Rowella Brown

After the heated conversation between the two sects was over James and his group made their way back outside since all of the matches for the next day had been announced as well. James thought more about the random old man that seemed very against him while they walked before thinking about his upcoming match and how he would fare against his potential opponent.

He had never heard of the Beast Master Sect before or in reality many of the sects that were there. The only ones that he knew of were the ones he had come into direct contact with during his journey and every time James asked about them during training Noel and Cara would tell him to stop asking questions and continue with his workout.

"Can you tell me anything about that old man or at least something about that Beast Master Sect now?" James questioned as he walked hand in hand with Cara and Noel. Their hand-holding was attracting the gazes of those around them per usual but James had learned to block out anyone who wasn't directly related to him so he didn't notice their stares.

"I suppose we can now." Noel said with a thoughtful voice as she looked at Cara for confirmation. When Cara nodded her head in agreement, she looked back at James with a serious look.

"First we will start off with the person you will likely be facing in tomorrow's match. Her name is Rowella Brown and just like you, she is an Inner Disciple. From what we have been able to gather she is a user of the Blood Bat beast." Noel explained while James listened closely. As he was listening he realized that Noel and Cara hadn't simply been ignoring the other people's information but rather gathering it themselves so he could focus on training and just be given the information when the time was ready.

This kind gesture made James feel really warm inside to the point his black Qi started to react in turn making both Noel's and Cara's black Qi react alerting them to James' inner feelings and current thoughts.

Since they knew they had been found out they only smiled, "We obviously weren't going to let you go down there without knowing how to destroy them." Cara said with a sweet smile while squeezing James' hand before Noel smiled, continuing what she was saying.

The trio looked relatively calm on the outside as they thanked one another but the three could easily tell each other's feelings and knew that the two wanted to ravage James right then and there while he wanted to do the same to them.

It wasn't until multiple moments later that they all finally calmed down and their breathing wasn't so ragged. It was clear to James that due to how desperate and needing he was of their attention and affection he often needed a moment to collect himself before he became too brazen in public.

"Back to the tournament, the beast being used by this Disciple is none other than the Blood Bat beast. This beast is known to take the blood of any victim it meets until there is none left leaving the animal or human dead." Noel explained while Cara nodded her head in agreement approving of the information to show it was accurate despite James already trusting every word 100%.

"When you say the beast is being used by the Disciple how does that all work is every Disciple connected to some sort of beast in some way?" James questioned as he had never thought about the combination of cultivators and beasts.

"For some people in that sect, the answer is yes they have their companions from birth and some have their partner due to their bloodline but there are also people like the girl you are facing that simply take the time and effort to tame the animal before bringing them to fight." Noel explained right as familiar faces began walking right beside them.

'Speak of the devil.' James thought to himself as he watched the Beast Master Sect slowly make their way out of the arena just like James and the rest of his group. It was only a matter of time before the crowd started packing out the outside area as well.

Now that the sect was right in front of James he tried to spot the person he was going to be facing by the pet in their hand or on their body but much to his surprise there was no such person in the sect from what he saw.

Instead of a beast, they all looked like normal cultivators who didn't need any help from an external weapon such as a beast or animal.

James continued to stare for multiple moments looking for something that might lead to his opponent but due to his lack of knowledge on the matter he didn't have anything else to go on except for what Noel and Cara had told him.

Luckily they were both with him at this moment as they discretely pointed out a girl that was wearing a small silver necklace with some sort of figure on it as a charm, "That's her right there, the one you will be facing, Rowella Brown. I'm sure you noticed that there were no beasts with any of the members despite them literally being called the beast sect but if you look closely at their necks you will be able to find their animals." Noel explained with a smug look on her face.

James didn't really understand what she meant but complied anyway as he stared at the neck of the girl he would be facing. From what he could see it was a normal pendant with a less-than-human face on it.

He stared at it for a few long moments before he realized that the back structure of the pendant resembled a kind of creature and the face itself on the pendent was less than human for sure.
