Chapter 21: Foundation Potion

Even with Lucis eyes enchanted with energy, the cave underwater is still too dark dark but it is still manageable compare to normal human eyes. he can roughly see everything with the assistance of his devine sense.

The first thing he does when he reach his cave again, he widen the room and turn it into a big hall. He's not in a hurry to make upper layer room and instead he made another small room beside the main hall where he plan to put his precious stuff temporarily. So far, solidus sword is the best he got.

'I estimate that I'm really close to the magic vein now. With how thick this energy are, I doubt there won't be any magic stone vein nearby. There must be at least one no matter how new this vein move here.. " the so called magic vein is where the world energy flow like a human vein across the earth from the center of the world.

Lucis look at the 10 meter wide newly made room on the left near the entrance of the main hall. The hall and the newly made room only separated by 2 meters thick stone and the entrance to this room is round with a crude spinning disk door. He lack the material to make a rune door so he only made a simple manual door at the moment.

After appreciating for a couple of minutes of his new room and imagining a lot of treasure in there, he start digging down a small hole inside the new room.

He only dig for a couple of meters down before he stop digging.

'this Stone is getting harder and harder to smash..' Lucis stop and frown. He barely dig ten step downward and the stone here is harder than the stone in the hall.

He's pretty profession at energy conversion but not item enchantment. He worried that if he forcefully continue digging down, his sword will get damaged. this make Lucis disappointed a lot. he was expecting some magic stone down there.

He put this task for future plan and return to the main hall making another 3 meter wide hole at the north side.

After digging 3 meter deep, he start digging straight up to make a new upper level room.

He spend the whole day making layer upon layer of room until he feel comfortable to cultivate before building a proper room.

'39 layer, I should be just right under the black stone laye nowr. I should be about hundred meters from the surface now.' Lucis wipe his sweat. he just finish building a small 10 meter wide simple room.

'I can expand it in the future but first..' he look back at the pile of stone behind him. He only made 10 trip to the surface so far to throw all the stone he dig outside but there's still too many left. He's reminded again that he really want those magical storage, start imagining how convenient it will be if he have one of those.

In actuality, there really are something like this. It is dimensional crystal ball use by the current magician and cultivatior but it's really expensive and rare. Even in the big clan like DemonCloud clan, only some of the elder or the clan leader themselves have. As for the sack of holding and ring storage, they're exist but it is considered to be the top treasure in the whole world with the ring being the most valuable treasure. Making such treasure is only something that people in the ancient time that understands the space law can do and these people already disappear from this world, either they're dead or already on some other part of the galaxy.

The said ball is something that can only be found deep in the sea from some ferocious species known as boneless creeper. killing such creature is already difficult but the most troublesome is they're extremely difficult to find.

After smoothing the the new room a bit, Lucis sit down and begin cultivating with the wood energy technique restoring his fatigue.

'they said its wood but it's more like life energy. it's a mixture of couple of elements. I can feel my lifespan extended with every additional drop of energy I made.'

'since it said to be the best with healing, why the creator name it as wood? I know i can disregard photosynthesis reaction on plants with this energy but that's only part of it..'

Every time Lucis start cultivating with the wood energy technique, he will question the creator intelligent and compare it with his earth knowledge. actually, he's quite stupid himself. he's just really observant than other people which make him more or less touching a bit of the right information.

The speed of his cultivation is almost 10 times when he's trial disciple in NorseThunder clan but still consider slow compare with using the energy gathering potion. Sadly, he really lack the ingredient at the moment. He save those that he found in the forest until he can make his herb garden in the future.

He cultivating in the cave comfortably until it's near dawn and return to his house for a quick nap. He doesn't really need a sleep at this point but he wants to maintain his normal human life.

Beside having a breakfast send by either elder Dun or Dini. Lucis will spend one hour scouting the seven mountain circling the village for possible danger and have some chat with Boris about the situation since he's more or less the guard in this village.

The location of the village is right at the center of the 7 chain of mountain which make it really good for a base.

Lucis usually avoid meeting other people until he return to his safe heaven cave and continue cultivating. He put away all the expansion project of his cave until he form his foundation for now.

In a blink of an eye, a month pass by and the day of the traveling merchant visiting the village is coming.

In this one month, Lucis managed to cultivate 210 of energy and ready for building his foundation. But because of how he wants no accidents during the process, he want to use foundation potion during the process so he wasted more time gathering the material.

Building a foundation is not that hard but the risk of failure during the process reach 50 percent making most of the cultivator to use foundation pill or potion this assist them. The thing is, this recipe require rare herb and hard to find in the market. Two of these herb need to be at least 50 year old before they can be use and this herb required special care and environment. Only a big family and clan have the resources to grow this herb through their generation after generation. Of course, Lucis doesn't know this. He just blame the 7 mountain for lacking resources.

Fortunately for Lucis, he can make these 50 years herb effect just by combining other herb. He only need the correct chemical reaction from that herb and that is easy with just combining some herb and poisonous plant. Even though the type of plant he need is kind of difficult to find and doesn't grow nearby, he still can replace it with some ingredients form beast. To make it short, he have everything he need. The only thing stopping him is to waiting some plant that he need as part of the ingredients to grow mature enough.
