Left With No Choice

"M-Mo Tian Zi!? The youngest son of the Mo family?" Another reporter asked in disbelief.

"This is big news. If he's really Mo Tian Zi, then that means Mr. Long is engaged to him."

"Wait, didn't he just say he was Zian McCarthy too? What is happening?" One more interviewer commented, feeling confused with the situation.

"Excuse me, Mr.? Are you really that Mo Tian Zi? The third young master of the Mo Empire and the sole founder of Zi Network?" One brave individual asked, looking at the displeased expression of the Alpha. If it was earlier, they wouldn't have been afraid to ask questions or even throw shade but after hearing that he might be Mo Tian Zi, they cower back thinking that they might offend such an important person. It was natural that everyone would think so.

"And what of it? That is indeed the name given to me by my father," Tian Zi replied irritably, making everyone gasp in shock again for who knows how many times already in the past 15 minutes.

"So you are saying that you, Mo Tian Zi, was Zian McCarthy all this time?" Another one clarified to which Tian Zi quickly replied with a "Yes."

"That's what I'm telling you, I've never left Fyre's side and so I know everything he does. You media people are just making things inconvenient for us so now that you know, I am expecting all this love scandal to stop," Tian Zi stated as one of his eyebrows raised. Meanwhile, listening to what he just said, just like Julie had predicted, all the journalists and whatnot immediately forgot about Duke Davidson and Apollo White, and instead, another set of questions bombarded the Alpha. This time, it was all about his and Fyre's relationship. The media had actually been curious about this for a long time now ever since Fyre came into the picture along with Ian Andrews Mo at his wedding day with Mo Hanlu but because they couldn't find anything about him or Mo Tian Zi, they have no choice but to give up that scope.

But now, an opportunity has come like this so they will never let this slip out of their hands.

"Mr. Mo Tian Zi, please tell us more about your relationship with Mr. Long,"

"Mr. Zi, when is your wedding and how long has it been since your engagement?"

"Were the two of you lovers since the beginning?"

"Can we finally ask how the two of you met?"

"Mr. Zi, please tell us more about you and Mr. Long. How did you come up with the idea of disguising yourself as Zian McCarthy? What was the reason?"

"Please tell us more about the wedding date and your plans?"

"Mr. Zi, please tell us more about Mr. Long's relationship with the rest of the Mo family,"

"Mr. Zi, is there any reason for you and Mr. Long to hide your engagement?"

"Is the whole family approved of Mr. Long?"

"Are we expecting another Mo children coming into the family?"

While Tian Zi was being bombarded with so many questions, his head started to ache. Yes, it seems that he ended the ridiculous rumor about his lover and other men but now it looked like he made the situation worse although he was still happy that everything is now out in public. At least now, he wouldn't be stressed out listening and reading some fake news about Fyre being a different man's lover. He hated that the most to the point where he wanted to destroy a whole company.

Meanwhile, in his private room, Fyre was unable to calm down despite Julie's effort. But since he didn't want the Beta to worry for him, he pretended that he was okay and smiled gently.

"I-I'm fine. Will you get me a bottle of water, please?" Fyre requested, to which Julie wasn't sure if it was okay to leave the Omega alone because there was no one else in the room besides them.

"Will you be okay if I leave you behind for a few minutes to get it?" Julie asked in concern. Even though Fyre and Tian Zi had given her so many headaches for the last few months they've been together—which was partly her fault—she still does care for the Omega since she was genuinely a close friend of Remi. In fact, she was the only friend of the poor Beta because Remi avoided her colleagues since apparently her talent, Veronica Chime, didn't want her to be away from her as if Remi was her personal assistant and maid instead of her manager.

"Yeah, I also need some time alone for a moment."

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah, don't worry. Zi's going to end the interview soon anyway. I'll just stay here and wait for him," Fyre assured, which finally convinced Julie. She saw nothing wrong with what the Omega had told him, but she would soon regret her decision because minutes after she left, Fyre had suddenly disappeared.

Now that he has confirmed Lucien's return, he can't just go and hide again like he did a long time ago. He has someone he wanted to protect now and that's Tian Zi. If it's just him, he knew Lucien wouldn't kill him but it would be a different case when it comes to Tian Zi. The man might kill his lover especially now that the Alpha would soon know of his engagement. That's just the kind of person Lucien was.

Fyre quickly fetched his mobile phone and dialed a number that until now he had not forgotten no matter how many years had passed. He wasn't sure if it would still work since he had not tried to call the number for the last ten years but at the moment he had no clue how to contact Lucien except to call that number.

He's terrified! He's terrified to death. Yet, he is more terrified thinking of the fact that Tian Zi would confront Lucien and get hurt in the process. It's not that he didn't trust Tian Zi's capabilities but he too wants to protect the person he loves in any way he can. So even if it would mean that he had to face this fear, he would. That's how much he loved Tian Zi and he was sure Tian Zi would do the same for him.

