Paper marriage

Arie cupped Darien's face in his palms as Darien who was partly lying on top of him kissing him. Darien caressed his body with his tongue, and Arie could feel an urge brewing up again. He couldn't get enough of his boyfriend after missing him for so long.

Arie pushed Darien to lie flat on his back while standing up. He looked at his boyfriend's naked body for a while wearing a grin.

"If you don't stop now you'll be late for work."

"I still have over two hours left," Arie said kissing Darien's chest and then going down slowly. Darien closed his eyes placing his hand on Arie's hair and letting out calm moans.

"Are you gonna go down on me?" Darien asked chuckling.

"Yeah, don't you want me to?"

"Yeah," Darien bit his lips.

"Yeah." Arie laughed then he proceeded to take Darien from below while the latter gripped onto the blanket trying his hardest not to scream in ecstasy. Only Arie gets him like this, so weak and vulnerable.

Arie's phone suddenly rang which angered Darien who hates the sudden interruption. He took the phone before Arie to see who the caller was. Arie waited to hear him say a name that isn't important so he can get back to making love to his boyfriend.

"It's your girlfriend," Darien said with a scowl. It took Arie a while to realize what Darien meant. He took his phone off him and saw his guess was right, it was Jem.

"Hey," He said rising to sit at the edge of the bed.

"Hey," Jem entered the taxi she stopped placing her phone between her shoulder and her ear.

"Is everything alright?" Arie asked.

"I don't know, Matt and I didn't get a chance to talk."

"What about the meeting?"

"It was okay, I did what you asked I accepted his proposal."

"Shut up," Arie yelled excitedly. Though Jem might not know it, he knows the two of them are perfect for each other. Their chemistry is unrivaled and he ships them regardless.

"We should celebrate this."

"Uh, why?"

"Cause Jem you're going to be married to Matteo Valdez. You know you love him."

"I do..."

"What's there to talk about, come over to my place, I'll call Daisy so the four of us can all celebrate together."

"I'm sorry, four?"

"Yeah, Darien got into the city this morning. He's here right now."

"Wow! That's amazing I can't wait to see him. It's been a while."

"He's excited to meet you too." Arie looked at Darien, he wasn't showing as much enthusiasm as he expected.

"I'll call Daisy you just get your little ass over here."

"My ass is on its way." They both laughed and hung up.

Jem stared at her phone screen go dark before putting it back into her purse. Arie is trying to make it all sound good, it will be if Matt was taking it the way she was. If not for anything but for the fact that they were good friends before all of this. That shouldn't change, especially now.

"Or maybe dad was right about him the whole time," Jem said to herself but loud enough that the driver had to look at her from the rearview mirror.

"Everything alright Miss?" the driver said.

"Yeah, everything's great," Jem forced a short laugh.

"If you say so, just wanna let you know I'm a great listener."

"Yeah, thanks but I'm fine." She was smiling more genuinely now.

The driver nodded wearing a grin. "Ok."

Darien stood up from the bed and went over to Arie and took out the first sweatpants he could find. Arie stared at him going about his activity while on the phone with Daisy.

"I'm going to get something to eat," Darien told Arie who had just hung up the phone call he was in.

"Jem and Daisy are coming over, Jem finally found the breakthrough she'd been looking for."

"I'm happy for her Arie, it's just I came to spend the day with you, not all our friends."

"Come on we have till your shoot is over."

Darien rolled his eyes, "what are we celebrating actually?"

"You know Silver right?"

"Yeah, the same Silver Aubrey owes a billion bucks."

"Well, we know Matteo Valdez is the CEO of Silver,"

"I'm not sure who the owner is Arie, he never makes a public appearance. He is only known as Silver."

"Well we met the owner and he asked Jem to be his wife."

"What!"

"Yeah, Silver and Jem who would have thought."

"What does a guy like him want with Jem, she is just an ordinary baker and he's like the alpha male of this city."

"What are you implying?" Arie furrowed his brows.

"Well were they dating?"

"No, he offered her a job at Silver in exchange for her becoming his wife. My own Jem, Mrs. Silver."

"That's quite generous of him, but how does that help her clear her debt?"

Arie shrugged his shoulder. "I guess all her salary would be given to the company until her debt is cleared."

"So it's paper marriage."

"Does it matter? Let's just get some snacks ready for when they both arrive."

"Don't worry I'll just order pizza."

Darien walked out of the bedroom and went to get a drink and snack from the fridge. He knows Arie has some chocolate chip muffins in the fridge which he took.

He sat on a dining chair chewing on a muffin while screwing his phone. He loves and cares for Jem a lot but having her as a rift between all his relationships is what he feels hostility toward.
