Chapter 20 Next plan

It's early in the morning when he made his way back to his house feeling very exited. He even humming a little tune as he climbed the hill.

When he arrived at his house, he saw a bowl of porridge swarming with an ant. "damn, I forgot about last night dinner." he smacked his forehead.

He quickly throw it away and wash it before Dini come back for breakfast. It's kind of awkward situation to just leave the food after he himself ask for it.

After everything's done, he finally lay down in his bed resting.

' my ability is truly limited without forming my energy foundation. It's better to own the engine than constantly using rechargeable battery..' Lucis stare at the roof that look like it will fall over him anytime soon.

'I've heard about this magical stone called "sun stone" that can be use as a light source. I wonder if it react the same as light energy for photosynthesis so I can plant herb in that cave.. ' the sun stone is a luxury material use by noble and cultivator. They're rare item that can be mine is some part of the world.

'I can also make green house to plant vegetable during winter.. damn, so much stuff I can do but I don't have resources to.'

Lucis close his eyes and calm his mind. 'I can rush this out now. Stuff like these attract too much attention. I need to bide my time.'

Lucis sit up and reach the sack under the straw bed. He take out the purple jade and began immersed himself on the technique inside.

The technique is truly advanced and almost beyond understanding if one is not knowledgeable about the teleportation array no matter how high one cultivation are.

'the way this world pass on techniques is through cultivation and casting spell, only explaining about the effect and nothing about the logic behind it like science. What the heck is this "when one have completed magic core, one can bend space and travel kilometers away.. " shit. Can he just compile the data and logic in here instead of being the mystery majestic master?" Lucis frown while reading at the technique. Without being the inventor of the skill, one has to develop the technique himself when they learn it.

'on the bright side, I can make portable storage dimension with this technique. I don't need those magical ring and portable magical sack anymore.' Lucis smile as he slowly pull away the purple jade from his forehead.

"what the!" Lucis shout out loud surprised by Dini sitting on the stool not too far away from him staring at him.

'she have so much hidden ability.' Lucis wipe the cold sweat on his forehead. Dini act like nothing happened and just smile warmly at him

"Dini, when did you arrive?"

"I just did. It look like you're busy so I just sit and wait for you." she's didn't even feel guilty and maintain her gentle personality in front of Lucis.

Lucis look at the end table beside his bed and see the rice on the bowl and some meat stew on another bowl. His food is getting better recently instead of just simple porridge.

"do you need anything?" Lucis look at Dini as he start eating his breakfast.

"it's nothing. Luna ask me to send her thanks for the medicine yesterday.." she about to say something but hesitated and stop talking.

"what is it?" Lucis frown. He realized that Dini is acting unusual and there's a hint of her feeling guilty.

"about the medicine that you gave me yesterday.." she look at Lucis expression and feel guilty and worried at Lucis expression.

".. I gave it to my friend, Yina." she study Lucis expression carefully and ready to apologize if he's displeased. According to her grandma Nan, the medicine should cost about 50 gold coin or something in the market.

"Em, it's nothing important." Lucis nod and continue eating. The medicine is easy to make and doesn't cost too much of his herb supply anyway.

Dini beam with smile when she look at Lucis nonchalant expression.

"so, she your friend too.." Lucis said casually trying to break the silence between them.

"everyone is friends in this village. This is just a small village after all, but the one I'm close with is Luna and Yina. They're my best friend." she said it as she emphasis the best friend like it is the most important.

"Em." Lucis nod in understanding. "what about Kuji?"

Dini eyes quickly pop wide open when Lucis said Kuji name and suddenly remembered that Lucis and Kuji working together yesterday in the forest.

"Erm.. I'm friends with her too, but not really close since she always go out hunting.." she wanted to say about how she can't really get along with her personality but she worried that her gently image is ruined.

"ah.. Understandable. That brat like talking nonstop.. I'm curious how she hunt with that blabbing mouth of her.." Lucis shake his head. It's not that he dislike Kuji, it's just that she sometimes talking nonsense and doesn't know how to shut up. It's amused Lucis but it get pretty annoying when all she did is just bragging about herself.

Dini cover her mouth and giggling at Lucis. The more she stay with him, the more she understands his personality.

"right, do you know about sun stone?" Lucis change the subject feeling that it doesn't sound good talking about one of her fellow villagers. He's after all, still new here.

"sun stone?" Dini frown and think deeply about it. "I'll ask my grandpa later." She feel a bit dejected not being useful to Lucis.

"ah okay. By the way, you don't have to bring me food for lunch and dinner, I'll be going somewhere and only return late at night today." Lucis put down the empty bowl and swipe his belly feeling satisfied.

After Dini leave, Lucis start packing his stuff which he can bring in the cave and which is not. While he can use air bubbles spell to bring item inside without it getting wet, some stuff like his bed is just too big. Besides, the cave doesn't have enough oxygen flow and he can't brew medicine in there.

His plan is too expand the cave and build a couple of upper layer room for cultivating. The room he made yesterday still in the level of extremely thick energy flow. His body won't be able to handle it if he cultivating there. Even him just being there, he have to be extra careful so he doesn't accidentally absorb the energy in there.

At this point, his body is like a dry towel and the energy in the cave is a river water. His body won't be able to refine the energy as he absorb it even if he releases 99 percent of the energy he absorb. It's like charging a battery but the voltage is just too high for the battery.

The location of the entrance of the cave underwater is a bit hidden around the corner of the river and there's a lot of huge river rock. Unless it's accidently, it's hard to find the hole. Lucis use the black layer stone to cover the entrance and shape it similar to river rock to prevent any energy leaking outside.
