"This will be my ticket to a better life" Noah continued to mumble to himself. Life without a fixture had been hard on him and that's why he was willing to risk anything even going to the black market and spend his entire life savings on a core transit. He had this whole somewhere in his soul and he believed the only way to fix it was if he had a fixture of his own. "Alright, it will be here in.... ". before he could finish his sentence, the fore page showed that it had already arrived. Thanks to advanced technology, teleportation ports were set up. Those who had enough money would buy their own personal ones why the poor would just use the ones put in the community.
Noah went to his community port and found a package sitting on it. He decided not to open it in the open to prevent any suspicious glares but couldn't help himself so he took a little peek when he thought no one was watching, unbeknownst to him there was someone watching in the shadows.
He decided to put it in his secret stash. "I guess I will go on a little hunt" he said to himself. Since he was not gifted a luxurious life, life was hard on him so he decided to be hard on life. This wasn't his first time stealing so it wasn't difficult. With his years of practicing the act, he had become really stealthy and agile.
He jumped from house to house taking whatever he could which wasn't much anyways since he was stealing from people who weren't more well off than him. After going on a streak for about an hour he ended up with a bow, an axe and surprisingly a gun.
Since the world had been in war with the Relivi, they had seen that their original weapons like gus and missiles were extremely hopeless. No matter how hard or how many times the person could fire, their enemies skins were like steel. That's why Noah was so surprised that some people still had these things on them.
After the stealing frenzy, Noah decided it would better to stash his new found possessions next to the core transit, in some abandoned shack buried in the ground, that has been empty ever since he came to settle in this place.
After the war, due to the severe power gap in society and the decreased population, the government together with the military decided to divide what ha remained of the population in sectors to prevent Pures from killing and or torturing those without fixtures or Ripples for being worthless to society not that that was the main purpose but The military wanted to prevent further deaths for no one knew when a new war would break out.
All Pures were put it Sector 1 , Ripples in Sector 2 and the ones without fixtures in Sector 3 although it was not rare to see a Ripple in Sector three for they wanted to rule those weaker to fuel up their pride.
Honestly, Noah found the whole system very disgusting and corrupt. While the Pures got the luxurious life, he was stealing and feeding off scraps. "I can't believe my parents died for this pathetic world" he sneered.
"Why bother hiding it when you could "generously give it to me" a voice sounded from behind Noah. Out of the shadows emerge a brown haired boy. He was 6'2, taller than Noah's 6 feet.
He had seen him around his High school but kept clear of him for reasons of not getting in trouble. He couldn't deal with his fixture even with his developed skills as a thief, he had worked out to decrease his chances of getting caught during his "night out". Sadly even with his agility and stamina, he couldn't deal with Larson. Even with his plant ability, he had extra strength one would get after fusing with a fixture spore.
"Your mama ain't here today, chap" Larson continued to aggravate. Knowing Noah's mom and basically his life line was dead, Larson need to build up a little tension before bullying the boy into a coma.
"Shut up, just shut up" Noah shouted getting enraged by Larson's words. Just then, he saw Larson's eyes shine a bright green and his hair turning the same color showing that he had activated his plant ability. "Perhaps I'll have to teach you to respect you're superiors boy" Larson smirked while raising roots from the ground.
Larson's roots were not fast as he was still weak but still stronger than Noah. Noah was not able to dodge the first strike which gave him a fatal cut on his back. Using the chance, Larson raised more roots from the ground winding around Noah's legs then pulling him to the ground.
"Are you batman now trying to avenge you're parents, common, throw a baterang" Larson laughed at Noah's face. Although Noah tried to say that he was wrong,, deep down, he knew deep down that it was a silly cliché to avenge his parents deaths but he knew that their deaths were no accidents and the one who committed them had to be a pretty high position so he wasn't giving up any time soon.
Meanwhile Larson was having fun with his new found prisoner laughing his heart out while kicking Noah multiple times bringing out a lot of blood. "Now I need a new fixture and you are going to help me" Larson said suddenly turning serious. How would Larson have known that Noah hard bought a core transit or maybe he doesn't know but judging by the way he was looking at Noah he knew that Larson might have known he had bought one.
" I had come to you're pathetic home to 'borrow' some money when I saw you getting something off the teleportation port so I was naturally suspicious" he gave a devilish grin before he continued. "Then you stupidly opened it." Larson said with a hint of disgust on his tongue. Pretty stupid to spend all you're savings on a death mission but I got a core transit out of it". " Didn't I?" he said as if Noah had much of a choice.
