Benefit of Divergent Licence

Ban drove to the nearest restaurant. He ordered a private room for the group which was immediatly arranged.

He noticed that the employees busied themselves attaching a machine at the entrance of the restaurant.

"What are they doing at the entrance?" Ban asked the waitress.

"That is a machine provided by the authorities for Divergents. Next week, all of the business firms, restaurants and any type of businesses except stalls and wet markets should have this kind of machine." The waitress replied. She continued, "Anyone needs to have a Divergent Licence to enter."

"So it's like an entry pass to dine in your restaurant." Ban nodded.

"Big sis, I have a licence here." Lucy took her licence and showed it to the waitress.

The waitress nodded, "I have one too- Wait. Your licence.." She stared at Lucy's licence in disbelief.

"What is it, big sis?" Lucy asked in puzzlement.

"This.. This is the highest level.. Level 20. Impossible.." The waitress muttered in silence. The shining level 20 was tagged in the card.

"Yes. We just registered today. Look." Lucy pointed at the other girls who presented their licence each.

"O.M.F.G!" The waitress jaw dropped seeing the red cards. What she didn't expect is that, they are all level 20 too.

The waitress almost fainted seeing the cards.

"Why? Is there something to these cards that we don't know about?" Ban asked in confusion.

"Uhhh." The waitress was speechless. She took a deep breath and said, "A Licence is very important to everyone. As long as you have this, you can get any discounts everywhere. I have a level 1 licence. If I eat to a restaurant, I can have a discount of 5 percent of overall bills."

Ban became interested. He asked, "Tell me more about this discount thingy."

"Okay." The waitress wasn't sure if they faked the licence. However, it is not effective yet so she returned to her usual calm.

In restaurants, one can get discount for the bills.

Level 1 = 5% discount.

Level 2 = 10% discount.

Level 3 = 15% discount.

Level 4 = 20% discount.

Level 5 = 25% discount.

Level 6 = 30% discount.

...

Level 19 = 95% discount.

Level 20 = 99% discount.

Ban was amazed. If he had a level 20 licence, he could buy anything he wants without spending too much money.

"AAAAAHHH!!!"

Ban was startled hearing the girls yelled excitedly. He made a wry chuckle as he already guessed what's on their mind.

The waitress glanced at the girls with envy. She added, "If a group of people were dining, the highest level of licence will be used as a discount."

"That is for the restaurants, I don't know the policy of other businesses, but it should be the same. Also, licence can be upgraded through appraisal by authorities again. However, upgrading licence can be done once a year to avoid overcrowding. Also, this discount notice is not published yet. If the masses received this news, they might delayed their registration so I guess it's fine to tell you this since you already got the licence."

Ban nodded and asked, "Won't you guys go bankrupt if that happens?"

The waitress shook her head, "The government will provide us the compensation. It is like a normal routine to us. Also there should be a purchase limit or credit limits per day especially in the malls in order to avoid taking advantage and used it for business purpose. The government also should be working on it. However, it is very convenient to have this kind of card for everyone."

'Oh? What a great move for the authorities. I don't know how will they get that huge amount of money. But whatever, it's not like it's my problem. Heh'

"Big brother! Let's go shopping!!" Lucy shook Ban's arm excitedly. Her eyes sparkled in delight. Other girls also excitely crowded Ban.

Who would blame them? A 99% discount is very tempting to everyone, especially this is the era of women who also likes to shop.

Ban twitched his lips and chided, "Did you hear her words just now? Next week will the licence be effective. Sit down first and we'll order the food now..

The girls stiifened before returning to their seat, downcast.

Ban promised the girls to do a shopping today as a reward for their hard work which made girls excited again.

Sophia giggled and commented, "When that time comes, the malls will be wiped out."

Ban didn't agree with her, "Not everyone is as strong as these girls. Maybe the old Divergents can have this kind of priviledge, but they can only get at most 50% discount."

...

Evening...

Ban and the group returned to the mansion. The girls happily told Flora about the great news about the licence.

"What? There's such a thing?" Sally and Flora's eyes sparkled. They were thrifty when buying things and now such a discount will be publicly announced next week? How could they not be delighted?

Ban chuckled and took little judith to play around.

The mansion became lively as they chatted nonstop about the events.

After dinner, Ban headed to the land he bought.

Upon entering the array, he nodded in satisfaction.

A imposing blue gate the height of a hundred meters immediately welcomed his view. The white walls surrounded the land like a fortress of an empire, but his was walls were way more sturdy due to the given materials of Clara.

Ban clicked his tongue and how grand the place was.

When he tried to push the gate, it didn't budge at all. He gave more effort and pushed it with both hands and the gate opened a little, enough for a person to enter.

"It is probably 10 meters thick." Ban massaged his shoulders for excerting his physical strength.

Ban saw the majestic buildings that circled the area. He nodded in satisfaction and flew up to get a clearer view on the sect.

At the right side, a hundred storey building was placed.

A hundred meter radius round stage was placed on the top of the hill.

At the end of the area, a huge mansion the height of 200 meters was placed. It is also called the main headquarters of the sect. It overviews the whole area of the sect.

"This is better than I expected." Ban nodded with a smile.

A total of seven buildings were built in the land. And a tiled flooring everywhere to make the area more tidy.

"Trees and a small river is missing here." Ban mused for a while before shaking his head. He decided to do that later.

"This sect.. is called the [ Invincible Palace ]."
