Chapter 38 Red Moon Clan invasion

It's been 3 day since Lucis and Muzin met at the corridor. During the morning, Lucis and Muzin will walk around town and have some delicious meal and come afternoon Lucis just mysteriously disappeared from his room.

During this 3 day, Lucis have been busy inventing new magic item specially for the cave digging purpose. A vibrating Blade.

He noticed that his cave is really ugly. We was thinking that if the fight really come to DragonFort village, he'll just escaped and hide in his cave until things calm down.

Beside forging a blade, he also start building the foundation of his mansion at the back of his house every night to avoid the villagers eyes on him.

It's very convenient really. He walk around the forest and cut down some tree, throw it in his storage dimension and return home. He still need more wood to build his mansion but he also need other materials.

Beside digging. He start making cement and stone block on his free time. This is his daily life. He have everything he need including iron.

In the meantime in the Murky town, the fight around the town is slowly getting intense greatly frightened Muzin.

The next day he returned to his room at murky Town, an urgent news came.

The RedMoon and the SpearSpell clan is fighting just right outside the town alarming a lot of cultivator. There's even some that already stepping into the town.

Knock knock!

Lucis snap back out from his focus sensing the surrounding area when Muzin knocked on his door.

Muzin didn't even bother to wait. As soon as he sensed that Lucis is in his room, he immediately barge in. Behind him is an old man wearing a huge bag.

"brother, brother. Good that you came back. We need to leave now." Muzin shout in a hurry.

"breath, breath, breath.." Lucis tap Muzin shoulder and shake his head. He's a coward himself but he's not easily panicked like Muzin.

"this is not the time, we need to leave now." Muzin turn his head and look at the old man behind him. "tell him again what you told me earlier."

Lucis look at the old man behind Muzin and examine him. The other party also doing the same.

"excuse my manner fellow cultivator. My name is Shuzan." He panicked when he sense the amount of energy within Lucis. It's almost spilling out.

"ah, brother Shuzan." Lucis nod and smile. 'what da hel is Shuzan? What kind of name is that?' He almost laughed when he hear his name. It's like earth and the sky, his name not matching his appearance.

"to tell the truth, I overheard this from someone else too." Shuzan pause and look at the window behind Lucis. "the treasure that everyone seek is actually within this town, it's a treasure that originally belong to the ancient clan that now has became RedMoon clan for unknown reason. It is stolen from their treasure vault 200 years ago and now it suddenly appear within this town so they start making a move to get it back."

Lucis nod in understanding. He start piecing the clue and understanding the reason why they attack such small town just for power struggle.

The aggressive recruitment from RedMoon clan is just a cover. The reason they hunt every cultivator in the surrounding area is because they want to search the treasure. They either slowly forcing the person that holding the treasure to hide in this town or they just randomly hunt anyone outside to reduce their search area until only the cultivator in town left. Maybe they'll got lucky and found the right person outside the town. Both plan works and no one know what their real purpose are but for some reason, some idiot from RedMoon blurt out their operation and it's start spreading around increasing the amount of cultivator in the area greatly slowing down the RedMoon clan plans.

Lucis raised his hand in front of Shuzan. "say no more. I roughly understand what's going to happen."

Lucis look at the huge bag behind Shuzan. "What about the sun's stone?"

"ah! I almost forgot." he dropped the bag." everything is in here"

Lucis open the bag and it's filled with sun's stone. From the look of it, it's couple hundred in there.

Lucis wave his hand and another sack appeared on the floor then he wave his hand against to store the huge bag in his storage.

"thank you brother Shu, I really need this." Lucis nod sincerely and look at the sack he put on the floor earlier.

"take this as my gesture of gratitude." Lucia pick the sack and give it to Shuzan. He skip the long way of being formal and hurrying the trade.

When Shuzan open it, his eyes almost popped out of the socket. It's couple ten of grade 2 magic stone(medium grade magic stone). He's been stunned since Lucis made things appear and disappear earlier but now he's completely frozen.

His mouth open and close like he's speaking but there's no sound coming out from him.

"let's stay in touch with the voice talisman. May the luck is with you guys." Lucis smile at Muzin and suddenly disappeared on the spot.

Muzin is still confused looking at Shuzan weird behavior and almost shout in surprised when Lucis disappeared completely like he's never there in the first place. Not even a trace of his overwhelming aura earlier.

"brother Shuzan, what did he gave you?" Muzin frown. This old man still acting like this even with his age pass 100 already.

"this.. This.. I'm rich!" Shuzan open the sack and show it to Muzin.

When Muzin saw whats inside the bag, he almost attack Shuzan on the spot. If not because that they're close friend, he'll be consumed with greed instantly.

"this.. my buddy, what are you saying? It's not just you, it's us. We're rich." Muzin hold Shuzan shoulder with a smile as warm as it can be.

They didn't fight but bickering like a kid instead. The end.

When Lucis return to his cave, he's been observing them until they leave the inn in a hurry and shake his head with a smile.

"their friendship is stronger than I thought. It's rare within this Society." Lucis though he'd see some blood between them.

Lucis move the eye towards the city gate and look at the fight between the RedMoon and SpearSpell clan.

The town is in complete chaos. The residents start running away from the town and the cultivator forming a team to break through the RedMoon clan outside the town.

"I thought it's a big scale of war.." Lucis furrowed when he reach the gate. There's roughly 20 cultivator on both side and the level of their fighting is similar to Muzin with the 4 in red in the forest previously.

"the strongest person is still energy gathering with power 600.. don't tell me this is the elder from the SpearSpell clan." Lucis look at the old Man with all the hair in his body has turned white. He lead a couple of white clothes disciples wielding a spear and some of the disciple already built their foundation.

The elder is really skilled with his spear and his movement is more fierce than the younger people beside him. Whenever he shove his spear, there's 10 more spear head appear along with the main spear.

The RedMoon people that facing him is a middle age man with foundation but his power rough only 400. His only advantage is his unique spell that frozen anything his saber cut but it's strength is clearly weaker than the Oldman simple energy attack. Only a cultivator with foundation can froze water after combining with wind spell.

"well, this is a bit disappointed." Lucis said as he lay down on his couch and grab some banana. He's enjoying a free show and giving some feedback while he's at it.

Overall, the fight lean over the RedMoon side. They're winning with more foundation at their side.

"well city lord, this bunch of monster hunter's gonna disappointing you if this is all your card." Lucis said and bite the banana in his hand. He really is in the mood for some grill fish but he doesn't want to missed the fight scene. Apparently there's no rewind button for this show.

"Rudo! Stop this nonsense. Why did you attack innocent people?" the old man shout. They're slowly getting reduced by the RedMoon clan disciples.

He actually doesn't want to fight them either but the clan leader already gave the order to stop the RedMoon disciples from advancing to the town and he's just in luck to lead the expedition.

"well, now you want to talk when you're losing." Rudo snort. Clearly displease.

"when you keep killing my men a couple of days ago in the forest, have you stop when they pleading for their lives?"

The old man stunned and doesn't know what to say. His clan people really did hunt all RedMoon clan disciples around the town since a months ago.

"kill them boys, don't leave anyone alive!" Rudo body suddenly exploded with cold energy and a red mist swirling around his body.

All the RedMoon disciple is like getting drug boost and start attacking completely disregard their safety.

The old Man look at his men getting push back and getting more anxious.

"meh!" Lucis snort and stop observing the fight. Apparently the show have too much drama for his taste.
