A Dimensional shop in the MCU 1

It had been a long night for me, working too many shifts too often, being wore down by doubles all the time. Waking up with a migraine though, like I had been on a bender isnt something I tend to experience often as I don't drink which leads to the confusion I'm currently facing.

Though when I open my eyes things begin to make slightly more sense to me. Seeing a blue screen in front of your face without a monitor can only mean a certain few things, at least going by the stories I tend to read. 1. I am delusional and am seeing things. Or 2. I was transmigrated.. I only say that because looking at myself I look exactly as I remember, I'm just not where I remember last being at.

I had woken up on a small bed set in a corner in a small room with light coming from two windows on either side of a door… the only door that I can see in this in this little 10x10x10 room.

Well back to the blue screen of possible death.

~Congratulations for being selected to be the new Shopkeeper for the Dimensional Shop!

You can buy, sell , barter or trade for different things through the multiverse! What you keep in stock is truly up to you!

As a Shopkeeper you have been granted a few perks within the shop!

Firstly, no conflict of any kind can take place inside the shop, be it magic, guns or anything else unless there is a designated place to do so such as purchasing a specific type of room to do so and even still nobody can die within said room.

Secondly you are granted allspeak both within and without the shop.

Thirdly you will receive the ability of appraisal, being a shopkeeper you must know the value of what your trade right?

Fourthly, currency from different worlds is converted into whatever currency you need at the time.

Fifthly, you can use currency to upgrade, enlarge, add specific rooms or even buy items from the shop system, though items bought from shop tend to be more expensive than walking to Wal-Mart.

An added note is the shop is basically your domain, you can move shelves and rooms or reshape the shop as you wish freely!"

Congratulations on your new life as a Shopkeeper, also you will receive a starters fund! Please enjoy!~

If I was Chinese I would probably be vomiting blood but since I'm simply a pissed off American you could probably see the vein in my temple throbbing and my eye twitching in anger right now.

While this sounds interesting, who really know what this bullshit really means? Also I'm only starting with $500 to stock my non existent shelves! What can I buy with that honestly!?

———————————————————

Well from the newspaper I saw in passing on my way to the grocery store it is 2010 so I can actually buy a little bit of stuff as prices were better and money went further but I had no clue what kind of people would actually come to my freaking shop so I was shooting blind in the dark on what to actually buy!

I decided to keep it as simple as possible and just bought a few things for now.. 10 one gallon jugs of water and a few cases of Ramen until I know the types of customers I will actually have in the future and it just felt sad having my one shelf completely bare.. oh and I also bought a divider that hid my bed simply because that would be weird to see.

It had been several hours since I had gotten back from the store and I was literally twiddling my thumbs while contemplating my new existence while wondering if I was going to have to go out and get a job if nobody would enter the shop to purchase my meager wares when I literally felt somebody enter my shop so I stood up from my chair stationed behind the counter that held the cash register to greet my first customer only to stop in shock.

The person was easily recognizable to me, being one of the leading protagonists of one of my favorite zombie series FTWD. None other than Alicia Clark herself had just entered my shop.

"Hello, welcome to my Dimensional Shop, my name is Alex how may I help you today?" I told the weary looking girl with a polite smile. She looked like how I remembered her around the beginning of the series if I wasn't mistaken, season 1 or 2 for sure at least.

She had an extremely confused look going on right now. "Dimensional Shop? What do you mean by that? Ohhh and Alicia, my name is Alicia Clark." I had to go in to a whole spiel about what it was and what I could do and she honestly didn't believe me and I couldn't really blame her though when she looked out the windows of the shop by the door she came in… the view didn't match the surroundings that she entered from and from that alone I got a little credit I guess.

She obviously didn't have cash on her but her family needed supplies so she had to leave to tell her family where they could actually buy things with actual paper money or precious metals.

I had also told her that I could acquire anything that a normal person could buy before their world fell whether it be from Walmart or a gun shop or simply McDonald's or something along those lines.

Needless to say she said she would be back in 30 minutes after hearing fast food was a possibility giving me time to actually go and get it for her.

Big Macs and double cheeseburgers were the magic word of the day with fries and drinks. I had bought enough for 10 people but it took me a little longer than the 30 minutes that she said she would be. Forty five minutes after she left the shop as I was walking back to the Shop with the order a message appeared before my eyes.

