Part 7: For all times, always

"where wolf's ears are, wolfs'teeth are near"

Omens are a part of our everyday life, a small phenomenon foretelling what the future might bring. Good omens are rare while bad ones are pretty common, you just got to know where to look and when to look.

Loki could feel them, the hairs on his arms standing erect as he massaged president Loki's feet. He could feel that something was wrong and he was sure his other variants felt it as they wiggled around not finding rest.

" Deepen your touch" president Loki suggested and the boy couldn't help but roll his eyes. The bastard had taken Croci hostage and when he found them, they threaten to kill the crocodile if he didn't give up his throne as king of the void.

Loki didn't have a choice, Croci was his only family so he relented. But when they reach his bunker and he saw Reeve, his heart is shattered. The other male could not stay, because Loki was already planning a coup and if they knew that the boy was his weakness, Reeve would be in danger and that's something he could not afford.

He knew Reeve would probably hate him for life but he would prefer that to a dead Reeve anytime. Loki couldn't help but chuckle wondering how he had fallen so deep, caring about a fragile human boy.

" Something funny?" President Loki asked eyes closed relaxing and Loki shook his head even though he knew the dude hadn't seen him. After he has taken his throne back, he will look for Reeve and hope the stubborn male will forgive him.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The earth shook, this was enough bad omens for all the Loki's to be on alert. They could feel that something was terribly wrong and that things were to get worse from here on out.

The shaking did not stop but rather increasing, threatening to bury the Lokis alive in the bunker. A glance at the other Lokis and then they were all running towards the stair pushing each other aside wanting to get out first and survive.

Thankfully they were all able to leave. Croci safely nestled in Loki's arms they all stood at the top of a heel and watched as Alioth crumbled down and disappeared into dust. All the machines and waste engines littering the field were turning to dust too.

" they did it, they killed the timekeeper or whoever is behind the TVA" Teen Loki muttered before turning to his other variants and laughed.

" We are fucking free" he shouted and as if to answer him, most of the Lokis started turning to dust too. The joy period didn't last long though as Loki realized that he might not see Reeve again.

"I gotta go" He shouted before taking off, he ran like life depended on it, and in a sense it did. A life without Reeve sounded weird, in the short amount of time they spent together Reeve got attached to that stubborn boy.

Even though his excited pumps of heart, he could not get rid of the feeling that something was wrong, the air around him seemed to buzz and shift agreeing with him that something worse was coming.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Loki spotted Reeve, who stood in front of Alioth, staring towards the castle Loki had seen earlier.

" Reeve!" Loki called and the boy turned around to stare at him, he was shaking and Loki ran to hold him. The boy was scared, and his stiff stance did not melt even after Loki gave him his best hug.

Something had changed about the boy, Loki could feel it and that's not all he could feel. See, Lokis have an innate ability to feel the power, it gives them an edge, helping them to know who to associate with and who to be scared of. And as of now, Reeve possessed a large amount of energy around him.

" What's wrong, Princess?" Loki questioned taking Reeve's face in his hands. The boy's eyes widened as if noticing Loki just now.

" This is bad Loki, This is bad" the boy shook his head and slid out of Loki's hold. Loki would lie if he said that didn't hurt but they had bigger fishes to fry as of now.

" What happened?" Loki asked hoping the Reeve had seen something that would explain why the citadel in front of them was crumbling down and why the bright light behind the citadel was branching uncontrollably.

" I think your variants messed up" Reeve suggested as they stood silent, watching the citadel turn into dust and the light, which Loki had deduced to be the timeline, branch to no end. This, however, you were to put it was not good and Loki knew it.

Damn his variants, he knew he should have gone with them. Then such stupid results would have been avoided.

" Loki?" Reeve called and Loki turned, only to find remnants of black dust swirling beside him, the boy was gone. And soon Loki too.
