus's grass. They were having a team meeting as Isaac stood in front of everyone with a tablet in his hand.

"Great job you guys with our mission the other night. And as a big thank you, Felicity and I made cookies." Said Isaac as Felicity arrived with a basket full.

"Enjoy~!" Said Felicity, holding out the basket.

"Aw, sweet!" Said Garry.

"I love cookies." Said Franklin.

"This is so unfair." Said Violet as she pouted with her arms crossed.

"Mm, it's so good." Marcus teased.

"He-he, that's what she said." Violet snickered with a smirk, while the others snickered.

"Every damn time." Said Marcus.

"Also, Marcus. I need to talk to you." Said Isaac.

"Oh, sure." Said Marcus.

"What are you going to talk about?" Violet asked.

"None of your business." Said Marcus as Violet gave an angry pouty look.

"Just boring stuff." Said Isaac as they walked away from the others.

Everyone kept on eating the cookies as Isaac and Marcus walked around on the cement pathway as they others were nearby.

"So, what's up?" Marcus asked.

"Has it gotten worse?" Isaac asked.

"The nightmares? A little. They're annoy the hell out of me. Each time I have them, they seem to feel real. Like someone is slowly creeping up on me. I can feel my inner beast trying to take control." Said Marcus.

"That's rough, buddy." Said Isaac, not knowing how to react.

"(Stifled chuckle) Thanks. But I'm good for now. You don't have to worry about me." Said Marcus.

"That's why I'm worried. One minutes, you say you're good. The next, you're howling in the middle of the night." Said Isaac.

"Everyone heard that, huh?" Marcus responded a bit embarrassed.

"All the dogs around here howled back. But if you say so. I'll trust you. But now the main reason I wanted to talk to you." Said Isaac.

"And here I thought you really cared." Said Marcus jokingly.

"Drat, I have been discovered. Nah, but, I have been getting a lot of request from Merlin to do some work with other hunters later this month. Which mean, you'll be leading the team. By yourself. Along with whoever you think is the best to be your second in command." Said Isaac.

"Oh, do I have to do all the paperwork?" Marcus asked.

"Yes, you do. But you got this. Just do your best." Said Isaac as they walked back to the others.

The gang were tossing cookies into Garry's mouth as Felicity tossed on and made it in.

"Yes!" Felicity jumped for joy.

"Nice." Said Marcus.

"Alright, other than that, missions are going to calm down for a while. Only small jobs for the rest of the upcoming weeks." Said Isaac.

"So, more free time. We should hang out, all of us. That means you too, I." Said Violet as he pointed at Isaac.

"Yeah, you haven't taken a day off in a while." Said Garry.

"Yeah." Said Iris.

"I guess I can take a day off. I do need to clean out my guns." Said Isaac.

"No, no. Only fun." Said Violet.

"We could go to a restaurant?" Scarlet insisted.

"How about an adult arcade? You guys still have your fake ID's?" Garry asked.

"Way ahead of you." Said Franklin as he had their fake ID's.

"I'm standing right here." Said Isaac.

"We're joking." Said Garry as he tossed his card away.

"Sounds like fun, though." Said Marcus.

"Can I come?" Felicity asked.

"Of course." Said Violet.

Isaac watched with a faint smile as it would be later as classes ended and everyone was heading to their dorms. Isaac was walking down the hallway with Marcus, Violet and Jasper.

"Isaac, you know who'd be great to invite?" Violet asked.

"Who?" Isaac asked.

"Christine, your childhood friend." Said Violet.

"That was specific." Said Jasper.

"You want me to date her, huh?" Isaac asked.

"Yes! C'mon on, I! You know she's totally into you." Said Violet.

"I know. But I have my reasons why I don't date anyone." Said Isaac.

"Help me out here." Violet whispered to Marcus and Jasper.

"She is pretty cute." Said Jasper.

"Yeah, plus so she's cool." Said Marcus.

"See. And if I was a guy or into girls. I'd hit that." Said Violet.

"First off, mind your own business. And second, never talk like that again." Said Isaac.

"Killjoy. Always cramping my style." Said Violet.

"What did I just say?" Said Isaac.

They kept on walking, until a boy with white hair and blue eyes bumped into Isaac. He was with his own gang, but he kept on walking as if nothing happened.

"Punk ass." Said the boy.

"What the hell did you just say!?" Said Marcus.

"Great, it's Jon." Said Violet.

"Keep your dog on a leash, Atwood." Said the boy.

"This mother—" Said Marcus, until Isaac placed his hand in front of him.

"That's good boy." Said the boy as Marcus growled.

"Easy, now. And I would watch your mouth, Orcad. Unless you want what happened last time to repeat again." Said Isaac.

"What did you say?" Jon responded.

"Is everything alright here?" A girl asked.

They all looked as there was girl the same age as them with a wooden sword strapped to her wrist as she had blonde hair in a bun, a scar on her eye, blue eyes and looked noble, and properly dressed, even for a student.

"Now, keep walking Orcad. Or do you want me to escort you back?" The girl asked.

"Whatever, let's go." Said Jon as he and his gang left.

"It seems that trouble always find you, huh, Isaac?" Said the girl as she approached him.

"I guess it does. Thanks, Jennifer." Said Isaac.

"Just try to avoid that fool. Hello, everyone. Violet…" Said Jennifer with a different tone.

"Jennifer…" Said Violet with her arms crossed.

"Could I have a moment with you, Isaac?" Jennifer asked.

