Knocking Some Sense

"H-how have you gotten that strong already?!" Robert squeaked in confusion as he felt the aura of James. Everyone there knew that James was the most recent Disciple inside the sect and the fact that he knew nothing about cultivation before winding up in the sect.

So for someone like him to already be this strong and almost rivaling a Core Disciple in cultivation level was surprising to Robert and all of those watching.

When Cara and Noel saw everyone's shocked faces they only smirked since they knew that not only did James have the black Qi that seemed to strengthen him much faster but he also trained harder than anyone else by taking their training regime for him seriously and without complaint.

"How about you stop asking questions and just lose already?!" James shouted with a smile as he shot toward Robert with a grin on his face. The speed he was moving at was a lot higher than people at his cultivation level normally had due to the constant testing of his physical body's limits.

Due to this sudden speed, Robert didn't have much time to react and only moved after James had already swung his sword cutting the side of Robert's cheek just enough for blood to slowly trickle out.

"Damn it!" Robert shouted in anger as he responded with an attack of his own. His sword which was a light blue began glowing as Robert channeled his Qi inside of it before Robert slashed down with all his might shooting and forming a sharp piece of ice that shot at James quickly.

'Uh oh.' James thought in surprise when he saw how fast the ice was moving. If he didn't do something then the ice would pierce right through his stomach!

With this thought in mind, James began channeling his Qi inside of his sword as well. Besides just training his body and cultivation James had been trained in a single martial technique that Noel had hand-picked for him and Cara then approved of after talking about it.

While he still wasn't fully adept in it James knew that this was his only chance of stopping the ice spear, 'Void wave!' James shouted in his head as he poured all of the Qi around his body into his sword making the sword shake as if it was going to burst due to the sudden intake of Qi.

James' inner Qi and Dao may be determined by his love for his wives but that didn't mean that his martial arts could be the same. To turn that Qi and Dao into power Noel and Cara had continuously been looking to find the best kind of arts that would fit James.

What they decided on were void techniques that could be formed and turned into anything with the right power just like his obsession for his wives that could make his power limitless. This was proven by the wave of Qi that shot out of James' sword like a tsunami of black Qi that aimed to not only destroy the ice spear but also kill Robert.

When James sent this Void Wave out Robert had sweat appear on his brow as he felt the power coming off of the wave. The spear that he had sent was destroyed in an instant clearly overwhelmed by not only the power of the martial art but also the purity of James' Qi.

"AGHHHH!" Robert shouted in agony when the wave finally caught up to him. He had tried to run away from it but before he could do so it seemed to speed up and hit him square in the chest. He felt as if every bone in his rib cage was going to break due to the force before it finally ended shooting him into the nearby wall of the hotel and knocking him out with blood pouring from his head.

"Robert!!" Many of the elders shouted as they hadn't expected him to take damage like this. They all surrounded him and began taking care of his wounds soon after seeing that it was so serious.

"You think you could have gone a little easier on him?" A voice said behind James as the others rushed towards Robert's side. When James turned around he was surprised to see Patriarch Colton who seemed to be sighing with a tired look on his face.

"Sorry about that he just spoke too much. If he can't fight in his match then I can replace him tomorrow." James said with a smile on his face as he also put his sword away.

Patriarch Colton and the Matriarch were surprised by his offer, "Are you sure you can pull of something like that even after fighting in your match?!" Matriarch Hannah asked curiously.

"Of course, he can. That's my husband you're talking about, if he can't do it then no one can." Cara said as she arrived standing beside James with a confident look on her face.

"I think if I even incapacitated little miss annoying over here then he could take on that person as well." Noel said with a smirk as she gestured toward Cara who frowned in annoyance when she heard the comment but didn't say anything since she agreed that James would do well.

"Well in that case I will have to rely on you if Robert isn't able to perform tomorrow. Make sure to get a good night's rest." Patriarch Colton said before walking back inside the hotel with Matriarch Hannah.

James and crew also headed inside soon after not caring for the state Robert was in after he dared to speak in such a way toward him. However, once they got inside James, Noel, and Cara celebrated his victory in a number of hot and heavy ways.

By the time the sun rose up the next day, James was more prepared than he ever thought he would be for the day ahead. It was finally the day he and his Sect would start getting their revenge on the Steel Venom Sect.