~Customers have entered shop - teleport to shop yes/no?~

I obviously clicked yes as it saved me about 10 minutes of walking while carrying a fairly large order of shit.

I literally appeared out of thin air without a sound or flash behind the cash register with food in hand.

There was a large group, pretty much the entire group of season 1 was in my store. I have no clue their current situation but damn that's a large group of people. I was shocked to actually see Liza still with them though so she must already be infected and at the estate or whatever that Victor owns and hasn't offed herself yet like she did in canon unless this is some kind of an AU or whatever.

They were obviously startled to see me pop out of nowhere right before their eyes and I instantly had several guns pointed in my direction. "Don't bother, weapons don't work in the shop though feel free to shoot the roof to check… and they did almost instantly much to their consternation and fear though I ignored them.

"Alicia!" I say cheerily as I hand her a thing of still hot fries with just a hint of salt from McDonald's and I could almost swear she had an orgasm at the first bite of greasy goodness in a while.

"They are still hot!" She said to no one in glee. She also literally threw the money they collected onto the table, looking to be several hundred dollars at the least, maybe as much as $700. I was fine with that, it was good profit plus it would set a precedent to work with and a starting business relationship. I handed the bag to Madison and she started handing out things and I'm pretty sure some of them had actual tears in their eyes at the comfort food being displayed and basically given to them for something that is now useless in their world, paper money and even silver and gold have little value to them now.

I counted and put the money in my register. I now had I had $1140 all considered, including my left over starting money of which I had used very little.

After about twenty minutes and everyone having fairly satisfied looks on their faces Alicia walked back up to me, I'm guessing since she found me she got voted as ambassador or whatever you want to call it to keep things from cluttering or talking over each other. "So Alex… I think I can say I believe you about the shop but what else can you get exactly?" Hmm fair question I guess but to me the answer is obvious.

"Well Alicia, I can pretty much acquire anything a normal person could acquire before your world went to crap, that's the easiest way to say it really. Food, water, guns, ammo. Anything a civilian can buy so too can I as long as the price is right. Honestly I would do it for free considering all the people probably in need in your world but I still have to go out and buy the things that people want me to acquire.

To get a clear grasp on prices, basic things like food/water will only be double the price you would expect it to be in a grocery store but specialty items like guns, ammo and most other things would be about 3x the price you would expect to find in stores.

Now before you get upset about price gouging, remember that paper money literally hold no real value to you and all you gotta do is empty a cash register or make your way into any place that stores money or precious metals and you literally have supplies for probably the rest of your lives.

I should also mention that the shop has special features to upgrade itself so the money isn't only for me. For instance I can, for the right price, buy an addition in the form of a 5 star hotel room that people can stay in and that's really just the start as I haven't even gone over the full capabilities of the shop yet myself as I only just got harangued into being the shopkeeper a few hours before we met today. Also the fact I literally got Isekied, started with $500 to stock the shop as a starting fund while having no clue what worlds or people will be attached to this shop."

She just gave a look of understanding mixed with confusion, likely only understanding parts of the story and having slight guesses for the rest.

"Alright so the shop accepts precious metals and even paper money to upgrade itself kinda like a video game almost, that's neat and I really am sorry you got dragged from your home to this place but it could always be worse, you could be stuck on the other side of that door. Small mercies right?" She told me while looking at the door they entered from with a small smile. Honestly she was right, being born or transmigrated into their world would be far worse than the shop if I'm being honest.

Though if Alex knew he was actually sent to the MCU as his main world then he would probably freak the fuck out. Zombies are easier to deal with than cosmic beings after all.

"That's pretty much the gist of it anyways. And thanks, your right honestly, I don't envy you much living in that world. I hope you will be safe out there and actually visit often!" I tell the pretty girl with a small smile.

She walked away to the poor single shelf in the shop to check the prices of my meager offerings and saw that I had added a few different candy bars which she Yeeted alongside a case of ramen and two jugs of water. After paying she waved goodbye and her and her family left to parts unknown.

I was kinda sad the Liza would probably die in a few hours(if she was even bit) as she was the definition of milf. Nothing I could do though as I don't have the cure to the zombie virus or whatever it is.
