Dungeon Corruption

As Spooky, Banshee, and Slax enter the core room they all sit in front of me and relax themselves before Tilly clears her throat.

"Okay now first things first, the reason Spooky is here is because somehow he's started to gain sentience a bit. Normal boss mobs don't play with their victims like that now if you are lets see it Spooky." She says assuredly as we all glance at the large boss creature. When we all glance at him, Spooky growls meekly as before barking out some words.

"Grow...think....play....prey....Boss.....protect....me!" He growls as Tilly, Slax, and I are all dumbfounded.

'Hey Tilly....how can Spooky talk exactly.....he doesn't have lips....or know words....." I ask in confusion as Tilly lets out a sigh of relief.

"Well Kyle think of it as a benefit of being a dungeon. Most monsters have some form of language but very rarely can anyone outside of their species understand it. But a dungeon is equipped with a translator so that it can understand it's food/victims and devise new ways of challenging them as well as so it can communicate with all potential creatures that wish to join it. Spooky may be a beast but he's also an evolved version and a fairly rare one at that which ,in the wild, would mean he would be a pack leader or some such where he would need to communicate. So technically he isn't speaking our language but his own and it's translated for us. Right now he's sentient but more predator but the fact he acknowledges you as his boss and protecting you means he's on the right path to becoming a serious threat to adventurers in the future. I was just worried that he was possibly corrupted somehow as I saw him acting differently from a normal boss." Tilly explains as I nod in understanding and Slax shows a look of disbelief.

"Then that would mean that all knowledge be within our grasp. We be able to learn everything!" mumbles Slax excitedly before Tilly clears her throat again before we refocus on her.

"So now we need to discuss the corrupted creatures. They usually only appear when a dungeon has become corrupt by some means and begins to malfunction. Instead of staying contained and creating mobs, these dungeons lash out like a wild animal and start trying to turn the outside world into its dungeon. As it encounters living creatures it forcefully enslaves them or sometimes even fuses the creatures into horrific creatures that are also insane. These dungeons also usually either eat or enslave their familiar and use them to forcibly leave their area of influence and scout out new prey. Those mouse wolf things weren't very strong so hopefully its either far away or its a small one like us. If it approaches we'll be forced into a dungeon war and this is where everybody needs to be prepared." Tilly says as we all nod seriously towards her, even our newest addition(Banshee) has a serious look on its face.

"When a dungeon war is initiated, two dungeons begin attacking each other with their mobs. Tunnels will be made by either dungeon into the others and mobs can be sent between them to do battle. Pretty much the goal is for one dungeon to remove the core and bring it to the others core room, thereby killing the enemy. When this happens the winning core cannibilizes its enemy and gains a portion of that dungeons abilities, mana capacity, blueprints, loot and sometimes even gaining a boss or pacted creature. The winner can get a massive amount of spoils from the war but also suffer damage since during the war the entrance to both dungeons close and prevent entry by outsiders. Meaning its dungeon vs dungeon and the strongest or smartest wins. So our first step is we need to look at our new blueprints, loot, and decorations and get this place into shape as well as get the mobs training. I'll bring up your status now Kyle so that you can see what you have to work with. Also you can cancel the respawn of mobs if we don't need them and I think we should get rid of some castyr so we have room for stronger or more varied creatures." Tilly explains as I confirm her wishes and get rid of most of the castyr leaving me with the evolved ambusher, 3 blighted, and 4 regulars. After I cancel out the old mobs I look at my status and am surprised at the new stats.

[Dungeon Core Kyle Level 4]

Maximum number of rooms-12 Maximum number of Floors-2 Maximum number of mobs-40

Maximum number of bosses-3 Dungeon skills- Dungeon Vision, Amateur Trap Making

'Tilly I leveled up twice! And we can add a second floor! Plus I can have a whole three bosses! We're way stronger now!!!' I scream as Tilly smiles happily and Slax nods his head in pride.

"Good! Now your gonna have to create the second floor and dungeon etiquette states that the stairs downward should be after the boss, that way they can progress to the next floor after defeating Spooky and not having to worry the boss can attack them from behind. Now Bring up the descriptions of the blueprints you've gotten. And summon one of each so we can see what we have to work with." Tilly orders as I start appraising the blueprints and glance at the loot I got from the goblin.

{Species- Grave Crawler Description- Small Octopus like creatures that move their bodies into hollow bones and use them as armor. As the crawler inhabits the bones it secretes a slime that hardens and become as hard as iron, while at the end of each tentacle is a spike that secretes a paralytic poison. Although Carnivorous, these creatures are ambush hunters and only pursue prey when starving or forced to.}

{Species- Flesh Mite Description- Small coin sized insects that attach themselves to living creatures and create a symbiotic relationship with them. In exchange for small bits of their flesh and blood they secrete an enzyme into their preys blood that increases their muscle strength as well as healing, allowing to mite to live comfortably. If forcibly removed the might will explode causing damage to both its host and enemy.}

{Species- Abyss Snake Description- Silent hunter's with pitch black scales, these creatures move against prey in groups of three with the larger female taking the lead. Abyss Snakes are frightening due to the venom in their fangs and their extreme speed allowing them to overtake prey quickly, while their venom can kill creatures several times their size within minutes.

[Loot Received- Primitive Spear, Fur Hide Armor, Flogging Whip, Wicked Dagger of Sadism, Whetstonex2, Janglesh Jerkyx5, Shrieker Venomx2, Reins and Bit]

'The flesh mites we can put on the castyr to boost them a little and maybe cause surprise damage. The crawler could be good to hide in different places and if we let its stingers drop they'd make good weapons maybe? The snake and goblin are the best prizes I think plus the goblin had an enchanted dagger. I already have the second floor started and half a first room so now we should start making these guys! And I think the goblin would be a good boss right? I ask as Tilly nods her head in agreement as I start summoning one of each creature and wait until they pop out.
