Chapter 2 1/3

Rose walked into the class. A down look on her face.

Joseph glanced at her , he noticed her uneasy look but looked away.

"where are the metals?"....the teacher complained, noticing her empty hands.

"I'm sorry miss, I couldn't get it as there were seniors up there".....

she answered.

"what!!"...

"yes ma'am ".....

"this children".....she said under her breath and stormed out of the class.

Rose staggered to her seat. A rush of disappointment and guilt ran through her bloodstreams.

she wanted to talk to Joseph even more now. she had realized she wasn't a good friend to him. she hated him for his efforts to save her from Mark.

her hands shivered. she tried hard to hold back her tears and summon the courage to finally Apologize to Joseph.

slowly, she reached to touch him but he ignored her still. he pushed his glasses up his nose and pulled his backpack from behind his seat. he got up and walked away, and within split seconds, the bell rang. Everyone left the class except Rose who stayed and sobbed to herself.

A while later, she strolled out the school building quickly moving into the streets. her unhappy expression still hanged on her face though the passing breeze eased off her tension.

she ignored the sounds of the passing cars and squicky honks from the cyclists bicycles.

She missed her bestfriend. All she wanted to do was go home and cry to herself.

she turned into a road that had a basketball court and a green garden just upfront.

she sighed.

"ugh"..... she heard a painful groan.

She stopped to confirm if the sound she heard was actually real.

"Get up loser !".....A male voice raised his tone.

The voice sounded familiar to her. she listened in and tried to trace the location from which the voice was coming from. she moved closer to the old basketball court and the noise got louder and louder. It sounded as though someone was being beat up mercilessly .

"You think you're a tough nerd, huh!!, Get up and fight"...the voice yelled again, following the sound of wood running into the flesh of a person and then a painfilled scream.

"wait a minute, I know that voice"...Rose said to herself.

"That's mark!"....

she closed her eyes, trying hard to hold back her irritation and sudden hatred for Mark.

"leave Rose alone. Don't touch her"... A weak voice spoke out. it seemed as though the person was out of strength and breath.

Rose opened her eyes in shock at the sound of her name.

"leave her alone!"....the voice screamed.

Rose's eyes teared up.

"is that Joseph?".....she stammered

She ran into the court to see what was going on and to her surprise, she saw her Nerdy bestfriend on then floor. His glasses shattered to pieces, planks of wood lying beside him. his whole face covered in blood and sweat.

she looked up to see Mark and his two usual entourage, laughing at what they had just done to him. Mark leaned in to Joseph again, about to punch him when Rose shouted.

"Enough!"...

Mark turned to see Rose standing at the entrance to the court. her eyes teared up.

Mark got up. quickly hiding the evil Joy on his face behind a cute soft smile.

"Rose it's not what you think?"....

he walked up to her.

"what do you mean!, you want to murder my bestfriend !"...she raised her voice at him.

"am not killing him, trust me. Just teaching him a small lesson"... he chuckled.

"why?, huh!, because he saved me from a no good player like you, who only cares about himself. you're a heartless monster"...

"what?".....Mark couldn't believe what he just heard. his cute pretend smile slowly withered into an annoyed,angry frown.

"Get out or I'll end up killing the both of you, "....he threatened her.

he signaled to his boys who then continued to hit Joseph.

"No!, leave him alone".....she screamed.

her veins turned green. they shot out from the inside of her body and were now extremely visible. Joseph still so weak and helpless on the floor, noticed Rose's eyes turning green slowly through the blur in his sight.

"what?".... Mark blurted out. Amazed and frozen in shock at her glowing green eyes.

"no"....Joseph said to himself.

"Not here Rose , Not now"....

he pushed himself up from the ground and pushed away the two boys. he staggered to her and eventually fell on her shoulders.

he struggled for breath but was able to get some words out his mouth.

"Rose I'm fine. just go. They can't find out. Stop!".....he said repeatedly.

"Not a chance".....she said in a deep monstrous voice.

large green stems shot out of her back, sending Joseph to the ground and moving swiftly to the three boys who were frightened to death at the sight of the monstrous Transformation. the stems grabbed unto the throats of the three boys and choked them. Rose in her uncontrollable anger created a glowing ray of light in a spherical form. she sent it to Mark's head and covered him with it.

Mark gasped for breath so deeply. it was as though the spherical element was sucking out all the oxygen in his brain.

"How do you see me now, Mark?!".....she screamed in her monstrous voice.

"Rose stop".....Joseph begged, still struggling to get up"....

"Rose, enough!, you'll kill them!"...

he yelled continously to Rose who couldn't care less.

he struggled to get up. he looked to see Mark at the verge of losing his life. he looked at the mercilessness in Rose's eyes.

"Rose stop!"...He ran and pushed her to the floor. she hit the floor and came back to her senses. the stems retracted into her body and so did her glowing eyes. the stems that held unto the three boys , slammed them into the wall and then quickly retracted back into Rose's body.

she finally regained her senses and looked up to see how much damage she had done to the three unconscious boys.

she turned to see Joseph slowly falling to the ground. his eyes slowly closing.

"Joseph!"....she rushed over and caught him.

"let's get you outta here "....she said, looking back at the three unconscious boys.
