The Peeper

Never had she ever felt like losing someone that much.

Any death she has ever witnessed was because of natural cause. There was no reason to feel sad and grief over something so natural, she used to think so.

There was one time she saw a suicide body with blood and brain scattered eveywhere but did not even blink.

Death to her was something mundane and trivial.

She was also never in a relationship.

'Like' and 'Love' were out of her own thoughts. No one has ever been into her mind and she obvisously did not have the luxury of being asked to go out or confessed to prior to meeting The Boy. In her mind, she was "Ugly" and "Unworthy" of affection from anyone.

That was why, the feeling of 'loss' that she felt for The Boy was something so strange, yet so powerful and heartbreaking.

She did have a choice of not telling him the truth. Of course, she did not go onto that route.

The Girl could have stayed silent and no one would have known. Things would have moved on on its own and she would probably have gotten her final happiness.

She really thought about it carefully, and came to a conclusion that she wanted him to know who she really was. She wanted to be accepted not as 'similar' but as 'different'. The Girl desired to be known by her true nature, not something fabricated with lies and deceptions.

He called her "Beautiful" when everyone ignored her existence. That alone was enough for her to consider him her "savior", her "hero".

For someone who is used to insults by others and discrimination, only a little bit of attention would be enough.

She respected him, and told him everything that she had done, knowing that her fragile 'normal' would be gone just after a few days.

She really did stalk The Boy at school and some other places. She followed him to his house, and she put him in a trap by putting her life on the line.

In order to confirm he was something similar to her, who also suffered the same condition, she did something that others would consider disgusting.

She was not beautiful. She was not confident.

The only thing The Girl really had was nothing.

She had "nothing" to lose.

If this useless being could not find a kindred soul, then might as well throw in away. She thought of that before standing at the edge of the building.

She took her life as a hostage.

That was the inevitable truth that she must face. She had to take responsibility of her actions.

The moment she told him everything, her void was filled with sadness.

Emotions that had never been present now pouring out like a river.

In contrast to the warm and fuzzy feeling of 'happiness' that The Boy brought with his words, what she was experiencing was only pain.

Her inside felt like it was inflamed. It throbbed so hard that she could not do anything but to kneel down. Every single fibre in her body was unable to hold her posture, yet she still tried.

With each passing seconds, there was something sharp like a knife slowly cut her inside to small pieces. It travels from her heart, through her veins, to her entire body, up to her head.

As she waited for his final decision, tears started to build up in her eyes.

Until one point she could not contain it anymore, it bursted out. Salty, warm, and some bitterness.

Being in love with someone is hard, being truthful is harder.

The truth hurts.

She has been telling the truth only to those around her. She told them painful truth that no one wanted to hear.

And look at what it brought? Isolation. Rumors. Looks of despise.

If he was about to look at her similar to those people, she would have lost it.

Her 'normal', which has only begun, would disappear like a nightmare.

She wished, from the bottom of the void, for him to talk to her.

The silence was unbearable. As if the air was made of metal, putting tremendous pressure on her small back.

Just when her sadness was about to turn into despair, he also prostrated.

"Please take care of me from now on."

To which she replied with sobbing voice.

"Please take care of me from now on."

She lost all strength, and had to be held up by him.

Something good came up in the end.

After a while, The Girl calmed down.

The Boy's shirt was drenched with tears but he did not seem to mind.

"Let's continue our lunch, okay?" He put his hand on her short-bob hair.

She nodded and continued picking bacon out of The Boy's lunch box while sharing her fried chicken with him.

"Hey leave some bacon for me too." Using his chopsticks, he tried to desperately grab the final piece.

"No!"

Nom.

She then held the bacon piece infront of her mouth.

"Get it from my lips, if you dare."

With every thing out of the system, she could then really relax.

The cool and gentle wind went in through the hole on the wall, washed away all the sadness that was in the room.

It brought with it a few petals of flower, created quite a nice scene.

It was peaceful.

Spending time with someone she liked was peaceful.

Eating delicious bacon was peaceful.

She did not feel bored or annoyed. To her, the time spending with him in this warehouse should be bottled up and saved forever.

Nom.

The Boy used his mouth to bite the bacon piece that was hanging on her lips, narrowingly missed a kiss.

"This is mine." He proudly said.

"Yes, I'm yours." She proudly claimed while her cheeks and ears turning into a deep pink.

Suddenly, a third voice appeared.

"Excuse me, that is Not an appropriate behavior at school."

And there she was, the dignify and beautiful figure of the class rep, standing infront of the window.

"I'd like you guys to stop doing things like this. We're still students inside the school, no matter the place you are hiding."

The Boy looked at his class rep and then turned to The Girl: "I thought you said no one would ever come here."

The Girl answered with a puzzled look: "It's been more than 2 years. It's true that when I'm here no one ever comes."

"What about her then?"

"I have no idea."

Having seen the couple ignoring her, The Class Rep said aloud while looking at The Boy.

"I followed you."

"You WHAT?!"

2 students screamed.
