Chapter 57

It would be later as we see the whole gang together as Isaac and Christine were checking up on them, while holding hands.

"I'm glad you guys are doing fine." Said Isaac.

"A step back. But we'll be fine." Said Garry.

"We just need to be more prepared." Said Franklin.

"Good. It's good that you're spirits are still up." Said Isaac.

"That's not the only thing up! Am I right, Isaac? Hey-o!" Violet shouted.

But Isaac hit Violet on the head as her hand was on her head, while her eyes were watery.

"That's you're only warning, Violet." Said Isaac, while the others were snickering.

"That was a warning! Aw, okay." Said Violet.

"But good luck you, guys. I know you can do it." Said Christine.

Violet was about to say something, but Isaac glared at her as she kept hesitated.

"T-Thank you for the support." Said Violet, nervously.

"Alright, you guys get some rest." Said Isaac as he and Christine were leaving.

"Bye, you guys." Said Christine.

"Bye." Said everyone.

"Is it me or is he…drifting away from us?" Said Garry.

"Yeah, but you know how couples are." Said Jasper.

"But you have to admit. They do look nice together." Said Scarlet.

"Freaking, Isaac! I was just messing around. He didn't have to hit me so hard." Said Violet with a pouty face.

"Calm down. But you were messing with Isaac. So you should've saw that coming." Said Marcus.

"So what now?" Garry asked.

"Should we keep training?" Franklin asked.

"Yeah. We should. Let's give it all we have. Am I right!?" Said Marcus.

"Right!" Everyone responded.

We then see Isaac and Christine together as they talking, while we see Felicity with the girls seeing them walk by. They were eating together, while Felicity was staring at them.

"Damn, she is so lucky. Being with a guy like that! I'm so jealous!" Said Brooke.

"The proper word is envious." Said Sabrina.

"Whatever!" Said Brooke.

"But are you alright?" Sabrina asked Felicity.

"Yeah, I'm fine. I'm still a bit upset. But it's just a crush." Said Felicity.

"That's real mature of you." Said Julia.

"Like they say, there's more fishes in the sea." Said Brooke.

"But I don't want a fish." Said Felicity.

"It's a saying, Felicity. It means that there's someone else out there for you." Said Brooke.

"Oh. Thank you, Brooke." Said Felicity.

"Uh, hey, Felicity." Said Abe as he was with Lilith, while approaching them.

They saw that Abe got a hair cut as he looked less feminine, while looking confident.

"Hi, Abe. Are you looking for Isaac?" Felicity asked.

"Uh, yeah. But that can wait. I was looking for you too." Said Abe.

"Why?" Felicity asked.

"Well, I had a conversation with Merlin and he wants to start a new team. And he wants me to lead it." Said Abe.

"That's great!" Said Felicity.

"That's awesome!" Said Brooke.

"He told me to pick a couple of students who I think are good enough to be part of my team. And I was wondering if, you'd like to be part of my team?" Abe asked.

"R-Really!?" Felicity replied.

"Um, shouldn't you be picking people who are pretty skilled?" Sabrina asked.

"Yeah, but I…" Said Abe as he paused and looked to his side, embarrassed.

"Abe, doesn't have much friends. He asked me, but I'm not the best when it comes to combat." Said Lilith.

"I'm willing to take in anyone at this point. You girls can join in too if you want." Said Abe.

"I'm down." Said Julia.

"Yeah! We need to make up a name for our team!" Said Brooke.

"Are sure you want us?" Sabrina asked.

"Who else am I going to ask? But I do have until the Tournament Games end." Said Abe.

"You do make a point. But I'm in. Since they seem happy about it. I can't leave you alone with them." Said Sabrina.

"We need matching uniforms!" Said Brooke.

"No we don't." Said Julia.

We then see Isaac and Christine at his dorm as they were watching TV together, while Christine was drawing on her sketchbook. But someone started knocking on the door as Isaac got up to open it. He opened it and immediately froze as it Summer and her apprentice Carol, while his grandmother looked angry.

"Hello, Isaac. Did you forget to call me when you had time?" Summer asked as she glared him.

"Uh, I'm sorry. You have the wrong room." Said Isaac as he tried closing the door.

But Summer slammed the door open more, startling Christine as Carol stood by, casually.

"Isaac Atwood-Pendragon! Do not tell me you forgot about your grandmother!" Summer yelled.

"Grandmother! Don't say my full name." Isaac whispered.

"Oh, as if I care! I'll knock out any student who heard that and tell them it was just all in their head!" Said Summer.

"Uh, hello, Ms. Pendragon." Said Christine nervously.

"Christine? Hello. I absolutely forgot you came here as well." Said Summer.

"W-Would you like to come in for some tea?" Isaac asked.

"Yes. And it better be good tea." Said Summer as she and Carol walked in.

It would be moments later as Summer sat down and sipped out of her teacup, while Carol stood by her side. Christine and Isaac sat nervously as beads of sweat dripped down the sides of their faces.

"Ah, thank the lord you have good tea. Now, will you explain to me why you haven't called or at the very least message me?" Summer asked.

"A lot has happened, grandmother. Ana's death, Christine and I being part of a mission to kill Bram." Said Isaac.

"Yes, he's right, ma'am." Said Christine.

"I remember asking my grandson." Said Summer.

