3 Days

Mu Lan and Beng Zeng finished their game and started their training. Just as they had been doing for the past few days, they began with a 10-kilometer run. Both of them could now run without getting tired. Their bodies had become accustomed to it. Perhaps they should run more than 10 kilometers.

After finishing their run, they returned home and started to take a shower. While Mu Lan was showering, he drifted into deep thoughts. "Three days ago, I blew up Xen Zu's head. But I died along with him. When I opened my eyes again, I found myself in my room, and to top it off, my best friend hadn't died. I should have controlled my tears in front of him. After all, he would have insisted on asking why I was crying. If I had known all this would happen, I would have blown up Xen Zu's head much earlier. When I blew up his head, I came back, so maybe Xen Zu also came back? No, no, that's not possible. It shouldn't be like this, right? After all, I went back 20 years. I don't know how these things work. Anyway, I should focus on gaining more power now. I should also strengthen Beng Zeng next to me. This way, he can protect himself."

"Hey Mu. How much longer will you be in the bath? We'll be late for school."

Beng Zeng's voice woke Mu Lan from his deep thoughts. Shortly after, he said, "I'm coming out now."

After Mu Lan got out of the bath and dried himself off, he headed to the cupboard to get some cornflakes and milk as a snack, then sat down opposite Beng Zeng. After pouring the cornflakes into his bowl and the milk as well, he began to eat.

"Did I seem more distracted today?"

No, it just seems that way to you; I'm just thinking a bit more. 'If I said I came from the future, I don't know how you'd react. But I can't explain it to you right now, Beng. Let's get a bit more organized, then I'll tell you.'

"Alright then, I won't press you," Beng replied.

After finishing their meal, Mu Lan and Beng Zeng went to school and entered the locker room. Their first lesson was practical martial arts. Mu Lan and Beng Zeng quickly changed into their sports clothes and headed to the gym. There were 15 minutes until the lesson started. When Mu Lan turned his head to the right, he saw Xia Lei entering the gym. Xia Lei was like a flower adorning the gym, but there was a grating voice in his ears.

"Hey, where are you looking, punk? How dare a scrawny like you look over there?" he heard a voice.

When Mu Lan turned his head, he saw the source of the scratching voice. It was Yao Lao. He was a student who had entered the military school successfully, but Mu Lan knew he had gotten in through connections. Only five people had been accepted into that school. But Mu Lan's response had thrown Yao Lao into a fit of rage, according to the school's rules, and he challenged Mu Lan to a practical fight.

"Do you have the guts to fight me?" Yao Lao challenged Mu Lan.

"Well, since you want a fight, I'll make sure you get what you want," Mu Lan replied indifferently.

Mu Lan's actions had bewildered his classmates. They thought such a scrawny guy going to a military school would faint from a single blow from Yao Lao.

In Yao Lao's thoughts, "Haha, fool, you looked at my Xia Lei. It shouldn't be a problem if I kill you. After all, you accepted the fight. I'll make sure to teach you a lesson."

While everyone supported Yao Lao, Xia Lei remained silent, watching with curiosity what would happen. But Beng Zeng's words shocked the people around him once again. "Mu, don't beat him up too much. After all, he's just like us, a student."

"Haha, just as expected of you. I'll take your words into consideration. You've brought me all my joy. Thanks, Beng," he replied indifferently, again driving Yao Lao into a fit of rage.

Yao Lao and the people around him pondered what was going on. How could these two idiots have so much confidence in themselves? Fat and Thin had gained self-confidence. But Yao Lao was in front of them. Yao Lao, who had joined the Military Academy. The whole school knew him, and yet these two idiots were treating him like a rag. Was there any greater humiliation than this?

Yao Lao's words surprised them once again. "Mu Lan, from now on, you're a dead man. Come on, get up, you damn ass, and come to the track with me. I'm going to mop the floor with you."

Mu Lan began to slowly walk towards the track as if walking on a red carpet through the people around him.
