Now that I wasn't completely poor I went back to the store to buy a few more basic things, a little more water, some candy bars, some canned goods and of course different kinds of Ramen and cup noodles. I also bought a few boxes of 9mm ammunition as you don't or didn't need an ID to buy it, only to buy the gun itself.
I had just had visitors from the freaking walking dead universe so I honestly had no clue what to expect at this point. I almost figured I would be attached to anime worlds or something, which would be interesting as I always wanted to visit the land of gravity defying titties known as high school DxD or even High School of the dead would be interesting, but it seems those dreams are probably dashed.
It was the next morning before I had my next customer, she was a classically beautiful woman with blonde/brown hair wearing a red dress with a leather jacket.
I may start having a breakdown if the worlds connected to my shop are all zombie apocalypse worlds as I would actually like to go out and explore at least a little bit without dying miserably.
This person was of course Alice from Resident Evil. The first movie if I had to guess by how she was dressed.
"Hello and welcome to my Dimensional Shop, my name is Alex. How May I be of service today?" I gave her my what will probably become normal spiel.
"Shop? Down here in the Hive? Don't you know what's going on mister?!" She looked panicked, probably running from the dead for a bit.
"Well yes and no. This shop is connected to many dimensions. Once a connection is established as we have just done, I usually receive some basic knowledge about the situation or the world in general. For instance I know that you are fleeing from undead creatures and that the cause of the reanimation is the T-Virus.
I also know a bit about the Umbrella Corporation and such, mix in a little knowledge about the future of your world just for fun I guess." Ehh maybe too much information? Il have to tone it back next time a bit going by her face.
"Ok.. my name is Alice by the way. If this is a shop what do you sell exactly?" She asks while turning around to check out my meager merchandise. It isn't overly impressive to be honest. It's more in what I can acquire right now than what I have.
"Honestly not much right now. The basics for food, water, a little ammunition. Also considering your current circumstances being trapped in a facility, I doubt you currently have any funds on your person nor will you in the next few days or longer but I'm willing to take and IOU for now.
Payment tends to consist of regular cash, precious metals, trade or barter."
I also figured out finally somewhat how the shop works now. Basically the shop will appear before important people from whichever reality it connects they will almost be compelled to enter the shop the first time and after that all the person has to do is REALLY want to enter the shop after the first time and they will be able to find it subconsciously.
"I think the main thing that will interest you from within the shop will be the ammunition, though I have no weapons, if you have a 9mm gun it should help.
I can always acquire specialty things for the right price though I don't have an ID in any world so buying guns in most worlds would be problematic at best for the moment."
I walked past her and opened the closed door she walked through and opened it only for her to be shocked at what she saw. It wasn't the same place as she had entered, it opened a view of a city instead of the Hive facility pretty much proving the dimensional aspect of the Shop.
"I can admit I'm some what interested in the T-Virus as the shop has the ability to copy and perfect such things. For instance the cure for the T-Virus is spotty on if it will work or how quickly you need to inject it but the shops version would pretty much work until just before the person died.
Unfortunately I myself have to buy something like that from the shop itself and I can honestly guess that it will be stupidly expensive, more than most people could spend wantonly." I tell the pretty lady with a shrug.
After thinking for a moment and remembering Rains situation Alice asked important questions that I had to actually look up and it turns out something could be worked out.
"There is a credit system in the shop so that say you sold the T-Virus and the cure to the shop I could credit you with their worth and that should be substantial enough to buy a perfect cure and maybe even a perfected T-Virus.
I can already tell that you would be able to bond with it as it is and you are but with the perfected version there would be no down sides and I can tell you without hesitation that you will need the advantage as Umbrella will be hunting you after you leave the facility you are currently in."
She had a grim look in her eyes and I kinda felt bad. She was already having memory issues and I had dropped a lot on her mind.
She only took a few moments before she agreed to everything. I even told her where everything should be at the moment as they basically left the case with the virus on the train, all they had to do was make it back there. I was admittedly curious how things would turn out with my small interference even if I didn't do much.
"Hey Alice!" I yell to her as she is about to leave the shop with her magazine reloaded and a few dozen extra rounds.
"Be careful of animals, they can become infected as well." I tell her knowing she would run into the mutts soon if she hadn't already which I doubt she did. She just nodded and walked out of the shop.
I had already explained to her that if she wants to find the shop again all she has to do is concentrate and a doorway leading to the shop will appear nearby as long as there is an actual door for it to do so.
