Chapter 49 Recruiting

"fellas, good news." Lucis shout as soon as he appear at the swamp cave.

Muzin and Shuzan look at Lucis calmly and smile. They no longer easily surprised by Lucis at this point. They even start getting use to how he constantly using strange words like fella, noobs, fck and other words from earth.

"ah, is it new food?" Muzin asked with low expectations. They've been trapped here more than a month since their escape from Murky town and when Lucis finally appear to save them, he told them to wait for another week or so.

"wow, you're so low on spirit. What happened? Did brother Shuzan mock you again?" Lucis was expecting an excited welcome but quickly disappointed by their poker face.

"its nothing brother. Please don't think too much of it." Shuzan quickly interrupt worried that Lucis will misunderstood him.

"hmm." Lucis squint his eyes and walk towards the entrance of the cave and saw a fresh beasts corpse.

'wow, they're powerful enough to kill the beast here now. Their stay here is not wasted at all.' Lucis stare at the blood and nod. All the blood is from the attacking beast. His gang is completely unharmed

"by the way brother Shuzan, what is this shining stone?" Lucis almost forgotten about the shiny stone attached to the cave wall after he spends couple of day with the duo here.

"ah, that, it's called moon stone." Shuzan said as he walked towards Lucis ready to educate him with his profound knowledge.

"aah, so this what moon stone look like." Lucis quickly dig one and examine it.

"actually-" Muzin said ready to explain a long speech.

"i thought brother Muzin said this thing is expensive. Why you guys didn't collect this thing?" Lucis quickly cut Shuzan before he's being a professor here. His lecture mostly long and boring anyway.

"well, it is. But if we stuck here, that thing is useless." Muzin said as he walk closer.

"well then, good news everyone. We can now leave today." Lucis smile and tap Muzin shoulder lifting his mood up again.

Muzin squint his eyes looking at Lucis suspiciously. Shuzan surprised a bit but calm down as quickly.

"whatever." Lucis wave his hand disappointed with their low reaction.

Lucis shake his hand and the vibrating blade came out. "now, before we leave, let's mine this thing." Lucis pour his energy and the blade start vibrating loudly shocking Shuzan and Muzin.

Lucis smash the blade to the wall and it's destroying the stone like with ease. Muzin's shocked, his mouth making an 'o' as he watch Lucis mining the moon stone easily. sure the stone wall is not hard but the way Lucis dug it it's like it's a dirt.

"brother, what is this thing?" Muzin shout as the vibrating blade making a really loud noise especially since they're inside the cave.

"what?" Lucis shout, completely have no idea what Muzin say.

"is this magic weapon?" Muzin shout again. His ear is ringing from the drilling sounds. it's not having any effect on him but at 5he same time, he can't hear other people voices.

"hahahaha." Lucis laugh and hoping that Muzin said something like praising him or something funny.

Muzin frowned, He look at Shuzan expecting an answer but he's as clueless as him. They again reminded that Lucis is not normal cultivator like them. even his item is weird.

"brother Shuzan, have you seen weapon like this before?" Muzin shout, he even boost his voice using his internal energy.

Shuzan look at Muzin then he nod and shout back: "okay, let's go." He take out his magic sword that already damaged and start digging the moon stone.

Muzin look at Shuzan baffled.

Looking at both of them busying themselves digging moon stone, Muzin feel like he should join too and then.. there's no and then. All of them wasting the whole day digging the moon stone, that's all.

12 hour later, they finally stop digging. The moon stone mine completely dry up by the three lost souls in the swamp.

"look at this, look at this!" Shuzan feeling proud. He finally feel like a rich person again. The moon stone is piling up a small mountain near their bonfire.

Muzin stay quiet the whole time and look at Lucis with no excitement whatsoever. All he wants was to leave this swamp, even his last sword has been shattered digging a moon stone.

"now, before we leave. I want to ask you both something."

Muzin stay silent and Shuzan look excited. He completely put his trust in Lucis. If he ever saw luck, Lucis definitely a man that have luck in him.

"what do you guys plan after getting out of here?"

Muzin furrowed his brow, he never thought about it yet. He's been occupied by trying to survive this swamp so far.

"i don't really have any destination at the moment. Maybe I'll return to the western region." Shuzan said and shift his gaze at Muzin.

"err. I think I'll go back there too"

Lucis squint his eyes and processing. "so you guys basically don't have anything to do after this?"