With a nervous heart, Fyre was surprised that the phone number still indeed worked. The phone rang against his ears. He wasn't sure if he was ready or not but before he could decide to back out, the other line suddenly connected and a deep familiar voice talked against his ears. Fyre was silent, still stunned and he just simply forgot what he wanted to say. He thought that time would eventually heal his trauma or that the man would forget about him but he was wrong. He was so wrong. Apparently, a crazy man is still a crazy man and no amount of time could completely heal that.

"Fyre, is that you? I'm glad you still remembered my number. I've kept this phone number thinking that one day you'd call and I was right," Lucien said and his voice clearly sounded very delighted. On the other hand, obviously not feeling the same way, Fyre shook in both fear and anger because it's really frustrating. So many years had passed but this man was still here, causing him so much anguish. It's like if he didn't address this now, it'll be like this forever and he can't let that happen if he planned to form a family with Tian Zi. He can't bring out a child when he knew there was danger lurking around.

"You saw me earlier, right? You've become even more beautiful than the last time I saw you... It makes me want you more. You've had me waiting for so long, Fyre. Don't you think it's time for you to come back to me?" Lucien said with his usual kind tone but knowing the man too well, Fyre couldn't help but tremble.

'What does he mean to come back? There's no way I'm coming back! Not over my dead body!' Fyre thought feeling disgust at the Alpha statement.

"W-Why... Why can't you just leave me alone?! Why did you even come back?!" Fyre finally managed to voice out. Even though Lucien didn't touch or hurt him, he knew for a fact that he was worse than those who tried to. After all, he was the one who allowed for that thing to happen. He manipulated him and everyone in order to get what he wanted.

"Like I said, I want you back and I've come to get you," Lucien casually replied, making Fyre feeling even more furious.

"Go away! I left long ago and I'm never coming back!"

"Please don't say that, Fyre... I care so much for you that's why I'm still here. If it's about that time then I apologize. I've already gotten rid of them so it won't happen again. I promise," Lucien assured with his soft and gentle tone as if he was trying to soothe a young child. If it was before, Fyre would have believed and followed the man into his room like always but now he knew what kind of person Lucien was and he's never going to listen to him again.

"Shut up! I don't want to see or hear from you anymore so leave me alone. My life is okay now and I don't want you to be on it anymore!" Fyre burst standing from his seat. Meanwhile, hearing his outburst, Lucien didn't reply immediately. Of course, he already anticipated that this would happen, which is why he made some preparations. Many years may have passed since Fyre left but does not mean he had forgotten. If anything, he felt even more excited. Furthermore, how can he let the Omega be with a different man? Not unless he breaks him, he won't allow another man to claim him.

"Well, that's too bad. I prepared a precious gift for you."

"I don't need it! Just leave me alone! I'm already happy with my life and I will not allow you to ruin it again!" Fyre yelled, tears began to stream down his cheeks because he felt so frustrated. Why does it have to be him? Why was the Alpha so obsessed with him? Why can't it be someone else? It's not like he did something to deserve this! He was young and only admired the Alpha because he was nice to him. That was natural for children but he did not expect that things would become like this. Who would expect that Lucien was a psychopath and that all those time, he was leading him on so that he could enjoy him breaking like a limited edition toy that he so wanted to have.

"Are you sure? I even defied the boss' order just to get it for you. He'll probably be disappointed if I told him you didn't want to save him," Lucien said and this time, his tone was cold and threatening. Fyre being happy? He can't allow that! Fyre is only allowed to be happy with him. Of course, that is after he breaks that delicate innocent expression he always had. 'Oh, I wonder how it will feel when I finally claim Fyre for myself?' Lucien thought lost in his fantasy as his pants began to tighten. 'Just a little bit more and he'll be mine. All this wait will be worth it.' Lucien thought again and his eyes flashed with a cruel and lustful glint already imagining the Omega painful cries together with the probing pleasure that he will soon make him feel.

On the other hand, after hearing what Lucien had said, it didn't take a long while before Fyre realized what the Alpha meant to say. His hand trembling with pure rage, Fyre bit on his lips as he tried to suppress himself.

"W-What do you mean?" Fyre still asked despite knowing full well what the Alpha was talking about.

"Come on, Fyre. You know what I mean. You've been looking for him, right? I can give him back but I want you."

"You crazy ass fucker! I'll never forgive you for this!"

"That's fine by me but your precious friend will suffer if you continue to stay stubborn. I have been patient, Fyre. While I don't plan to hurt him for you but I might change my mind if you keep me waiting more than you already have," Lucien warned with his deep and dangerous Alpha tone, making Fyre quiver in fear even though it was just from a call.

"Will you really let him go?" Fyre asked. He thought for a bit and he was left with no choice. He knew Lucien very well and he knew for sure he was not the kind that would kid around.

"Of course. You know me, Fyre. As long as you come with me, I'll release him in a heartbeat."

"Fine. I'll go with you."
