Training Field

"Wait!"

Michelle could be seen running towards Ban with wronged expression.

Ban stopped his footsteps, he turned back to her without saying anything.

"Fine. I'll take you to our Bureau Head." Michelle held her frustration in and led Ban to her limited black sports car.

Ban nodded and followed her silently.

...

"Why are you so distant? Did I do something that makes you act so petty towards me?"

On the way, Michelle was calmer as her elegant demeanor returned and she asked Ban in confusion.

"What? This is my usual self. Everyone knows that." Ban shrugged his shoulder as he glanced at the futuristic buildings in the Capital.

Michelle squinted her eyes at Ban, annoyed. She clearly knew that Ban was making a clear line towards her. She snorted before focusing on her driving.

A few minutes later, their the entered a private area with many guards. The location was surprisingly the center of the Capital.

Ban stared at the tall black building up front. He heard Michelle introduced the building as the main headquarters of the Special Abilities Bureau of the country.

"Let's go. You owe me two meals already." Michelle flung her hair as she entered the lobby with elegant steps.

Ban opened his mouth, but he shook his head as he followed her inside.

Soon, he felt many strong auras of Divergents around. Upon observation, Ban noticed that some of the agents wore a full exoskeleton armor. The materials came from the giant fiery ants he slaughtered back then.

"Elder." Michelle approached an old man. She the introduced Ban to him and his purpose.

The name of the old man is Alejandro Madrigal.

Old Alejandro squinted his eyes at Ban. He asked, "Are you that soldier that the James' family was looking for in Angeles City?"

"A member of the James family indeed looked for me there. After a short chat in my house, he left." Ban answered indifferently.

Michelle also investigated the matter. What Ban told her elder was right. What puzzled her was the decline of power on the James family overnight as their patriarch got assassinated along with his elites. Her suspicion pointed at Ban who came to visit the Capital and the assassination event happened. However, she couldn't detect how strong was Ban or he was affiliated with a strong organization. Her guts told her that Ban has something to do with the assassins that night.

Old Alejandro nodded. He didn't press the issue on Ban since the James family didn't came to the bureau anymore to cause trouble.

"You will have to wait a little. The Bureau Head is currently on a meeting of an important figure of our country in her office."

Ban raised his brow and checked the time. He saw that it is still early, so he agreed with the old man.

"Hey, do you want to be an agent?"

Michelle suddenly offered to Ban. Her guts told her that Ban is a strong Divergent. Yet, she didn't know what kind of Divergent he was.

Old Alejandro squinted his eyes at Ban. This young man also puzzled him. He asked Tom about the kid, but the latter didn't let out a single fart. He didn't even know what he talked about the Bureau Head, but the Head suddenly agreed to the meeting which made him a bit curious.

"Are you a Divergent, kid?" Old Alejandro asked.

"I am. Just like everyone else in the planet." Ban nodded with a smile.

The world indeed blessed it's residents to be Divergents. Even disabled individuals have powers on their own.

The manpower of the world rapidly improved with Divergents around. In addition to the greatly expanding world, many people were also in a frenzy for development and conquering lands.

"As for joining the bureau, I have to politely decline the offer."

Old Alejandro waved his hand, "Alright, I'll be heading back now. I'll inform this little lass if the Bureau Head is available later."

Ban nodded and turned to Michelle.

"Guess I'll leave for now and return later."

"Don't go yet. I'll give you a tour in our bureau." Michelle immediate held Ban's arm to stop his movement. She knows that once Ban said his piece, he'll likely withdraw in their building which will irritate her a little.

"What's there to see? I'm not a member of your bureau. I bet all the facilities here are off limits to outsiders." Ban shrugged his shoulders.

"Then how about our training room? It's open to anyone as long as they are accompanied by any agents. If there's a chance, we might see a Commander agent do his daily training." Michelle proudly said. She dragged Ban to a certain direction underground and swiped her access card.

Ban already knew the ranks of the bureau through Tom. The highest position is the Bureau head. The next will be Elders who were usually the retired Commanders of the bureau. Next are the strong ten Commander Agents. Next are Gold agents, followed by Silver and lastly, Bronze agents.

Each agent have their own I.D and their current rank in it.

Soon, they arrived at a two-storey football-like room with massive pillars supporting it. The walls are also made of steel with five meters thickness. Then, the steel walls were coated by three meters thick lead and lastly, five meters thickness of steel once again. It's like a lead got sandwiched by steels making the training room more durable inside-out.

'This is indeed a fortress that can defend a mass destruction attack. Even my training room back in the mansion looked like an appetizer to this place.'

Ban rubbed his invisible beard as he glanced around.

The training area is highly decorated. The lower floor is where the training facilities placed while the upper floor is where the liesure and various entertainment rooms were placed. Even a public pool was placed for those who wants to relax after training.

"Good place." Ban nodded while he keep looking around. He noticed more high level Divergents roamed around the training room.

"Come." Michelle smiled brightly and they walked deeper.

As they went forward, they gathered eveyone's attention. However, Michelle ignored the crowd as she proceeded while pulling Ban's arm.

Ban saw Michelle opened a door and two women appeared in his view. He recognized them as the short-haired twins that Anthony James brought with him at the military camp in Angeles City.

The twins practiced their sword skills using a one on one match. They suddenly halted their training session when they heard footsteps at the door.

Ban's eyes shined when he noticed a familiar and refined aura on the twins.

"Sword Intents."

The twins squinted their eyes at Ban. After a few seconds, their eyes shifted to Michelle, silently asking her what was going on.

Michelle first the twin to Ban and vice versa.

The twins are Kagura Jackson and Kaguya Jackson. Both have identical faces, even their dress and weapon.

However, Ban can discern them easily. In fact, he has many ways to identify the two, but he chooses the easiest one.

Kagura has a mole inside her left ear while Kaguya hasn't.

"I challenge you to a sword match." Kagura pointed her sword at Ban and said straightforwardly.

Ban got puzzled for a second before shaking his head, indicating he declined the duel.

Kagura frowned for a second before she walked away to find a drink. She no longer cared about Ban.

Kaguya eyed Ban before she also pointed her sword at him.

"What? I'm only here for a tour and not to train or fight." Ban shrugged his shoulder as he smiled.

What she said next made Ban raised his brows.

"Bet."
