Chapter 26: Bending The Space
In the face of death, a lot of thought running in Lucis mind. He even though about killing himself for a couple of times already. If not for his self made anger, he'd be dead already.
"energy.. I need energy.." Lucis open his eyes. His eyes is red and furious.
He force all the energy he have left slowly floating to the door. every centimeters feel like a day as he move. Not only it is painful, he even cough up blood and feel like his organ twisting inside
As soon as he reached the secret entrance that lead directly to the water, he completely lose control his body and fall down to the bottom of the cave in front of the hidden entrance of the hall.
There's no loud impact as he reached the bottom floor. The ground is not even cracked as his back hit the stone floor. Instead, the sound of his bone breaking filling the whole cave.
Lucis didn't lose his consciousness after he fall from the 39 floor. The pain make him feel like he's body is being torn apart and stab by a thousand blade. The pain so real that he almost went crazy.
"hahaha... Hahaha.. Hahahahahaha." Lucis laugh when he realized that he still alive after falling for hundreds meters without his energy protection. He even wish he was dead with the fall earlier.
He smiled and slowly close his eyes and start circulating his energy and absorbing the energy around him. He completely disregard about refining the energy and directly mixed it in the leftover energy he have.
His smile getting wider when he realized that he can absorb energy. It's like a land that just experienced a long drought finally get flooded with water. Instead of feeling more alive, he's start suffocating.
"at least I have enough energy now... Let's see if you can absorb faster than me." Lucis look at his chest and expanding his devine sense examining his meridian point.
The thickness of the energy flow at the bottom really didn't disappoint him. He's absorbing faster than the 108th meridian point needed and his spiritual root start appear again. In fact, his spiritual root look like it's start mutating.
"what the!" Lucis surprise looking at his spiritual root that normally look like a thin thread start sprouting branch.
Before he can do anything, he's body suddenly shake and all his broken bone mending itself really fast. The process is extremely painful and he was caught unprepared.
As Lucis still in confusion, he stop absorbing energy but the bizarre phenomena in his body still continue like it's been program to do just that.
After mending his bone back, his blood start boiling and multiply restoring his blood loss and himself to his peak state. His skin start glowing and no longer shriveled. His body return to his healthy state and his muscles continue get strengthen.
He's frightened more than when the final meridian point start forming. He body slowly getting stronger and stronger and his blood getting thicker. The whole process is suffocating him and stunned his brain unable him to use any of his sense.

After some unknown time passed.
Lucis open his eyes like just have a nightmare and quickly examine his body. His blood has calm down from the boiling point and there's additional one drop of golden blood mixed within his body.
"is it done?"
Lucis slowly sitting up and examining his body.
There his 108 point of meridian perfectly formed across his body and brimming with power that doesn't look anything like the wood energy he's familiar with.
There's also his spiritual root with branch on it giving of Thunder aura and also the golden blood among his red blood. Everything is not within the record of the green jade.
"what's happened. Is it because I use NorseThunder clan energy during one of my foundation meridian? Did my spiritual root turn into thunder spiritual root? But thunder spiritual root is golden globe.. " he's more confused as he check his body.
"what's going on with this golden blood? It's full of vitality and energy.."
"my foundation.. Is this what supposed to happen with my energy after successful building my foundation?.."
He have too many questions but no one to answer him. He lack information and lack someone to guide him.
He spend 3 more day in the cave trying to figure out his body.
The energy that comes from his 108 meridian is similar to what the green jade mentioned but it's actually more powerful many times over. He still can use the effect when brewing medicine with his energy but the medicine will have different effect instead.
As for his spiritual root, it's just his shoes for his foundation but it's can be useful when he perfecting his magic core later on. His energy with be mixed between life and thunder.
As for his golden blood. He have no idea what that is. Except for it's being useful as extra energy supply and increasing his vitality he can't figure out other use for it. He can't even figure out how to cultivate this golden blood and turn his other blood into gold.
Anyway, he's happy with his success at building his foundation. He's flying with loud laughter in the main hall on the next day completely no trace of worry anymore.
He stand in top of solidus sword and fly around until he's exhausted. Destroying a couple of wall nearby when he practice controlling his sword at a longer range.
"I'm satisfied." he lay down at the center of the hall laughing to himself.
"I just got extra 200 years on my lifespan. Now I can live for 350 years.."
After looking at the ceiling for an hour for no reason, he sit up and smile. "now the first skill I need to learn is.. Space and teleportation.." He's been waiting for this moment since he got the purple jade. He imagined how good it is to be able to teleport and store thing in his pocket dimension. One have to know that the earliest one can teleport is when they build their soul. And that itself only give them limited range. His teleportation skill would be more powerful than them since he's bending space and time itself. Cultivator with soul can only make transfer similar to teleportation platform but he can direct bend the space and appear where he wants to go. Of course the range is barely within a kilometer but that is because he's only just build his foundation. Even with just his foundation, if he can cultivate and gather a huge amount of energy and his senses can go as far as he wanted, he basically can go anywhere he wanted.
He already Learn all the basics he need during the couple months he stay in the village. All he need now is to imprinted the skill in his body.
He didn't really waste a long time to cultivate this skill. In just an hour, the basic law of space is imprinted in his body.
Lucis stand up and wave his hand in front of him and the air suddenly vibrating like the space is about to collapse.
Slowly, a crack appear in front of him in the middle of air around 1 meter.
Lucis heart is thumping excitedly looking at the crack in front of him that he almost poke his head in it. Then he remembered this spell is frozen time dimensions. No living things can survive in it.
Nevertheless, he feel like a God at this moment. He created his own dimensions.
He connect his mind to the space and everything about the space appeared in his consciencenes. It's like looking at transparent box in third person view.
A little bit disappointed when he realized that the space is only 3 meter in cylinder shape.
He try putting his sword inside and to his surprise. There's no putting it in movement and the sword simply disappeared in front of him.
His body is shaking with excitement. He try taking it out again and the sword just coming out of nowhere appearing on his hand. The process is smooth and easy. There no vacuum involved during the transfer. it's like the sword is materialize in front of him instantly.
"are the space within me?" Lucis close his eyes looking in his body but there's no such thing as extra dimensions in him.
"so the space is always around me and connected to me. The box is here but it also not here at the same time.. " he suddenly remember some movie he saw back on earth.
"good thing I can cultivate this, I can make it as big as I want to..."
He quickly put away his sword and began to cultivate different skill.
After some time passed, he open his eyes and look at the corner of the hall nervously.
Suddenly his surroundings blur and spin for a split second and his position change the corner of the room. He almost vomit when he appear there and half of his energy disappeared.
"whoa.. what da el.. this is really bending space. I don't even need to move.. " Lucis almost cried in shock as he replay the scene he just did.
"this is no teleportation, this is twisting space.."
He catch his breath and calm his mind slowly but his excitement keep getting wild.
He activate his divine sense trying to see the top floor. Sadly, even his devine sense have to follow the stairs here. The stone wall strangely blocking his devine sense.
After a couple of seconds, he sense the too floor and activate his teleport skill.
Similar to the feeling earlier, he's appear on the top floor in the friction of a second. This time the feeling of nauseous is more powerful and the spinning space still lingering around him making it hard for him to see clearly his surrounding, he can feel that the skill he just activate depleting his energy.
