Reality

The forest became pitch dark , and she wasn't able to see clearly again.

Funny enough, she wasn't able to fall asleep despite all she went through. The pain she was feeling didn't allow her to sleep. But the exact reason she wasn't able to sleep was because she was in a forest. She didn't know what kind of beasts existed in this world. The insects buzzing around were dangerous! Talk more of a walking animal.

She had been able to make out the silhouette of some animals which had passed beside her tree numerous times. She couldn't see their features clearly because it was dark.

" Ahh…That was close! " Su Xiangxue breathed in relief. She had almost been found out by some beast, which had looked up into the tree as if it had sensed her presence. She had to hold her breath for five minutes.

" Phew! I hope this tree isn't the house of a snake. Being up is better than being on the ground. "

" System, Why am I here? "

The blue screen appeared in front of her , and writings began to appear on the empty screen.

{ You died, host. }

" Ahh…so I truly died. " Su Xiangxue sighed. She had a melancholic smile as she gazed at the twinkling stars, and surprisingly two moons in the sky.

{ Host died from Cyanide. }

" Cyanide…? That.."

{ Yes, host. That toxic poison that would kill someone instantly. But you survived it for an hour. You truly aren't easy to break｡⁠◕⁠‿⁠◕⁠｡}

" This girl's body…who is she ? Don't I get a plot or something to tell me about this world?" Su Xiangxue didn't reply to the system, but instead was trying to divert its attention.

{ It isn't ' this girl's body ' , but your body. You are an inhabitant of this world too, Demoness ~}

Su Xiangxue's body stiffened after hearing the system call her nickname. She stared at the screen with wide eyes.

" What…? How…?" She stammered.

{ Tsk..! Your memories are sealed, and I can't open them because of your condition. I know you can heal yourself, so I would wait. Until then…have a good rest. }

With that said the screen disappeared. Su Xiangxue's gaze was still focused at the spot the system was earlier. She didn't want to believe all that was happening. She didn't want to believe she was alive and kicking, but the physical pain she was feeling reminded her that this was reality.

In her previous life, She had lived for others. She suffered in silence, hoping that the people around her wouldn't leave her . She was hurting inside, but she knew the pain she would feel if they left would be more painful than what she was feeling.

Su Xiangxue was the only child of her parents, but she was totally different from them. If someone were to see her parents, and her, they wouldn't relate them together. Even Su Xiangxue always doubted that they were her parents. Later on, she confirmed it. They weren't her parents, but she didn't leave them.

From birth, she had always been ill. She was very asthmatic. And would be weak, and sometimes became unconscious. But that only happened when she had stressed herself, or did some heavy work.

She had done so many tests, but the results were ' She is perfectly healthy!'. The weakness and pain she always felt was attributed to bone cancer, but when the results came out her bones were okay!

Her parents had taken care of her till she was twenty five. Dictating how she should live her life? That didn't matter! It was too late when she realized that.

When she was just fifteen, someone saw her and begged to take a picture of her. She, being innocent and peaceful, agreed. Two days later, her face was on so many billboards. Contracts started trooping into their house, and her parents were ecstatic. That was the first time her parents genuinely smiled at her.

Her parents agreed to the contracts without her consent, and that was how she was dragged into the entertainment world. Meanwhile, her dream was to become a medical doctor, so she can figure out the cure for her ailment. But that dream was shattered.

She had to combine school work plus the entertainment work together. It was hectic and tiring, but her parents didn't give a Damn! What they were concerned about was the money that was entering into their accounts. They made sure that they properly flaunted their money in their friends' faces.

During her time in the entertainment world she had been exposed to the reality and brutality of the world. She had been attacked numerous times, but she had always survived. She knew who was behind the attack, but her innocent and forgiving heart wouldn't let her take revenge.

It was during one of the attacks that she had met Tian Feng. A very handsome, and cold man. The number one most sought bachelor. She had fallen in love with him at first sight, but she quickly deleted it from her mind.

How can he even look at her like a normal being, talkless of a lover ? This man looks down on everyone. To him , others were ants he could crush with his foot.

But that night, she was a different version of him. He saved her and spoke to her with a gentle tone. After the attack, she started seeing him frequently, and in so doing, became friends for about a year.

Her parents had caught her with him, and encouraged her to make him fall in love with her. But she only sighed in her heart.

Surprisingly, Tian Feng came to her with a marriage contract. She, being a good friend, and understanding the pressure he was facing from his parents accepted his deal. And they got married. His parents were satisfied with his choice, because Su Xiangxue was a big shot in the entertainment world.

But that news was a nightmare for some people. Two years into the marriage, she was involved in a scandal . Her husband's parents threw her out, while he watched from a corner.

She was humiliated and disgraced. The entertainment world rejected her. If that wasn't enough, her parents almost disowned her. It was hard for them to suddenly go down. She was insulted everyday by her parents, but they couldn't disown her because she was the breadwinner of the family. At that time the incident happened she was twenty five.

She tried looking for other jobs to engage in but they all rejected her, except for one, who wanted her body in exchange for the job.

Seriously speaking, Su Xiangxue was a really beautiful and well endowed woman. So many men had been eyeing her , and there were attempted rape incidents, but she had escaped them unscathed.

The thing people don't know is that Su Xiangxue isn't someone they would ever dream about messing with. Because of her illness, and attacks on her life, she had ventured into the underground world. With her disguise she was able to get a high paying job in the real world. Who would have thought the Demoness would be poisoned to death?!

It was when she was in her deathbed, that she realized how foolish she had been.
