The siren went off and automatically, Noah's watch went on with a green light showing his next opponents, the team was going to be facing the one team Noah hoped he wouldn't get assigned to although his perspective of that would be changed in the near future. In this big white hall were many teams summing up to forty teams, the first round of matches had been finished and right, there were 20 teams which remained as a result, but as God would have it, Noah got paired up with his roommate, Rhett, he had hoped that with all the first years that were currently in this hall, he wouldn't have to fight against him as he was both unsure that he would win and that Rhett would go easy on him.
Over on the other side of the hall was a boy with short black hair. His brown eyes stared intently at what the watch was giving him. He was incredibly pleased at this eventful surprise and had sort of predicted this. He had wanted a full swing with this opponent but had wanted to keep on the low as not raise suspicion of his plans. The plan was simple, damage the boy while making it look like an accident but if that failed, he would have to cover it up with the excuse that it was every man for himself and while that was right, he still wanted to be on good terms with him, it still wasn't the time, at least not yet.
Both sides had contrasting thoughts although there was another that had the another idea in mind but all the same, in the same variety as the two boys. He wanted to take them down but it was better to kill two birds with one stone thus he activated his fixture and decided to change things up a bit, all would happen according when he decided that the time was right.
Noah, looked up to the heavens, he wished could thank Him in person, the watch had just showed that his opponent had been changed and while this was in his favor, he knew something wrong was going on in the vicinity. The system had showed that a fixture had been activated once again and just like before, he couldn't move a single part of his body yet his mental state was functioning properly, although his eyes were fixed at one line of sight he could hear steps around him and as suddenly as it came, everything went back to normal as not a single soul, apart from Noah and the unknown figure, knew what had just occurred in The Hall.
As Noah was internally confused, Rhett cursed his luck. He had waited for a chance to conveniently show itself and now that it had, suddenly everything switched. On the outside, he had managed to keep his usual goofy expression but only he knew his own inner turmoil. He had to find out which scum ruined his plans and take care of them using his own methods but for now, he needed to play his cards right, maybe then he would get another chance his target.
"Please head over to the teleportation ports as assigned by your watches" a soldier said loudly and firmly as he inquired all students to do as they were told, no questions asked.
During the time that Noah was fussing over his would be predicament, the team had come up with a plan that Noah had completely missed due to being lost in his thoughts. Once they had reached the teleportation port, one by one stepped onto it as they were sucked particle by particle while being reassembled in the room that the fight would take place. They stepped on one by one with Noah being the last to be transported to the room.
Unlike the las room, this one was made up of glass although that wasn't what surprised Noah the most, what many of the students were impressed with was that, this material had no refection and seemed pretty match unbreakable. Many of they had concluded that the fighting environment would get better as fighting stages increased. This fighting space was about the size of a living space for the privileged before the Clash and the war with the Relivi. It was really extremely large and had a lot of space for one to jump on walls, not only that but the glass itself looked practically impossible to break.
Seeing the new, bigger and practically indestructible fighting space, Darius couldn't help but grin with excitement as his fixture would most likely come in handy with this new environment. This was his chance to redeem himself after the previous fight and he was going to make use of it.
