Knowledge Sea Realm

"How do you feel?" Cara asked curiously after they spent a moment in James' embrace. The entire time James had been screaming in agony making Cara and Noel very unhappy until he had woken up moments ago. He still hadn't spoken on his well being so they were rightfully worried.

"I feel much stronger. It is as if something that was blocked before has been opened." James explained as he thought about the experience he had getting to the strange sand dune in the middle of the black lake.

"Well, I can explain exactly what that was. That was your knowledge sea." Noel said with a smile as she sat down beside James. Cara also knew what it was but kept quiet since her knowledge paled in comparison to Noel which was much to her displeasure.

"My knowledge sea? Isn't that the name of one of the cultivation realms?" James questioned as he thought back to some of the stuff he had been taught through his training. Thus far he has made it through the Elementary Realm and the Dao Forming Realm which he currently thought he was at. The only other realm he had been taught about besides those two was the next one the Knowledge Sea Realm.

"Correct. I have no idea what you went through or why it happened but you just seemed to have formed your Dao and made it into the Knowledge Sea Realm. When this happens you automatically let the flow of Qi enter your mind making your Knowledge Sea. This will be a very powerful tool for you the further you make it." Noel said with a smile shocking James as he had not expected to find himself at the first stage of that realm already.

'It seems he might be reaching me a lot sooner than I had thought.' Cara thought to herself as she listened to the two talking. She did want the best for James and for him to grow as much as he could but she also wanted to be able to stand by his side when the time comes that he was stronger than her.

Well, whether he liked it or not he was hers forever now, or at least that's what she decided the moment they locked eyes so she was going to be with him either way.

"So what's the purpose of the knowledge sea?" James questioned as he still had no idea of the purpose of this new addition. Despite the realm having the name of knowledge sea he didn't realize that it would literally be a sea within his mind that opened up or rather in his case a small lake.

"If your knowledge sea is cultivated to be strong then you can start doing mental Qi attacks. These attacks focus on the mind instead of pure strength like you have done up until this point. Normally I would have already had you practicing and cultivating in advance for something I already knew about but you can't start until you reach this cultivation level." Noel explained as she tried to show James that she truly told him all of this as early as he needed to hear it.

There was a lot that Noel knew that James still had no idea about but it wasn't time for her to overload him with it all. She had long decided that her approach would be to reveal things when she deemed it was necessary for his growth. As for the things that weren't necessary she just kept them to herself and tried to have him avoid it as much as possible.

From that point, Noel continued to explain the characteristics of the knowledge sea. From what she explained to him the reason his was a lake and not a sea was due to the fact he had yet to cultivate it. The more he cultivated it the wider the space would be in his mind giving him many other uses for it. She explained that just like artifacts and swords he can use his knowledge sea like a weapon against foes that are possibly more physically strong than himself. When it comes to taking someone down Noel explained that the mind is the most susceptible to danger so it was important to start cultivating it as soon as possible.

"If the knowledge sea is such a big deal then why can't all the stronger people use their minds to control everyone beneath them?" James asked a final question once Noel was done explaining.

Noel was surprised at this question since even Cara had asked the same thing earlier in the day when they were planning out James' future training regime. When he got to the knowledge sea realm Noel had been planning exactly what would be best for him and Cara thought of this deep question as well.

"Well, when someone had yet to form a sea there is nothing to attack so the weaker people have nothing to be attacked. This way they are immune but those that are at the early stages like yourself are normally preyed on heavily and exploited through mental attacks early on. However, you don't have to worry about that since I will murder anyone who even comes near you~" Noel answered while blowing a kiss in James' direction making his heart beat slightly faster.

"I think that's enough teaching today~" Cara said with an angry smile on her face stepping in between the two looking at each other. She had been silent all this time since Noel was truly teaching James something but she wouldn't ignore obvious flirting with her man.

"Awww, we were just getting to the part where I was gonna make him eat me out~" Noel said with a fake frown as James' face had a look of shock and regret on it. His mind was immediately filled with thoughts of what might have happened before Cara looked at him with annoyance.

"Oh, so that's something you want?~ Excuse us Noel~" Cara said with a smile before grabbing James by the hair and dragging him toward the exit of the room.
