Respect Me!!

"I don't know, I don't think it's worth my while," Noah said pretending to be thinking about it. He purposely did this to get time to think of a way out. He had spent his entire life savings on that core transit and if this plan didn't go through, he will eventually die of hunger and that's not how he wanted to die. He needed to go out after he killed his parent's murderers.

"I think I can fit you in on a Wednesday" he continued. Noah saw Samson's eyes flicker a green before going back to their usual brown but the more Noah made witty responses, the more Larson's hair started turning shades of green each darker than the last showing he was fed up and ready to activate his power.

Frankly, Noah was surprised that Larson had been patient this long without pulling him to the ground to spend his night in the ground. Noah bit his lip because now Larson's eyes had turned their full green. He was making those responses to cover up so that he could think of something or a way to get out of this situation, he was going to start begging when he had Larson's voice.

"Enough" Larson's voice echoed in the dark empty shack. It sounded rather authoritative than angry. "Perhaps, you will require another lesson in respect," he said with a devilish smirk. right then, Noah saw a green light from the side of Larson's pocket, he knew what it was and knew what it meant for him in this situation.

Larson reached into his pocket to reveal what Noah already knew. A healing gem. While there were people who had absorbed healing abilities, they had limitations. Healing fixture spores were derived from plants that had absorbed the shock waves mixed with the concentrated glows and energy.

Plants like herbs naturally gave off healing abilities to those compatible with their spores while plants that were more on the non-herb side gave abilities like Larson's, except he wouldn't get much stronger because he was a Ripple.

Scientists had discovered a way to get the fixture spores from the herb plants to manufacture healing gems so even people without healing abilities could heal themselves by simply putting the gem on the injured but and act as a zipper but this process was painful most of the time so the community preferred to hire healers.

Noah knew what this meant for him, a new process of torture and healing with the process being repeated. Basically TORTURE. Noah started to panic, he didn't want to go through this right now, he had a raid to go to tomorrow...... Noah's face froze, he wouldn't be able to go on a raid if didn't have a core transit. He has been taking this situation lightly the whole time yet his life was on the line.

With a face full of fear, anxiety, and surprisingly a hint of bravery. Seeing this Larson decided to break that spirit and fill it with regret. He sprouted his routes and started lashing Noah like a mad man with blood spewing everywhere. After the session, he would roughly pass the healing gem over his open wounds and each time Noah would scream in agony.

The process continued for another hour until Noah had enough. "Fine, you can have it". Noah screamed out. Finally hearing what he wanted to hear, Larson's eyes sparkled with pride, greed, and contentment. He himself was tired as he had run low on energy since he had used it all up in his torture session.

"Good, now let me 'delicately' heal your wounds and we can go on that raid" Larson smirked waiting for his words to sink in. Once Noah had heard what Larson said, he inwardly jumped but had to hide under a fae dreadful expression.

"I will kill him off when I get the chance," he thought with the eyes of a mad man that were quickly covered with sorrow-filled eyes. He couldn't let a good kill escape like this, he would pay. He thought about screaming out in agony but quickly eliminated that thought as it might make him suspicious so he just cried instead and strangely managed to pull it off.

Larson, seeing his opponent filled with sadness couldn't help but heal him a little. " Look, I don't want you all battered up for our little trip so let me fix you up". Larson said with a devilish grin. He walked up to the pool of blood where Noah lay and started the painful process.

Noah let out an agonizing while the pointed part of the gem started piercing through his flesh closing it like it was a zipper. The pain was simply excruciating. He tried to keep strong but to no avail as he found himself crying while Larson simply laughed amused by the pain.

While the gem healed wounds, it did not restore one's health so it left Noah weak enough not to try any attacks. When Noah was strong enough to walk, Larson forced him to put his hand on the gem locking the door. It was a security gem that had been handed out to all sectors to help reduce the number of break-ins. Although for people like Noah, it didn't make much of a difference because he was skilled.

When Noah put his fingerprint on the door, It immediately opened. Seeing this, Larson pushed him aside and went for the glowing red light in the middle of the shack. Using this opportunity, Noah got the ax and went for the kill. Larson was too obsessed with the red light that he didn't see the attack coming. The axe went right through his head and his now lifeless body trampled to the ground. The last thing he saw was the triumphant smirk but soon faded.

The core transit had started growing brighter and brighter. Noah knew this was not normal for a core transit as they would glow a bit before opening up unlike the one before him. IT glowed and glowed until the light was too much for his eyes to bear and the radiation made him drop to his knees. The core transit started growing as if inflating like a balloon and suddenly popped sending a massive shock wave destroying the shack.

The last thing Noah so before drifting in the darkness was
