Fluffy New Puppy

As Embree began to stir the older male got up and began making a high-protein breakfast for his newest friend. making 2 dozen eggs, 4 lbs of bacon, 2 steaks with a couple of buttered toast to top it all off. He grabbed his tray full of food and sat it on the table then went and grabbed the jug of milk and orange juice, placing them with glasses on either side of the table. The older male smiled a little then headed back to his basement to fetch the other man. As he walked through the door and began descending down his stairs a muffled thump made him feel a bit concerned until he heard the mumbling from the other. "Damn that is cold. Can't he have carpeting down here to make the floor warmer at least?" Coming to stand at the bottom of the stairs the older male watched the other as he dusted himself off. Once the young man turned around he clutched his chest and looked frightened for a second. "Can you NOT creep up on people who have already had a rough day?" They stood there in silence for a second longer then Embree looked down at his feet. "Sorry I mean, please don't sneak up on me after all that crap man. Man whatever you gave me had me out like a light. I might need more of that so as I can sleep better at night." A lighthearted chuckle rumbled out of the older man's throat.

"I didn't really give you anything, you underwent a change and healed up fairly well from what I can see. I made breakfast so come on up and eat. I know you're starving after all the healing you had to do over these past two days." Turning to head back upstairs, he didn't wait for the other to reply to him. "Hey!" Embree began jogging after the other so as he could get some better answers. "My name is Ulf, I was a Viking back in my days of youth but now I have to fight creatures from this new world you have been thrown into. I can explain more after breakfast kid so try not to hound me too much with questions until then. You wouldn't really like a hungry werewolf alpha who is already on edge because of evil demon witches." Embree stumbled over his own foot as he came into the kitchen behind Ulf. "So that wasn't just some crazy dream?" Ulf looked at him with a no-nonsense look then sat at the table. Embree's stomach grumbled as the smell of the food hit him. "Right talk later, food first. Smells great by the way." Nervous that he already started doing the pestering that Ulf had said not to do.

After they finished off the food and had plenty of drink to quench their thirsts, Embree waited as the older man washed the dishes. After that was done he gestured for him to follow him to another room in the house. "Alright so no it wasn't a dream. Sorry to pop that happy bubble of yours kid." A sour look crossed his face at being called a kid. "I'm 32 years old, I am not a kid anymore Ulf." A smirk lifted the corners of the older man's lips at that. "You're a kid to me and will always be a kid if you keep acting like one. Next no going out by yourself at all just to make sure you don't accidentally bite anyone or get harmed by anything else out there. "Why would I bite anyone by accident?" He felt dumb as soon as the question had left him. "Never mind don't answer that, I should already understand since I can smell a whole lot better and hear things way out there. I just, I just don't know what all to ask or how to put some of this into words really. I'm Embree by the way, you know in case you have to know my name for whatever reason."

Another smirk and he shook his head this time. "You're an amusing kid, never thought I would willingly put myself raising another pup but here you are." He held up his hand. "Embree, you are now a werewolf like me. I have to teach you the rules and how to avoid unnecessary situations. I will also have to teach you how to fight and about the other creatures that are out there. In time you will forget about this painful time and become a true predator." A slow nod was all Embree could muster after that chunk of information. "Will I change by the full moon?" He looked really serious as he asked this question and Ulf couldn't help but laugh. "You have watched way too many horror movies kid. We are not uncontrollable beasts who kill everything in sight. Yes, some of us do go feral after years of isolation or having no pack. We do have an allergy to silver but it is not as deadly as the movies make it. Wolfsbane is the biggest threat to us in that regard. We can change spontaneously in our first years of being newly changed though the time varies for us all."

Embree blinked a few times as he took this all in. Looking down he mulled over his new situation then his head shot up. "What about my family? Can I ever go see them again? Would that be too risky to attempt, you know after I get more control over all of this?" "You can go see them in a few months if I notice you have decent control but to be safe I may have to accompany you." Embree nodded and then pain struck him as his flesh felt as though it was a blaze. Bones began to pop and his flesh began to stretch as they moved into their new placements. "Well, I should have guessed you were stressed out. Who wouldn't be when it comes to their loved ones. It is best if you take those clothes off so as they don't restrain your changing body. Makes changing a lot worse than it has to be." After he struggled to get his pants off, the shirt was torn to shreds thanks to his clawed fingers, Embree dropped onto his knees. The change made him feel as though fire coursed through his veins, through his muscles, and through his very bones. The end result of his change left a tall, lanky dark brown wolf with a tan diamond over his right eye. "You look good as a wolf Embree." The wolf snarled at him and he growled back. "Don't think I can not handle you pup. I am the alpha of this pack and I didn't get it because of my age. You will understand that here and now." His tone alone made the wolf shrink closer to the floor with a small whimper. "Good boy Embree."
