En Garde!

When the ramming sound has ended, the gate to the city also bursted wide open. From there, many armored elephants started to pour in, creating chaos in their way.

The troop which stayed right behind the gate suffered greatly because of this. Many was immediately killed by the tusks of the elephants piercing through their bodies.

Because of the exceptional skin of the black elephants, their normal guns did not work, and they only angered the pack of mad elephants even more so. Whenever a shot was fired towards on individual, it left just a mark on their skins. Only the explosions by using the grenades of the bazookas seemed to help. The problem with that was the time between each shot was not so small, and the explosions would envelope other people into it.

Furthermore, the soldiers are not only dealing with the elephants.

The sound of the gate breaking was something like a bell, an alarm.

From beyond the forest of The Old World, various creatures once more started to run towards it.

It was similar to the first wave of the stampede, but without the cause. Before, other animals were afraid of being run over and stepped on, they were afraid of being killed by the mad herd. Now, when the main party has arrived, still there are new animals running towards the entrance of The Wall, and even more strange, they started attacking everyone rather than just running for their lives.

There was a clear difference in objective between the two.

The first one ran to survive. The second one was to kill.

Once again, they have to face another horde. This time no turrets, no retreats.

The captain, who was luckily not in the way of the elephants when they broke through the gate with their tusks, was already feeling desperate.

"WE NEED BACK UP NOW!" He screamed.

"Hold your ground. They are coming!" To which, the headquarter replied.

We were having a chat on the bus, I was personally being squished between the two girls who were obviously trying to pick a fight with one another. They both wanted to sit with me on a chair that could only fit two people. So it created a scene where I was sandwiched between them. None decided to let the other person sit with me alone.

I did not know how to make them feel comfortable with each other, and frankly, I did not think it was neccessary. The two people, The Girl and The Class Rep, were always like that. They were always fighting and cursing and each other. It was more or less the norm at this point.

Suddenly, I heard it.

BOOM.

A large exploding sound came from the distance. It was the sound of something hard and heavy breaking into pieces, followed by tremors. An earthquake? I thought to myself and opened the vision sphere right that instant. The people in the bus was suprised by the sound also, so they started making questions and looked around them through the windows.

A gas pipe burst?

An accident somewhere?

All kinds of thoughts were asked, but no one could really identify the issue. With our normal eyes, it was hard to see anything besides The Wall itself.

Then, when the vision hit me, it was something that I could never imagine. Weird looking black elephants were charging towards us from The Walls. They were led by one particularly big one that for some reason only had half of its face. Blood and white bones were easily seen coming out from its body.

And not just that, many other animals were running towards us as well.

"Take out your weapons." I told the two girls. "Something bad is going on!"

Without any kind of hesitation, they stopped their bickering, and started unpacking the stuff.

For my girlfriend, she took out a huge amount of metalic spheres. For the princess, she took out the two chakrams.

My girlfriend gave me a bottle of medication, and I took it.

"What's going on, dear husband?" There was a hint of uneasiness in The Class Rep's voice when she looked at me. It was possible that I was making a serious expression.

"Elephants, a lot of them. And gorillas with huge arms, and many other species. They look completely out of this world." My voice was also serious.

"Elephants? Why are they here? I mean. This is at the edge of The Wall? What do they look like?" My girlfriend repeated my words.

"Yes, and they are charging straight at us. I can't stretch my visual that far so I don't know how they managed to get here. But the first one I saw had a huge wound on its face. They just look very weird, not like those we saw back at the zoo. We need to turn back now."

"Got it, dear husband. I will inform the driver and call Mama." The Class Rep stood up and was about to reach the bus driver. She did not have any doubts for me and my decisions.

However, while she was moving, in my vision that I was constantly kept open, a huge rock was flying straight at us with an insane speed.

"What is that shadow? A bug?" The bus driver said to himself.

[Sit down and hold your head now the two of you!] I told the two girls.

BOOM!

