"Mu, then let's not waste any time. Let's hunt down the monsters quickly. There's 1:55:38 left on my quest timer. We need to complete this Paladin Spirit quest without delay."
"Alright, Beng, don't worry. We'll get your quest done. But if we rush, even the smallest mistake could kill us. So, let's take our time and do it properly. We've been killing the monsters in about 3-4 minutes anyway."
"You're right, Mu. I got a bit carried away there. If we rush, like you said, we could end up in the graveyard. Let's calmly continue from where we left off."
"Exactly, Beng. You go first."
"Okay."
Without wasting any time, Beng Zeng pulled out his mace and began attacking the Green Wolf.

The Green Wolf immediately turned its focus on Beng Zeng, but as it moved to attack him, every strike missed. When Beng Zeng took ten steps back, Mu Lan started attacking. If either of them made even a tiny mistake, they'd end up in the realm of the dead.

The wolf's focus shifted to Mu Lan, but its attacks kept missing, not even grazing either of them.
After about 3 minutes, the wolf's HP was nearly depleted, down to just 5.
"Beng, it's got 5 HP left. The final blow is yours again."
"Got it, Mu."
Mu Lan left the final hit to Beng Zeng, as they were here for his quest after all. Would he successfully acquire the Paladin Spirit with this attack?

"Doesn't look like I got it yet."
"Shall we continue?"
"Absolutely, Mu."
Beng Zeng and Mu Lan had been hunting monsters non-stop for an hour and a half. They were killing a monster roughly every 4 minutes. In total, they had slain 22 monsters and gained a decent amount of experience.
They had gained a total of 240 Experience. Additionally, Mu Lan earned 5 copper, while Beng Zeng earned 11 copper, though neither of them had received any items.
"Mu, this quest doesn't seem to be going well. We've killed 22 Wolves, but I still haven't obtained the Paladin Spirit. I might as well accept the -50 fame penalty."
"Beng, we're missing something. There must be a reason you haven't gotten the Paladin Spirit after 22 kills. You should have it by now."
"Whatever you say, Mu. My -50 fame is on its way."
"Wait a minute, I just thought of something. The quest is on you, but we're in a party. Could it be that you have to do the quest solo?"
"I'm not sure, Mu. But it's worth a try. I need to disband the party and kill the monster myself, right?"
"Exactly, Beng. We'll attack the monster the same way, but this time I won't be in the party. You'll still land the final blow. I have a feeling you'll get the Paladin Spirit this time."
"Alright, Mu. I disbanded the party. I'm going in to attack."

Beng Zeng disbanded the party and went in to attack the monster. He swung his mace at the monster's head.

After attacking effectively, he began to retreat. When he took the tenth step back, Mu Lan started attacking.

The monster's focus shifted to Mu Lan. The Green Wolf charged at Mu Lan, but Beng Zeng was behind it. Just as the wolf was about to strike Mu Lan, Beng Zeng attacked from behind.

The wolf's focus shifted back to Beng Zeng. After about 3 minutes, the monster was down to 10 HP.
"Beng, you're on your own for the last 10 HP. I won't attack. If the monster hits you, it'll take away 100 HP max. Then you can finish it off."
"Got it, Mu. Wish me luck in acquiring the Paladin Spirit."
"Good luck, Beng. Get that spirit, and let's get you your shield. Then we can celebrate."
Beng Zeng began attacking the Green Wolf, which had 10 HP left.