"Of course. Guys, go ahead without me. I'll catch up." Said Isaac.

"Alright." Said Marcus.

"Don't take too long." Said Jasper.

"Hmph!" Said Violet as she walked away.

They left as Jennifer waited for a second as no one was around. She then quickly kneeled to Isaac as he saw her, while looking surprised and a bit annoyed.

"Forgive me for speaking to you that way, my lord." Said Isaac.

"Jen, stop. I told you. You don't have to do that." Said Isaac.

"But still. You are my lord. It's against a knights code to address their lord inappropriately. Also, Merlin told me to find you and to go see him. It involves about the sanctuary that was attacked." Said Jennifer as she stood up.

It would be later as Isaac and Jennifer walked into Merlin's office as he was looking outside of his office window and saw the students.

"So what have you learned?" Isaac asked.

"It's just as we feared. A man with a black sword. Richard has escape." Said Merlin.

"Then he's coming after you, Isaac." Said Jennifer.

"But you are safe here. There's no way they can enter my campus without me knowing. Unless he's with a powerful and skilled wizard or witch. But that, I doubt." Said Merlin.

"Then this is a good time to use—" Said Jennifer.

"No. I'm not using it. And even if I could, I'm not using it against him." Said Isaac as curse mark became visible on Isaac's hands.

"Merlin, haven't you found a way to get rid of that curse?" Jennifer asked.

"How many times must I tell you. The magic used on the curse is fueled by dark magic that is ancient. It can only be broken by Isaac or the one who cast it. But that won't happen so easily." Said Merlin.

"So what? Are you just going to face him with just your own strength?" Jennifer responded.

"Yes. I'm not going to rely on anything else. Only what I have. My weapons and my own body. I don't care if he overpowers me by a landslide. End of discussion." Said Isaac as he left.

Jennifer stood silent as Merlin approached her and placed his hand on her shoulder.

"You know that curse mark forces him to face his deeps regrets and his demons. Reliving every traumatic painful moments of his life. A person can take so much, but it's up to him. But from what he's been through, I doubt he wants to use a weapon that's caused him so much trouble." Said Merlin.

Isaac was walking down with his head down look upset, until we see Felicity running towards him as she noticed his face.

"Isaac! Is something wrong?" Felicity asked.

"I'm fine. What are you doing here?" Isaac asked.

"I was wondering if you could help me with—" Said Felicity.

Suddenly, they both felt a strange sensation as everything around them vibrated for a split second. Isaac then grabs Felicity and pulls her away from a large blast of fire. They both land against a wall as Isaac looked and saw a girl dress in a black witch's dress, while her wand was pointing at them.

"Who is that?" Felicity asked.

"Why hasn't the school alarm gone off? Unless…this is alternate dimensional field." Isaac thought to himself.

But the witch shot another blast at them as Isaac jumped into a nearby classroom door and knocked it open as he and Felicity hid.

"Isaac…" Said Felicity as she was scared.

"It's okay. Just stay here. They cast a dimension spell. In simple terms, we're on our own. But don't worry. I'll take care of her." Said Isaac.

He then drew out two pistols from his backpack and walked out of the room aiming at the witch, while she was playing with a rock as it floated around her fingers.

"Who sent you?" Isaac asked.

"I don't want to spoil it." Said the witch.

She then tossed the rock as it glowed and it grew and morphed into a rock golem as it charged at Isaac at full speed. Isaac opened fired on the golem, but the bullets did nothing. The golem swung at Isaac as he ducked and rolled between it's legs. He then quickly changed his guns clip and fired explosive rounds at the golem. The rounds worked on the golem as Isaac fired off its arms and then it's legs. He then quickly turned back around to the witch, aiming his gun. But she used magnetic magic to pull his pistols away from him. They flew to her as she dropped them to the ground at her side.

"Foolish, boy." Said the witch.

Suddenly, the golem retrained Isaac as its arms and legs grew back. Isaac tried breaking free, but the golem put its weight on him.

"Damn it, I can't get free." Isaac thought to himself.

The witch teleported up close to Isaac, while Felicity was still hiding. She peek to see what was happening and saw Isaac trapped. She was about to move and try something, until she heard footsteps in the opposite directions and looked to see who it was. Her face immediately looked in shock as a young man with comb back blonde hair, dark purple eyes, wearing dark clothing and had a sword strapped to his waist walking towards them. Felicity couldn't move as she was trembling and started to tear up. She immediately remember the night of the attack at the sanctuary as he had the same presence, but at the time he was wearing a helmet.

"It's…it's him." Said Felicity in her mind.

We then see then witch comb Isaac's hair back as she chuckled. She lets go of his hair as she stood up straight.

"The similarities are uncanny." Said the witch.

"Let me guess. You were sent by—" Said Isaac.

"By Rick…?" Said the young man as he stood at his side.

Isaac then saw Rick as he gave worried, but angry look. Rick then crouched down to Isaac's face with a smirk on his face as they looked just alike.

"Hey, Isaac. It's been a while, huh, little brother?" Said Rick.

"Brother…?" Felicity thought to herself.

"Hey, Dick." Said Isaac.

"Are you calling me by a nickname or the other meaning?" Rick asked.

"You know which one." Said Isaac.

Rick chuckled as he quickly drew his sword and pointed it at Isaac's neck. Dark magic radiated out of the blade as Rick's eyes glowed, sinisterly.

"I missed you too, I." Said Rick.