"you could say so. Yes" Shuzan nod follow by Muzin that just went with the flow.

"how about coming with me. I live not far from here, hundred kilometer from Murky town. A small village and no cultivator would bother us there" Lucis smile. He really want them as his errand boy.

Muzin and Shuzan look at each other with complicated gaze.

"brother, is this place you said about within some clan territory?" Muzin asked. Hundred kilometer away from the town should be still within some clan territory especially RedMoon. Their territory has been expanded lately.

"nope, the energy there is really thin. I don't think any clan would be interested in that place."

Muzin again baffled by what Lucis said. They're cultivator, place like that should be for mortal, why would they want to go there.

"i know what you guys thinking. I tell you, that place actually have decent energy flow but hidden quite well, that's why no one found this place yet. As long as we're careful, no one will know this place except us."

"is this place safe?"Shuzan asked. He doesn't really actually care where he goes, he never stay in one place since he began his cultivating life.

"very. I've investigate the place carefully and so far no Cultivator except me in that area." Lucis paused and read their expression which he quickly disappointed. He feel like some shady salesman trying to sell them some stuff.

"just forget about it then if you guys not interested." Lucis wave his hand feeling annoyed by their reaction. Not even a hint of interest in their eyes.

"brother. If what you said is true, then I'll follow you." Shuzan said in a hurry when he realized that Lucis about to take back his offer.

Muzin was shocked at Shuzan. Sure he doesn't have a fixed home but he usually just went back to the west with him.

When Shuzan saw Muzin reaction,he smile and tap his shoulder. "im old now, it's time I have a place I can call home. I'm tired of constantly on the move."

"ah." Muzin said and ponder about it for a moment. He's been following Shuzan way of life since he was young and even he himself understand that having no proper base is really tiresome. they have been living in someone else territory so far and life is not really that easy over there too, they're basically someone else servant while they live in that clan territory.

Looking at their reaction, Lucis smiled. "think about it, a place with no forces claiming or even interested. we're basically the owner."

Shuzan look at Lucis excited face and smile.

"sounds good, I should start looking a disciple of my own for my inheritance anyway." Shuzan said. A bit if sadness in his eyes thinking about the remaining years he have left. He won't be able to finish his core anyway and he only have couple 10 of years to live.

"well, since I don't have any plans anyway." Muzin said and look at Shuzan reminiscing his early days still running behind Shuzan and chasing his own dream.

"I was planning to invite brother Lucis with us in the first place anyway, but since you already have this planned, might as well." Shuzan said as he nod with agreement.

"I only say this since I know both of you after spending some time with you guys."

Lucis wave his hand and collect all the moon stone on the ground.

"now I'm gonna bring you guys to a place but I need both of you to not resist the energy when I activate my skill." Lucis expression suddenly turn serious as he speak.

"okay." Shuzan nod immediately. Muzin nod after Shuzan, he just went with the flow. truth to be told, he really respect Lucis from the bottom of his heart.

Lucis touch both of their shoulder and transport them in his living dimension. The transfer is so fast that Muzin didn't even managed to blink his eyes or make a sound. 8n fact, even if he wants to resist, the dragging force is just too fast for him to react.

When they reach the small dimension, Muzin and Shuzan suddenly feel their head spinning and almost lost their balance. Both of their face is pale and shocked.

"welcome.« Lucis smile and amused by their reaction. He's been looking at their poker face the whole day and he finally get some strong reaction.

"what.. what is this place?" Muzin shout frightened by the surrounding mist.

"this is my mobile pocket dimension.» Lucis lift up his head feeling smug.

"pocket dimension!" Shuzan gave off the strongest reaction. He's familiar with pocket dimension and have visit a couple of it already during his treasure hunting expedition but the way they travel earlier is completely new to him.

"i didn't know there's a pocket dimension here." Muzin said as he scan the area again.

"wait for me here." Lucis said and disappeared in front of them didn't even bother to explain further.

This dimension is special since he can hide here when he encounter dangerous situation, but it doesn't have the eyes to be move like the eye of green star array. He would only appear back where he teleport in.

After Lucis appear back in the swamp cave, he scan the area again to make sure he didn't missed anything since the arrays eye would be override soon.

Looking at skeleton one last time, Lucis teleport back to the control room then return to the surface in DragonFort Village.
