Punishment

James and Cara moved quickly through the forest heading in the direction of one of the Disciples that seemed to be the weakest. Cara had pointed them out to James since she had a higher understanding of the difference in power between everyone.

When she had been checking the aura of all of the people she had also noticed something about James that she mentioned as they were running, "When did you finally break through?" Cara asked as they continued making their way through the forest finally getting sight of the Disciple they were looking for.

James smiled as Cara finally noticed the thing he had been most excited about the night before. After torturing the Disciple for so long and letting all his anger out, James found that he had finally broken through into the Dao Forming Realm. The requirement for this had been for him to grasp a basic idea of what his own Dao might be.

Although he had gotten the basic idea of what his Dao might be there was hardly anything formed in his Dantian or any physical effects yet due to his comprehension level. While he did want to become stronger as soon as possible it was a thought for another time since they finally arrived at the first Disciple.

"I heard you were looking for me." James said with a smile as he appeared beside the Disciple making him jump from fright as he hadn't even felt the presence of James nearby.

That could only mean one thing, 'He's stronger than me.' The Disciple thought to himself as James took his sword out and cut the man's arm off before he could even blink.

"GAH-MPHHH?!" The Disciple tried to scream in pain from the sudden cut but from behind someone covered his mouth who he didn't recognize. The person covered their face with a mask masking their identity as they pulled out a sword of their own and slit the man's throat.

"Go to sleep now~" The voice said in a sweet tone as the man began losing consciousness.

Soon after Cara dropped the body onto the ground while James stole all the man's items. The ones that were useful were stuck inside his storage ring while the rest went in Cara's which had more space for less valuable things.

"Let's move quickly. They will want to meet back up within a few hours." Cara said hurriedly as she began running once more. With the use of both their Qi Cara and James were making record time through the forest as no one had before.

The same situation as the first one happened 4 more times as Cara and James teamed up to kill some of the Disciples that had tried to target him. Ever since James had seen his village completely wiped out he decided that if someone were to target him or make him the target of some sort of violence he wouldn't let them off with their life.

The only two men remaining were the leader of the group and the injured man that seemingly got bullied by the leader time and time again to find James' location.

Now that James and Cara had taken care of most of the Disciples, they expected the group to meet back up.

In preparation for this Cara sat on one side of the clearing while James got the other so they could cover all routes of escape in case one tried to slip away. Luckily, their timing seemed to be right on the money since right when they were in position both the leader and the injured man appeared once more.

The leader of the group was clearly not happy to see this man first and made it clear, "Of course, trash like you would be first. You probably sat in a bush somewhere afraid to even look for that guy." The leader said in frustration as he also had no luck.

The injured guy didn't respond at all and just sat there ignoring the leader as they waited for the others to arrive. They waited around 20 minutes total before the leader started getting nervous, "Hey did you see any of the others on your way back?" The leader asked uncertainly.

The injured man decided to reply this time since he was also beginning to feel weird about the situation, "No, I didn't even see the back of anyone besides when we first left, what about you?" The injured man asked in confusion.

At this revelation, the leader had sweat start appearing on his back, "No I haven't even heard a peep. I have a bad feeling about this let's get out of he-" Before the leader could finish his sentence the two men were ambushed from behind.

James took the leader slicing his sword down with the intention of ending the fight quickly but surprisingly the leader was able to react dodging out of the way by rolling but not without any injuries. James was able to cut the man's shoulder badly, making blood start pouring all over his clothes while Cara ended the injured man's life without problem as his head rolled onto the ground in front of the leader.

"J-james?! Where did you come from?!" The leader said in shock as he pulled out his sword going back and forth with James exchanging blows as James tried to end things.

"Nowhere in particular, I just happened to stop by and visit some of your friends for a while. They told me they would be running slightly late~" James said with a smile as he spun and kicked the leader in the back of the head stunning him and making him drop his sword to the ground.

James then walked toward the man placing a sword on his throat and said with a smile, "We have a lot of stuff to talk about~ Now why don't you just stay there for a while and try not to scream, the more you tell me the less it hurts~" James said crazily with Cara right behind him.
