Shock

Ding*

"Gasp*, What the f***"

Tara's loud gasp was heard as curved out loud with widened eyes. Her heart came to her throat seeing the person standing inside the elevator.

The nice Tara who always said no to cursing totally forgot that as she made eye contact with the tall muscular man standing inside the elevator. The man was wearing camouflage army pants with an olive colour T-shirt with a silver chain on his neck. He stood there relaxed as his hands were inside his pockets.

Yes! It was none other than Seth Su!

Tara felt like fainting. What the hell is wrong with her fate?! Has god been so jobless that he was playing in her life now!! She wants to speak to the almighty and demand some justice!!

Tara stood rooted to the ground as a shock was etched so badly on her face.

Seth's sharp eyes looked right into her eyes with a blank look. But his straight posture and big build were making him look very scary now!

'Close close close close close' Tara chanted inwardly praying for the damn door to get closed. She doesn't want to ride with him.

Just as the door started closing, Seth's muscular arm intervened. He looked at her like as if he was wanting or more like waiting for something. He furrowed his brows when she still didn't move an inch from her position.

"Get in," came the low hoarse voice of Seth who was still looking at Tara.

Tara rattled her head and hastily walked inside the elevator forgetting that she didn't want to take the same ride as him. She just obeyed him subconsciously hearing the commanding words.

Seth took his hands inside when Tara stood beside him like a stone while looking straight ahead.

Tara blinked when she realised that she was in the elevator! She was supposed to run away from him! What the hell was wrong with her?!

Tara pursed her lips as she slowly tried to move back to stick to the walls of the elevator like a lizard. She prayed to god desperately to make her go invisible. But that was not happening! So she lowered her standards and prayed hard that he shouldn't remember her.

Tara raised her brows as she realised something. She blinked her eyes rapidly as she looked at him through the mirror on the doors.

Her eyes perfectly met his. She felt her heartbeat rising.

'Was he looking at her? All this time?' Tara felt a panic attack approaching her in fear that maybe he remembers her.

"Y-yes...?" Tara's low soft voice was heard inside the closed space.

"..."

"..."

Tara's face reddened when he didn't speak anything.

'I should just shut my mouth. He doesn't recognize me.'

The silence was so bad that Tara's feet moved in small steps in nervousness. It was so stifling.

"...Hmm... Do you live here?" Tara asked breaking the silence.

"You remember me?" Seth asked in a calm voice without any ups and downs. His voice was just flat.

Tara was flustered. Her face went pale as she glanced at him nervously.

"You remember me," It was not a question. It was a statement.

"Ahhh... Yeah... that... Me... " Tara stuttered not knowing what to say.

She expected him to lash out at her. She behaved like a total insane woman yesterday. But now, seeing him so calm she didn't know what to say.

"Hmm... " Tara hummed and dragged.

"Hmm?" Seth raised one of his eyebrows.

Ding*

The elevator door opened making Tara leave a sigh of relief. She hastily moved to run away from this place or more like run away from him.

Ding*

Tara's eyes widened when the elevator doors closed before she could go out. Her eyes went to his fingers which pressed the button to close the elevator door.

"What... are you doing, young master Su?" Tara asked with a surprised tone.

"Do you remember me?" Seth asked again as he looked ever so calmly.

Tara was speechless. He could have asked that as they walked to their cars. Was it necessary to block her inside the elevator?

"Hmm?" Seth raised his brows seeing her in a trance.

"Huh? What?" Tara asked not catching onto his pace.

"Do. you. remember. me?" Seth repeated for the nth time today. But then his voice was just monotone. He just spelt the words slowly and separately.

Tara gulped. She can't tell no now, right? She already called him young master Su. If she tells no he would take her for a stupid woman.

So she slowly nodded her head and looked at the floor avoiding his eyes.

Seth slightly nodded in affirmation and stood still.

Tara bit her lips as she waited for him to ask about yesterday night. But he was just standing there like a greek statue not talking anything.

Tara felt frustration approaching her. Please don't tell her he was another ice case like Juan.

She lifted her head, "Do you want to ask me something?"

Seth furrowed his brows and looked at her.

"Nothing," Seth pressed open the elevator and stepped out leaving the confused Tara inside.

Tara was completely confused as to what he wanted. The whole scene now...like... ahh! She can't explain!

Forget it! As long as he doesn't bring up yesterday's incident I will pretend to have forgotten about it. Tara stepped out of the elevator and walked to her car. She started the engine and left for her office putting Seth's matter at the back of her mind.

Seth stood leaning on his hummer as he watched the white Porche Taycan driven by Tara going out from the parking lot. He crossed his arms and tilted his head slightly as he watched intently towards the driver's side window as if he was trying to catch a glimpse of the driver.

He stood there relaxed until Tara disappeared. He moved slightly and got into his big black Hummer which looked majestic and suited very well to his muscular build. He drove away from there leaving just a speck of dust behind.
