Mark was as good a business man as he is in throwing crazy surprises for Kylie. His main objective for the day was to clear up the misunderstandings between Fredrick Mainfield (one of their main investors) and his board members. He would have called for a formal meeting but since this was a personal matter he decides not to escalate it
... ... ... Fredrick Mainfield has a reputation for gambling which makes him very money orientated, he is currently on his honeymoon with his second wife. Fredrick Mainfield is currently the president of one of the most exclusive clubs in all of Los Angeles with restricted membership and a 7 year waiting list only for the most established and prestigious families.
Mark was invited to his penthouse which had this seventies rustic decor, but was still modern and chic. Fredrick was known for dating younger women that would explain why his wife is a twenty three year old who after only a few weeks of marriage is already looking into her husbands earnings trying to figure out what she can invest into her real estate business, though the twenty five year age difference between the two wasn't too visible.
"Mark I've been expecting you" A voice came from the bar, it was Fredrick, standing next to him was his new wife, Meridith, who never seem to leaves his side or gets her hands off him she's always looking for one excuse or the other to attend his buisness meetings.
"Come have a drink" he continues as Meridith poured out a glass of champagne. Mark walked over to the bar grabbing himself some champagne. Mark could see Meridith's lustful eyes staring at him from top to bottom, Fredrick was an influencal buisness tycoon which makes him an asset to the their business or Mark wouldn't bother coming.
"Let's get straight to business" Mark said to break the ice.
"We've already signed the contract, I don't see the reason why you would want to back out just a few weeks to the launch, why you would want to breach a two million dollar contract knowing all too well your company would incurre a loss" Mark continued.
"Money isn't the problem I just don't want to work with such people" Fredrick said.
Mark knew this wasn't about the board members or the contract, it was Fredrick's persoal problem with him. Actually Fredrick had three kids. Andraya, the oldest who is a graduate student from Harvard University, perfect in every possible way and currently the CEO of one of Frederick's international business. Sandra, the middle child who is also Mark's ex girlfriend, she was more into fashion and modeling last but not least Liam, the youngest (The hopeless one/only son) he was pampered and spoilt to the point of no return. Sandra was by far Fredrick's favorite child so the whole scene that occurred at Kara's engagement must have upsetted her and she surely went all willy nilly to her dad.
"If there's nothing else to say you are free to leave" Fredrick was hell-bent on destroying this investment. But what he didn't know was that Mark came prepared.
