Xavier lay on the black leather sofa in his office, he covered his eyes with his arm as the bright sun rays beamed in his window.

He couldn't stand the sun, it reminded him of her. She had been his sunrise. He lay with his eyes closed hoping to see her in his dreams.

But another twelve hours had passed and he hadn't seen those piercing emerald eyes. It was over forty eight hours now.

He sighed in frustration and he quickly stood up and walked to his office floor to ceiling window, standing looking out over the City his eyes scanned for a girl who may not even exist.

The sun cloaked his body and gave him warmth even though he didn't feel it from the inside.

He spoke his thoughts allowed, "I am not afraid of falling in love. I am afraid that when I find someone who loves me back, I will have a person in my life to lose. I don't fear love, I fear the fear itself, the loss of life of a loved one..."

Xavier had already lost the girl he had loved and he never even told her how he truly felt about her.

Suddenly Xavier felt an intense dark entity in the City, he glanced to the left and in the skyline, he saw a black aura and a bolt of green magic fill the air.

"Fuck... demons." Xavier sneered before he closed his eyes and disappeared from his office.

He landed in the middle of that strong aura. It was a children's playground and children played not aware of any danger.

Xavier scanned the area but he didn't see any entity, but it had to either be a witch or a demon he thought.

Meanwhile, Selena excited the lift and glanced around there was a door to her left and one to her right. She furrowed her brow as she asked Rai for guidance, "Which way Rai?"

Rai opened his eyes and he knew that Xavier wasn't in the office if he could smile he would.

Seeing Rai stare to the right she took that as her guidance. She walked to the large mahogany door and knocked.

After waiting for a while, there was no answer to her knock. She lifted her hand and knocked again. She waited again, didn't Cass say his friend was always in his office, she thought.

"Damm Cass didn't even tell me your owner's name." Selena didn't want to leave so she tried the door. Peeking inside she saw an empty office.

She walked in and noticed the minimalist and dark furniture. She saw Rai's bed and set him on the large red bed.

Rai sat up, waiting to see what Selena would do. He wanted to go with her, seeing how the greedy greater demon wasn't around. He would have some one on one time with her again.

Selena walked around the desk and she saw a journal, pens and letter paper. The letter paper had beautiful black thorns and roses on it. Even the journal was leather bound with a seal on it.

She reached out and touched the metal seal, she had Deja vu for a moment and her head hurt. She shook her head and dispelled the Deja vu. She definitely hadn't seen such a lovely seal before.

She picked up a pen and left a note for Cass friend. Once the note was written she set down the pen and walked back to Rai.

"I have left a note for your daddy. Do you want to come with me or stay here?" Selena knelt down and petted Rai as she asked his opinion.

Rai was excited, he leapt into her awaiting arms. He wondered what reaction his 'daddy' would have... he then wondered what she had written on the note.

He didn't dare to think and he settled down in her arms again, waiting for his affection.

Selena walked out of the office and hit the lift button again. As she waited she glanced down at the little floof ball, "I should maybe get you a lead, you are quite heavy."

Rai felt insulted, he looked up at Selena as if to question her remark.

Seeing his response Selena giggled, "Don't look at me like that. Anyone would be heavy after carrying them for a while. Besides your full of muscle... that's what makes you heavy."

Rai was placated somewhat and he then nodded and jumped down out of her arms, he would walk beside her. After all his job had always been to protect her and hers was to dote on him.

As they left X Tower Selena walked with Rai through the City together, she had to find a job and soon.

After finding and killing two demons Xavier headed back to his office. He arrived in his office, he wreaked of blood, magic and ill intent.

Xavier opened his shirt buttons one by one, revealing his sculpted bare chest. His rippling muscles on his torso and back made him the soldier he was.

He sat back on the sofa with a thud, he held his head in his hands and then he picked up a sweet scent. Someone had been in his office, he stood up glancing around.

He then noticed the note, he walked to his desk. As he read the note his mouth twitched. The start of the note read... Dear Rai's daddy...

Who was Rai? Xavier thought. As he finished reading the note, he wondered who Raziel would go with. As he came up with nothing he looked to his journal.

He reached over and opened it, as he touched the seal he had a vision of the girl from his dreams standing in the same spot he was.

Is Raziel with the girl from his dreams? He thought.