A huge impact was delivered throughout the whole bus. Upon contact, every single one of us could feel the hard stop as our bodies were launched forward. Many hit their head on the seats infront of them or fell down the floor. The rock slammed through the front engine, smashed the driver seat and the driver to bits. The thing killed the bus driver instantly while stopping the bus at the same time. After the impact, the front of the bus was busted wide open.

"Kyaaaaaaaaaaaa!"

After a few seconds of silence, screamings erupted.

"What's going on?"

"Is he dead? Is he really dead?"

"I'm scared. I'm scared. Waaah."

"How is this happening to us?"

Still stunned from the shock, the students were unclear about our environment. Some even began to cry.

The boulder hit the bus head on, killing our only hope of returning in a short amount of time. However, we needed to get out of this place as soon as possible. The animals are still coming at us.

I helped my girlfriend stood up, and then helped the princess.

"We need to go now. They are coming still!"

The nodded at me.

[And Class Rep, I need you to tell the class to run also. I don't really care about them, so if they would like to stay, that's their problem.]

[Why don't we just bring everyone.] She asked. She is the class representative after all.

[Can't. They're too much of a baggage. We can't help this many people. They need to make their own choices.]

[I agree.] The Girl nodded. [I did not need them then, I do not need them now. Let's go.]

[I understand, dear husband. I was thinking the same thing. They are not really worth your attention. It should be directed at me only.]

[Just do what you're told, you slut.]

[Now is not really the time...]

By using telepathy, we could talk with a speed much faster than normal. So the final decision was made in mere seconds even though we had a little bit of an argument at the end.

[Be ready for my thoughts at any moment. The rock was not on the ground. It was thrown. There is a huge possibility that something else would be thrown at us again. I think you should use the explosive type.] I told my girlfriend.

[I didn't bring so much with me though. Sorry about that.]

[Don't be. Just stay focus for me, okay?] I hold her hand tightly.

[Okay!]

The Class Rep glared at The Girl, but as the situation was not very suitable, she diversed her thinking.

"My fellow students, as you can see there has been an accident. We should get out of the bus and head back to school and return home ASAP." The Class Rep stood in the middle of the bus.

"What is the princess talking about?"

"Shouldn't we stay here and wait for help?"

"I don't think leaving this place is a good thing right now."

"The bus can explode at any seconds. We should at least get out and then discuss what's next."

"Then please, if you can, help another student stand up and get off this vehicle as soon as possible. We should head back or at least get out of the area due to the chances that this bus is going to explode." Once more, The Class Rep said.

After hearing the word explode, the people complied much faster than before. The bus was cleared out just a couple of minutes. When they were trying to make their way towards the door, they all tried to close their eyes on the crushed body of the bus driver.

They were pale white seeing the real dead body for the first time, some even vomitted.

[How far are they from us, dear husband?] The Class Rep asked me.

[We should leave now.]

Wait. What is this? How is it so fast?

[Are you okay?]

Wolves? How can a wolf have this kind of speed?

[They are closing in. We cannot wait anymore. Class Rep, please call your mother. We need a...ROCK INCOMING.]

I saw a huge boulder flying at us again. This time, it was aiming towards the students.

There was absolutely no time for us to infrom others about what was coming.

I shared my vision with The Girl, showing her the trajectory of the rock.

Right then, in my vision, a sphere appeared infront of the boulder. In less than a fraction of a fraction of a second, the sphere exploded. The fire consumed the entire rock, and it turned into pieces and fell down.

The explosion was timed perfectly.

We could see the explosion at the distance, which had a magnificient orange color.

The students were once again stunned by the sound.

"We have to run! This place is not safe! Did you guy see that? Are we under attack? Isn't this similar to those terrorists movies?"

"I don't wanna die. I don't wanna die."

"Hello, police? Yes, we are..."

"It's okay! I'll protect you."

Ignorance really is bliss. They would never believe me even if I told them the truth.

[Mama will send our forces with The Butler to get us, dear husband. We just need to hold our position for about half an hour.]

[Half an hour. That's fair. We are far a way from the city after all.]

[No time to idle, we need to move!] The Girl cut us off.

[[Right!]]

Then, from the ground, tentacles shot out with a ridiculous speed, aiming straight at my face.
