Chapter 25: Curse It

Lucis sit down with cross leg looking at the 6 wooden cup of potions in front of him. The 39 floor room is looking a lot more suitable for cultivation now. There's stone table and an altar with straw mat at the back of the cave. There's an empty shelf beautifully dug at both side and there's Simple rune carved at the door preventing anyone from opening it from the outside.

Lucis take one bowl and drank it in one mouthful, closing his eyes and wait for the medicine start effect. He suddenly feel quite nervous after all the hard work he did to calm his mind.

The medicine didn't take long before Lucis start feeling the effects. It's a lot more powerful than he thought it's like his organ began vibrating but so far no harmful effects.

'there's no going back now.. '

He start shifting the energy slowly expanding one by one going to his stomach starting the process of reshaping and opening his meridian.

As soon as he start, the river up above him start vibrating and all the fish in it running in fear like they're being chased by predator.

As soon as Lucis managed to expand one of his meridian, the energy in his body feel like boiling and escaping from his body.

'so this is what they mean by low talents. My spiritual root barely can contain the energy I have.. '

Lucis speed up the process before his spiritual root collapsed directly hammering the second point of meridian in his body. Luckily for him, he have huge amount of energy. Just before he start building his foundation, he have 300 drop energy circling in his body. He want to get more but his spiritual root star collapsing as soon as he cultivating.

With his huge amount of world energy, Lucis didn't feel threatened and continue forming more meridian point.

Time pass.

Lucis didn't realize but he's been staying in his cave for a week and the process still going on.

'my talents is too low, I'm barely forming 26 point and all this time's' Lucis frown and start having a doubt and losing confident. This is his weakness, he doesn't have elder to guide and teach him and he's basically walking in the dark following some voice as a guide.

As he started forming the 27 point, he feel like his organ start stiffening without warning. It's like his body getting hard. Forming the meridian vein at this moment is getting harder but still possible, it's just that he feel like going against powerful wave. Previously, the river is a bit calm and he can still walk with ease but now he can barely move a step forward.

Lucis open his eyes slowly and drink the second cup of foundation potion.

The stiffness in his body starts slowing down and the vibration return in his organ.

"fuh.. " Lucis wipe the sweat on his forehead. " it seems the potion effect earlier is disappearing." he's frightened by himself. The potion is supposed to be absorb completely in 3 day but his spiritual root is just too weak extended the time and wasting more of Lucis energy.

He continue add more meridian point across his body. He need 108 point which is more than any he ever saw in the book.

"the legendary magician only made 69 point, but mine is way more.. "According to the book, the most powerful spell ever recorded in magician field only need 66 point of meridian. More than that is useless and the failure rate of building foundation getting higher. Of course this legendary character with 69 point have enough resources and elixir also with a dozen of elder helping him during his foundation building process.

The only thing that giving Lucis confidence, the jade mentioned that the success rate is higher than normal but it didn't mention the exact number of how high it is.

"I guess this method is made for someone with talent.. Maybe the person that should get this method supposed to get some test or something" he thinks back on the sack that is placed like its something that isn't important in the cave.

And that's exactly what's going on. The cave legacy for this jade is made for someone at the basic energy gathering state. The place even have restrictions placed that prevent anyone that have forming their foundation or core and the later stage.

Unfortunately for the legacy owner, the person that stole this is just another legendary character in this world. Not only is this technique is stole from his legacy cave, all the treasure that locked beyond the gate have been swept clean by this legendary character.

Lucis quickly put all of this though away and focus on building his foundation. lose focused can harm his in this operation.

Time passed by on the surface and a cold winter wind start blowing on the 7 dragon mountains. Lucis have been staying in his cave for more than a month.

His last foundation potion have been used up 2 weeks ago and now he's forming meridian point without the potion assistant. The further he got, the harder it is.

He's on 100 point at this moment and his energy is almost dried up. His face is pale and his body shriveled up like he's been hungry for a couple of months already.

During this time, the water up above that vibrating from time to time become a huge attraction to the villagers. Sometimes a whirlpool can be seen on the water and sometimes stone would floating around.

It's been a vacation site for the villagers especially the kids. The riverbank is their new playground. At this point most of the villager though Lucis have left the village making them feeling anxious for the incoming beast tide. Some even blame him for being selfish too.

On the bright side, a lot of the men that have been traveling or moving away from this village have returned. The rumor of DragonFort village have hunt a lot of wild beast spreading like crazy attracting the wandering young men back to this village.

Luna, Yina and Dini and a few other young girl in the village instantly became a huge topic in the village and the surrounding villages. After all, they no longer look skinny and destitute. Their skin is like fairy enchanting their already beautiful appearance. New and colorful clothes like the people from the city. Everything changed except their mud house of course.

For some reason, even some family that have move to the town has returned.

Couple of weeks pass by..

Snow start falling and they're no longer any farmers going to their farm. They stay in the house and visiting neighbors feeling like a vacation. They have a ton of food supply, warm clothes and a lot more people around the village. It feel like vacation.

While they're on vacation, Lucis that have been staying for 2 months underground is on the 108 point meridian.

He no longer look calm. He's been fighting for his life since 3 days ago scraping every energy he can gather around and force it to the 108th meridian slowly building it.

His body shriveled up like a corpse and his skin look like an old man. His breath is long and heavy. He's occasionally coughing blood and even almost lost consciousness multiple times.

"I'm gonna die.. " his voice is hoarse but his lips twist up with a smile.

"this is really not made for me, if not for the lightning energy I used to cultivate... I'm long gone now.. "

"God.. If you exist, before I die.. please let me know why I regain memories from my past life..? Lucis look up at the ceiling with desperate expression. The last process of 108 point is forming automatically, he have no control over it as this last point sucking the last strand of energy he have.

The process is slow and painful. He start cursing God under his breath for torturing him before he die.

He's struggling for 2 more day painfully. The only thing he can do is slowing down the energy sucked by his 108 point.

"fck this..."

"fck that..."

"...and fck you too god..."

"may you die with torture for a thousand years..."

"Fck you.. Fck off and go fck yourself..."

Instead of dying, his expression slowly turn vicious as times passed. He throw every insult word he can think of from earth and this world combined.

"if I survive this.. I promise... the first God I see will die by my hand.. " Lucis eyes red as he stare at the ceiling. Blood dripping down from his mouth, nose and eyes. His 6 sense start fading and the pain start numbing him.

Lucis close his eyes with angry expression and start absorbing energy madly trying to regain strength to control his body back.
