Not Important (?)

Farel blinked his eyes as the sunlight penetrated the gap in the bedroom window which automatically greeted his sense of sight indirectly. He massaged his forehead which felt very and very sore, maybe the effect of the alcohol he drank last night.

He doesn't remember anything except that he went to a disco with Rani, then he got too carried away and drank some drinks with fairly high alcohol content. After that, he didn't remember anything and suddenly ended up in this bedroom.

With a small grin, he began to remove the blanket covering his body. Raising his hands in the air to stretch the numb muscles in his body, he gently rubbed his face.

"Wake up Farel, it's already noon."

A soft voice began to enter his eardrums so politely, gosh it was so soft. However, it did not make Farel affected to put his heart on the woman. After all, he was only slightly amazed by the 1-minute. And of course, that won't change his feelings for his wife.

His eyes sharpened when he saw Zulfa who had tidied the room, as evidenced by the air freshener that smelled fragrant in every corner of the room. Ah, even more than neat, very neat. But his eyes turned to Zulfa who didn't give her morning smile, and the woman didn't even say good morning to her.

Usually, without being asked or waited on, Zulfa is eager to do other things such as saying hello in the morning and so on.

But now, Zulfa's face looked flat, and wasn't in the mood to say some of the sweet words she used to say. But then again, Farel didn't want to know and didn't want to care about what was going on to the point that Zulfa acted much more differently than usual.

That's none of Farrell's business. That was the thought that was always in his head. What's the point of thinking about what happened to that woman? Oh, so unimportant. He'd better think about how to make Rani his life partner, not Zulfa. What he doesn't want to have, he definitely won't fight for it. No matter how hard the woman tried to attract his attention, he also walked away with an extremely cold gaze towards Zulfa.

Farel immediately got up from his sleep without answering Zulfa's words at all about the afternoon, he started to get out of bed and with unsteady steps, he started to go to the bathroom leaving the woman with eyes that continued to stare at him. And Zulfa immediately turned around to tidy up the mattress that Farel was sleeping on.

Zulfa is very patient and kind, but her appearance is not as fashionable as other women, according to Farel. After all, everyone has a different point of view, and this is his point of view. So, for whatever happens next, please don't blame him. Because something that is forced, will not produce well. And even better, he just walked with the flow of fate that seemed to play a trick on him. Silly marriage involving only one heart, geez.

After successfully locking the bathroom door, Farel immediately walked towards the sink that had a mirror installed in front of it. Quickly, he immediately washed his body with fresh cold water that greeted every skin of his body.

He bet that if it was almost noon, it was proven that no birds were chirping that greeted his ears, luckily today was a holiday so he didn't have to be busy cursing Zulfa for being late. For example, if he is late and only wakes up at this hour on weekdays, he will surely be angry.

After he finished showering, he immediately wrapped a towel around his waist and started to exit the bathroom. His gaze fell on a plate of egg and sausage fried rice along with hot tea on his table, not forgetting that Zulfa had also prepared clothes for him which were placed on the edge of the bed. He rolled his eyes, this must be one of Zulfa's plans to make him fall in love. Will never happen! Whatever it is, if this heart still has a lover, what can you do?

With a straight face, Farel put on his clothes and walked out of the room. As usual, he never intended to touch anything that Zulfa served him, for fear that it would not taste good and not suit his taste.

Farel is used to eating sumptuous dishes, but Zulfa always serves the usual menu. Processed tofu and tempeh, crispy fried chicken, spicy omelet, various kinds of stir-fried vegetables, and many other foods that he had never tasted before. There is no curiosity to taste it at all, let alone intend to eat the food until it reaches the digestive system in the stomach.

"I want to go," said Farel when he saw Zulfa who was relaxing in front of the television, she was enjoying the time because the woman had done all her homework.

