Part 6: The beginning of the end 2.0

This was ridiculous, it wasn't his fault Croci was lost, was it?. Reeve couldn't help but feel responsible, after all, he was the one that asked Loki to get rid of him but then again it was weird having sex in front of a crocodile.

He sat down sighing heavily, he felt drained. The sex had been amazing and he would be lying if he said he didn't like the boy but Loki was a mystery and Reeve doubted he liked him back or even if he did, he probably would never admit it.

It had been minutes now and Loki wasn't back yet.

Worry was eating at him and Reeve instinctively went for the cold metal nestled on his neck. The old 20 cents coin was a gift from the one he never saw, his father, yet whenever he touched it, it finds a way to calm him.

He pulled the silver coin towards his face, it was dented and had lost all its shininess, if he squinted he could barely make out the seated statue of liberty. He had thought of having it cleaned but that was cut short with the bombing.

He had been twirling the coin in between his fingers for god knows how long. It hadn't worked, it fucking hadn't work and Reeve was losing his mind. His magic coin was always able to wisk his worries away, then why not this time?

He was pulled out of his thoughts by the top hatch opening to reveal Loki carrying Croci in his arms. Reeve stood up, a smile etched on his face for it to only disappear when he realized the boy wasn't alone.

A herd of Lokis, yes you heard that right. A fucking mob of him was following the boy, each different from one another yet the same. Reeve moved forward and took Croci from Loki's hand, the crocodile squirmed in his hands signaling it still hadn't forgiven him yet.

" Umm Loki, what is this?" Reeve questioned and all the people in the room looked at him, having realized his mishap he pulled his Loki aside.

" Leave" Loki stated sharply taking Reeve by surprise who gasped and shook his head forcefully. Reeve could not take it.

" No, am not leaving. Now tell me what happened?" Reeve argued desperately, he could see the resolve on Loki's face and he could also see that the walls were back blocking the Loki, who had asked him if he was okay during sex, away.

" I said leave, Reeve" Loki started harshly but at the sight of the shimmering eyes of Reeve, a clear signal he was holding his tears. Loki softened.

" Please, it's for your good, trust me" Loki pleaded but Reeve was being stubborn and Loki would have smirked and kissed the male in front of him to submission if this wasn't an urgent matter.

Reeve was climbing towards the hatch on top, Loki wanted to run after him and stop him or at least tell him how much the boy had impacted his life.

But he knew that that would only be giving the other's power and he would be damned if they knew his weakness for the boy.

Reeve sighed as he opened the hatch and breathed in the fresh air, weirdly the air was fresh and the sky looked brighter. Loki had informed him that Alioth wasn't a threat anymore, so maybe that's why the place looked less sinister.

The boy set his journey towards nowhere specifically, he could feel the tug on his heart tighten and tears brimming, threatening to spill. He sucked it up and kept walking.

He had promised himself to never cry over a boy, they were dump and manipulative ( he was part of the gays, not the boys). He furiously rubbed his eyes wondering why Loki had such an effect on him, I mean they had only spent like two days together at best. Time moved weirdly in this place.

He came to a sudden stop, when he realized he had wandered close to Alioth, the dog looked frozen in time, a green aura surrounding it. Loki had mentioned about his variants going to enchant Alioth. He assumed they had succeeded.

Weirdly he felt droned towards the dog, not the beautiful citadel on the far end but the scary all-consuming dog. And before he could stop himself he had touched it.

He was immediately flooded with visions of different places and different people, a clear yet chilly voice ringing in his mind

" This is it, we have crossed the threshold, no going back now" The voice rang before Reeve broke contact with Alioth.
