I told my pokemon to get down close to the camp, and soon a pokemon ranger saw us.

"What happened, and why does she have that kind of wound?" The pokemon ranger asked. She's a woman, and has green hair.

"Please help her first, and I'll explain the situation after she gets a treatment." I hurriedly said, and the woman nodded. She then took Liz from golbat's body, and carried her inside the tent.

"Thankfully, I've learned some medical knowledge from my father." The woman said as she lays Liz down on a bed. She then took some medical supplies, and started stitching Liz's wounds after she cleaned it.

I got out of there since the woman started to undress Liz. I looked around to see where I can stay for a moment but soon saw a young man with pokemon ranger's clothes.

"What are you doing here, kid? Are you lost with that golbat and beedrill of yours?" The man asked.

"No, mister. It's just that my maid got injured while we're in the forest. Please, don't get in because another pokemon ranger is inside tending to my maid's wounds." I answered since I don't want this guy entering the camp, and seeing Liz naked.

"Oh alright, then I'll just stay here, and accompany you. You look like you need some company with that sad face of yours." The pokemon ranger said.

I became surprised when I found out that I was making a sad expression. This confused me, and I don't know why I'm making that expression. I promised myself to not feel any kind of compassion to others in this world.

I'm tired of trusting, and I don't want to. I already took that path in my past world. I trusted, and what did I get? Betrayal.

"Hey smile a little, kid. Your maid will be fine, and Flora is a great pokemon ranger. She also has some medical knowledge so your maid will be safe." The man said as he pats my head.

I just nodded, and think about my past life.

I was from a rich family before, like extremely rich. I even got my childhood friend as my wife, and she's beautiful, smart, or in short perfect. I was lucky to be born with that privilege, or so I thought. Everything went downhill when my father died, my siblings became people that I didn't know. They started to kill each other, and that includes me. They wanted to inherit my father's riches alone but for me I didn't care about that. I just wanted a peaceful life so I went into hiding with my wife.

Years went by, and many events that almost killed me happened. Some snipers were hired by my siblings to kill me, some sent assassins, and some even used my closed friends to kill me. The last part hurted me, and it made me angry that the friends that I thought I can trust betrayed me just for money. That's the start that led me to become distrustful of everyone around me except for my wife. That's what I thought since I died because of her. I was at the bathroom that time, I was brushing my teeth when I felt her presence. I thought she'll only be hugging me from behind like she used to do but she actually has a knife with her which she stabbed me with.

That was the last moment I saw until I died. The next thing I knew, I was reborn here. The day I was born here was also the day, I promised myself to not trust anyone anymore.

"Hey, kid! You've been staring at the ground for quite sometime now. You okay? Wanna talk about it? You know talking to strangers can make someone feel better." The man said. I pondered for a while, and then made up my mind if I'll talk about my problems to him or not.

"Would you start to trust someone again when you have been betrayed by your love ones before?" I asked.

"That's pretty deep for a kid like you, but I would. I mean, if those people from your past broke your trust then they didn't love you at all to begin with. I believe that if you love someone then you won't break that person's trust in you, right?" The man answered. I took some time thinking about what he said, and answered.

"Yes, but how can you be sure that a person is loyal to you? Since loyalty and trust are closely related to each other." I asked, and felt a bit lighter talking about this.

"Well if you want to gain someone's loyalty and trust then you'll have to first give yours to that person. And if that person I put my trust on betrays me later on then it's that person's lost since he/she will lose someone like me. That's my take on it though." The man answered.

"I think I got it. Can you give me sometime alone, mister…"

"It's Orange. The name's Orange. Weird name, huh?" The man said, and I chucked a little when I heard his name. It's been awhile since I smiled like this.

"I'll be going then, and as a last advice. Don't think too much, and just face your problems head on. You'll get your answers when you get there." Orange said as he walks away.

I then looked at the sky, and pondered about the things the man said earlier. Do I have to break my promise from the start, and start to trust some people again? I don't know if I can but what Liz did to me earlier is a proof that she's a person worthy of my trust.

Maybe, I'll start trusting her first, and this distrustful nature of mine might get cured in the process. I was thinking about these things that I didn't notice two shadows getting to both of my sides, and then hugging me. It was golbat and beedrill.

I then realized that I was starting to fix my distrustful nature, and I was already starting to trust someone else even if they are not human.

"Thank you, golbat and beedrill. I trust you both too, and my next goal is to try to trust Liz. If she betrays me, I still got both of you, right?" I said to the both of them, and they made pokemon sounds as an answer. I smiled seeing them agree to me, and I hugged them tighter.