"I'm sorry, ma'am! I didn't mean to interrupt or be rude!" Said Christine.

"I know what happened and I was informed by Kiyomi about that mission. She was very worried about you since Van asked you to be a part of it. But why didn't you try before all of that happened?" Summer asked.

"I'll be honest. I…kind of forgot." Said Isaac as Christine looked at him in shock.

"I see. I guess you don't care about me." Said Summer as she looked to her side.

"Grandmother, that's not it! I forgot! Please forgive me!" Isaac apologized.

"(Sighs) Calm down. There is no need. It's fine. Forgive me if I make you both nervous and uncomfortable." Said Summer.

"N-No. You're delightful." Said Christine.

"Don't lie to me child." Said Summer.

"I'm sorry! You're very scary!" Said Christine.

"Don't make me repeat myself. There's no need for apologizes." Said Summer.

"Yes, ma'am." Christine replied.

"Grandmother, I am sorry, though." Said Isaac.

"Are you both deaf? Stop apologizing. But I do understand. I was actually going to let all of this go and try another time. Until I saw the report of Bram's extermination. You were able to draw out of Excalibur's power, didn't you?" Summer asked.

"Yes. But it took a toll on me. I wasn't used to using that much magic." Said Isaac.

"The sword was never meant for you. As well, you were born more like your father. But from what happened, you do have potential to wield it. If you like, I could teach you to wield it better." Said Summer.

"I would appreciate that, grandmother." Said Isaac.

"It's the least I can do." Said Summer.

"I guess I have to make time. I am training Abe and Mr. Gurerro is helping me with life force. I think I'm going to have to miss watching the guys. And spent some time with you." Said Isaac as he looked at Christine.

"It's fine. You go do what you need to do." Said Christine.

"Time with you?" Summer asked as they both froze.

"I-I said that out loud, didn't I?" Isaac asked.

"Could you pray tell?" Summer asked.

"Well, Christine and I are dating." Said Isaac.

"Oh…you two haven't slept together, have you?" Summer asked.

Isaac and Christine froze at her question as Summer stood up and approached them. She placed her hand on their shoulders, while glared down at them with great intimidating look.

"Do you two have no resistant!? I expect so much from you, Isaac. You as well, Christine." Said Summer.

"Are we going to die?" Christine asked with fear.

Meanwhile, we see Van standing in front of Ana's memorial that the students and staff made on the campus. He had a small bouquet of rose as she placed them down.

"I'm sorry, Ana. I'm sorry couldn't stop him in time." Said Van with his head low.

Someone else placed a bouquet of flowers down as Van turned to see Kiyomi, showing her respect as her hands were in prayer position.

"I didn't know her well. But from what I've heard, she was a good girl. It breaks my heart to see some youth who haven't lived that long, be taken away early. But these things happen. And there is nothing we can do. And that's the hard part we must accept." Said Kiyomi.

"Yeah, but we can try to prevent it. And I'll make sure it won't happen again." Said Van as he tried walking away.

But Kiyomi grabbed his hand, forcefully stopping him as his hat tilted.

"Jeez, I forgot how strong you are." Said Van as he grabbed his hat.

"Van, don't let this pain harden your heart. And you're not to blame for this. Believe me when I say that." Said Kiyomi with solemn and comforting smile.

Van's face lowered as his hat covered his upper face, while tears streamed down his face.

"I was supposed to protect her. I only blame myself for not being there in time." Van sobbed quietly.

Kiyomi hugged him to comfort him as he cried on her shoulder. Yuko was nearby and saw everything as she quickly remember a moment of the past as she was a 4-year-old girl. Kiyomi had return home from a mission as she was bandaged up and devastated. She approached Yuko with a jacket that Yuko wears in the present as it looked damaged. Kiyomi cried out her eyes as she hugged Yuko.

"I'm sorry, Yuko. I'm so sorry!" Kiyomi cried.

Yuko flashed out of her memory as she sniffed and walked away.

"It's not your fault either, mom." Said Yuko.

It would be the next day and the firth day begun. The arena was filled and everyone were sitting together, while Isaac was training with Summer as Carol helped as his sparring partner. The students stood ready, the headmasters were watching, while Iris was looking for a bit off. Kanika was in her mind as she looked distracted.

Welcome, back ladies and gentlemen to the fifth day of the Tournament Games!" Said Merlin's magic clone.

He crowd cheered as we see Robin Hughes of North Winchester, Hunter Martin of Thunderbird, Cadmael Canul of San Teresa and Iris Nefer of Salem step up.

"Today's challenge will be test these participates accuracy! The four are allowed to use any long-range weapon to hit their target. And their objective is to eliminate as many magical energy animals that are trying to attack them. All participants have five hit points and once all of them are gone, they are out of the challenge. But each kill shot is on point and the student with the most points loses." Said Merlin.

The gang cheered for Iris as she was using her bow, while the others had bows as well. They all stood ready as Iris started to have flashbacks and even saw moments of her being trapped in a sarcophagus. She had a tight grip on her bow, but her other hand was shaking. Merlin opened up a portal as they all walked through and arrived at an open field as it was completely empty. They all quickly readied their bows as multiple magic energy wolves, cougars, bears, falcons made their way to them as they all drew their arrows back as the challenge begins.