They have a household assistant to take care of all the household chores so that Zulfa is not burdened. But, the woman said, a good wife still carries out her duties, including taking over the housework. So, yes Farel would never have a problem with it. As long as it's comfortable, go for it.

Zulfa turned her head when she heard a baritone voice that entered the listener's senses, then just nodded without saying a word and went back to watching her favorite Korean drama which was now clearly displayed on the TV screen.

Even during the sad scene, Zulfa still showed her uncharacteristically flat face, which would surely dissolve in tears while hugging the sofa cushions with tears streaming down her face. This time the atmosphere was different.

Wait, what's with Zulfa? Does this have anything to do with Farel? Or... No, there's no way this woman is jealous of Rani. Yes, his girlfriend must have come here with him drunk.

Once again he brushed off his damn mind that was starting to wonder what was up with Zulfa. Either way, it's none of his business. Keep in mind.

Again, he didn't care. He seemed to have to instill a series of sentences of indifference to Zulfa in his brain.

You need to remember, Farel will never care about Zulfa. And it lasted until the next day, and maybe forever will be like that.

"I want to find something to eat." Farel continued because he was still not satisfied when Zulfa was silent without answering his words. No, it wasn't that he had started to love her, but it felt different when such a talkative woman turned into a quiet person like this.

It was as if something was missing, but Farel didn't want to admit that Zulfa's changes today made him lonely. Because every time, there must be this woman's behavior that seems to act to steal his attention. Whether it's taking him shopping at the supermarket, to taking him to watch a movie together and accompanied by popcorn. He would never agree to any of that, ever.

Zulfa looked back. "Didn't I already make you some food?" She asked with raised eyebrows, she was surprised by Farel's words. Food is provided and you just have to eat it, why should you just leave it?

It doesn't appreciate the efforts of a wife to continue to be devoted to her husband even though day by day it feels more and more stifling.

"I don't like your cooking," Farel replied lightly. He didn't even care if Zulfa felt hurt by his words.

Zulfa took a deep breath, then deepened her patience for the umpteenth time. "My cooking never fits your tongue, does it?" She asked with an increasingly sad face.

Farel nodded his head, his unsmiling face as if to say that he was telling the truth without a single lie. "All you know, you have to be self-aware," he explained while taking a deep breath and letting it out slowly.

"I know, Farel, but it's my job to make your food," Zulfa said in a low tone. Which woman is strong enough to be treated like this? There is not any.

"Don't waste any more groceries just to make me food I've never even touched," said Farel trying to get out of the topic of conversation that might invite a commotion.

Zulfa smiled while shaking her head, not understanding Farel's continuous behavior like this. "I just want you to respect me as a husband to your wife." She said, her voice getting lower.

Farel hates this topic of conversation. Zulfa didn't know how sensitive he was about this. "Shut up, you don't have to complain about anything," he said in a tone full of stress, not forgetting the annoying growl that escaped his mouth.

Annoyed, Farel took his car keys. He thinks of going to Rani's apartment to unwind while he is in this house. Zulfa is too demanding for him to accept the reality that he never expected at all. Only Rani can understand it, only Rani.

"Don't look for me or you will regret it," said Farel in a threatening tone, his gaze still fixed on Zulfa. And with a little hope that the woman had to look for him to leave so that Zulfa would know that Farel wanted to make out with Rani.

Indeed sometimes men are so selfish, want to be chased and fought for, but can never really appreciate and give full attention.

"Don't be too confident, Farel. Who wants to look for you?" Zulfa asked herself that she had prepared her well to speak such a twisted fact. Who doesn't worry and feel tight when a husband says that?

Farel felt a tightness in his chest. This was the first time Zulfa had shown such a trait to him. Are the women tired? Trying not to be angry, he started to leave the house and left Zulfa who was now crying silently.

Today, Farel will spend time with Rani, his most perfect lover.

What? Perfect? Yes, it's perfect because Rani can calm him down when he finishes arguing with Zulfa.

This is a bad day for Farel.
