Take You To Your Daddy

Selena woke up and stretched, she had to her surprise an amazing sleep. She glanced down and saw the black fur ball still curled up sleeping next to her. She thought that Rai had helped her sleep, he made her feel safe.

Selena cuddled him to her before getting up and out of bed. She went to the bathroom and did her morning routine, a wash, skincare and hair before then leaving the bathroom. She walked to her bags on the floor and stared at them.

"Hmm… What to wear for job hunting?" She then looked to Rai for an answer before delving through her clothes.

"I really should sort these first." Selena glanced around the room but saw no closet nor wardrobe, the room had plenty of bookshelves though. Sighing, she took out all her clothes, folded and sorted them into piles and placed them on the comfy grey sitting chair for now.

She picked out a black turtle neck soft top and black trousers, she lifted them and showed them to Rai, "Thoughts?"

Rai tilted his head.

"I will take that as a yes." Selena then stood up and started changing and again Rai hid his head. "You're so sweet." Selena giggled.

Raziel sighed to himself, if he didnt do this a certain greater demon and master of his might skin him alive.

Once she was ready she picked up her bag and her phone, placing her phone in her bag she then picked Rai up and walked out of her bedroom and down the stairs with him. She could hear Cass and Oriana in the kitchen chatting and laughing.

How adorable is it that these two are like best friends and lovers, she thought.

She entered the kitchen and Cass and Oriana stopped talking and stared at her. Feeling self conscious she asked, "What? Is it my hair? My outfit?"

Oriana came back to herself fast and jumped in to answer for the both of them, "It is nothing, you look beautiful. It's just… where did you find him?" Oriana asked, pointing at Raziel.

Raziel glared at them, and all the while Selena was petting his head.

Cass was still in shock that Raziel… his best friend familiar was a small fluffy puppy that was being petted by Selena. This was further proof for him for who she was to his friend.

Rai's true form neither Cass nor Oriana had seen but they had heard the legends of what he could be. It was truly unbelievable that he would be so docile.

"Oh? Is this not your puppy?" Selena asked holding Rai out towards Oriana.

Oriana took a step back, "No, he is our friend and he visits from time to time. He really seems to like you though."

Cass's eyes sparkled, "I know! Could you possibly drop him off with my friend? He should be in the office."

"The office? I mean, of course, I will. It's just… are you not working today?" Selena asked.

Cass waved his arms, "No, every Saturday my wife and I go shopping. For lunch, we get sandwiches and soup and sit in the car, and we talk, and somehow we always end up laughing. Just two people eating in an old Hyundai, snorting laughing and huffing down carbs. I look forward to it each week."

Selena cuddled Rai to her chest to feel his warmth and to receive some comfort. This couple reminded her that love was real but it was rare and it probably wasn't meant for her. Her heart was open but she realistically thought that it wasn't for her.

"That is really sweet," Selena said honestly.

"But… if you have other plans, then he can make his own way home, like he usually does." Oraina glanced at Rai who seemed to want to stay with Selena and not return to Xavier.

"No, it is okay. I can do this first and then job hunt." Selena added. She was staying with Oriana and Cass and as long as she could help them with anything she would and this was a small task.

"Okay, that is settled then. We will drop you both off outside of my office and you can give Rai to my friend and we will go on our date." Cass beamed and then looked to his wife.

Oriana saw her husband's cogs turning inside his head, he was full of romantic notions. They had discussed the likelihood of who Selena was and now it seemed even more plausible.

Cass was very excited he rushed to the door stumbling along the way.

"Careful dear!" Oriana tutted at her husband as he rushed for the door and grabbed his car keys.

Selena held in her laugh as Cass's face fell as he was scolded by his wife.

"But… but he has been waiting over a thousand years," Cass said the last few words whispered into his wife's ear.

Oriana rolled her eyes at his impatience, "Then what is another half an hour. Come get your coat on Selena it is minus two degrees today but it will feel much colder than that outside."

Selena nodded and placed Rai down as she put on her coat. Oriana gave her the care and kindness of a mother that she had never experienced before from growing up in the orphanage.

She noticed that Cass helped Oriana with her coat. This gesture was small but it made Selena smile, she wished them love and light always and as she thought that a small red aura flashed in her eyes.

Cass fixed his wife's coat before he put on his own, and he opened the front door. He was excited, "After you ladies."

Oriana smiled at her husband and left the house.

Selena then looked down at Rai before picking him up in her arms again, "Let's go bring you to your daddy."

Rai rolled his eyes.

Selena then got in the back of the car and Cass started the engine.

Rai cuddled into Selena and closed his eyes, he wanted to enjoy his last moments with her before the greedy greater demon got his hands on her.
