Pizza delivery

"Woof woof woof..."

"That weird doorbell again," Darien yelled at Arie.

Arie laughed running towards the door. "I don't have a dog to scare off invaders." He winked.

"You're one naughty blonde dude Arie."

Arie opened the door and saw Daisy standing in front of him holding the hand of a little boy.

"Sean's son wasn't invited," Arie said looking at the scowling face of the little boy. They don't get along very well so Arie concluded the boy was evil, especially cause the boy is on to him.

"Come on his babysitter is busy today and Sean is not home."

"Alright," he rolled his eyes and scoffs. "He is still not invited,"

Daisy shoved Arie out of the way and walked into the apartment holding the hands of the little boy she came with. The boy stepped on Arie's toe hard before going inside with his soon-to-be stepmother. Arie raised his foot groaning in pain, he glared at the boy who was smirking at him.

"I hate you." He mouthed. The little boy sticks out his tongue taunting him. Arie closed the door and hoped this little monster doesn't ruin his little party.

Daisy walked into the living room with no idea that Darien was sitting in the dining nearby staring at her with a smile on his face. He knew she has no idea he was there.

"Hey, Daisy." He said to stun her and it worked. She turned around swiftly to find who called her to her surprise it was Arie's boyfriend, Darien.

"Darien," She gasped. "Oh my God, it's been forever."

He laughed so did she, then he stood up and walked up to her.

"When did you arrive?"

"This morning." They hugged giggling gaily.

"Gosh, I missed you," Daisy said hugging him again.

"Likewise Daisy," Darien said smiling.

Darien's eyes drifted to the boy standing behind Daisy.

"I didn't know you have a son."

She chuckled. "He's not mine, he's Sean's."

Darien was quiet for a while staring at her thoughtfully. It was obvious he is not certain who Sean was but she waited for him to guess who it was.

"The boyfriend?" he finally spoke with uncertainty making the other two laugh and Daisy nodded.

Sean and Daisy have been dating for nearly five months and Darien hasn't gotten a chance to meet him personally but Daisy never fails to mention him whenever they talk on the phone.

"Daisy I want to take a look around."

"Sure, knock yourself out."

Zack ran off to give himself a tour around Arie's home. Arie is very much aware that Zack has other intentions probably to burn his house down or jump on his bed. So he ran after him yelling at the boy, "Zack you can't play inside my house. Daisy if he breaks something you're paying for it."

Daisy and Darien laughed at the way Arie chased after his little arch-enemy.

The pizza guy strode into Arie's yard carrying three boxes of pizza. He approached his front door and rang the doorbell but what he heard next made him almost take on his heels. It sounded like an adult Rottweiler was coming to greet him.

On his way out of the porch, he bumped into Jem panting heavily. Jem held his arm concerned about the horrified teenage boy who was only trying to do his job.

"Hey,"

"I'm terrified of dogs, especially big ones."

"Calm down." Jem's eyes followed his until he was able to calm down and settle his gaze in hers. He could finally notice the beauty in front of him, and for some reason, her face seems to calm him down the longer he stared at her. It's like the purity of her heart reflected through her eyes. He suddenly smiled subconsciously.

"Do you live here?" He stuttered.

"No, but I can take it in for you." The pizza guy handed her the three boxes not looking away from her gaze for one minute.

"Thanks, um... Is there really a dog in there?"

"Can I tell you a secret?" she leans forward and whispered the rest of her words. "There's no dog in there." She giggled.

The pizza guy heaved a sigh of relief. "Thank you. I have to go now."

"Ok bye." She waved at him as he walked turning back now and then to stare at her. Admiring her wonderful figure without thinking twice if she has a boyfriend or not.

Jem walked to the door, about to open it but the door was opened before her hand touched the handle. She was albeit startled but composed herself and saw the person who opened the door was Darien.

"Darien," she said smiling at him. He didn't reciprocate nor did he act surprised to see her though it's been a long time since they saw each other.

Darien's eyes lingered on her from head to toe, he noticed the boxes she was carrying.

"Hey," he said forcing a small grin.

Even Darien doesn't know how their friendship keeps withering. Yeah, he knows why but it still surprises him cause they use to be so close. They were friends long before he and Arie became a couple. So much has happened over the years, and so much has changed including their friendship.

He took the three boxes of pizza she was carrying. "Long time no see." He said eyes fixed on hers.

"I've missed you too Darien." She said then hugged him. Darien hesitated for a bit but later responded by hugging her with his free hand.
