Yin & Yang

-not at all; I truly believe that nobody is born evil, and that all evil people could change with the right care and support. A stranger is a friend you haven't met yet, and love is the moving emotion of this world, it is the most important.

-so you think hate isn't important?

-the world would be better off without it.

-you know what gets me up in the morning Lémoire? My hatred for the terraformers, the thought of annihilating those bastards fuels me up every single day, all of my new magic gets unlocked either in moments of desperation and fear or wrath. Without hate, love would have no worth, what's the value of a world that's all joy and butterflies and roses? What's the value of a rose if it didn't have thorns that hurt you in order to acquire it? What's the rarity of a treasure if it's easily obtainable? What's good if bad didn't proceed it? Black is most seen on white surfaces, and the opposite stands, the Yin and Yang halves are so distinguished because they are polar opposites. Opposites exist for the sake of each other, not against.

-I agree, but I don't believe the bad needs to be as omnipresent as the good, we need to learn to trust and love each other, it breaks me to see the world divided, everyone is watching over their back and nobody trusts anybody, wouldn't it be beautiful if we gave each other chances?

-a no is as heavy as a thousand yeses, bad and good have been coexistent for ages, but the bad weights more, that's why it's felt more. Besides, the good isn't appreciated, what's good is good, there's nothing to change about it or complain, so nobody talks about it. Ever wondered why dead people get more flowers than the living? Because regret is stronger than gratitude. And that's how the world works, the dent bad creates in thy heart is deeper than the one of the good.

-why, though?

-that's a good question, we always knew the bad is heavier but rarely wondered why, it's like the whole world has agreed on it and took it as an axiom. There has been the previous explanation that the good is just good and the bad is always felt more because of one's feeling for need of change, but why isn't gratitude felt for the good, why isn't it appreciated as much as bad is loathed? I do think that, to an extent, happiness is a choice most of the times, you can choose how excited you get over simple things like waking up in the morning, because when you remember that even that isn't guaranteed, you start appreciating it a bit more, won't you?

...

-I appreciate conversing with you Alan, however, I am not ready to change my point of view about the world. I do believe that pacifism and neutrality are the keys to balance in this world, I don't believe in the need of extremes. You may leave when you want, I have offered you my wisdom.

~The Guardian of the sky, monologue~

The higher spirit of Voul has birthed this universe and flooded it with meaning and purpose, it is up to you to discover it. Each one of us is like a piece of a puzzle, their acquaintances are the puzzle pieces to which they attach themselves to, and it is up to one's proper discernment to decide when it is time to remove a puzzle piece attached to them, because the person turned out to be different to expected. Life is beautiful, beavers building a damp, fish swimming in the water, a momma bear and her cubs, a hardworking beehive, a child taking their first step, cooking your first meal, attending your graduation ceremony, finding your first love, watching a sunset, feeling the cool breeze of air on a warm beach day, making a sand caste on the shores, walking along the shorelines watching the water sway back and forth, as if it's being pulled and pushed.

Give your life value. If you don't see meaning in living, then create it. Hold onto life even when you feel like it doesn't want you holding onto it, because that feeling is temporary, but ending it all is forever. Love yourself more than anyone loves you, forgive yourself for your past, and allow yourself to see the world from new perspectives, perspectives that the harsh days have made you blind to. And if the world turns its back on you, turn your back on the world, not yourself. Don't be your biggest enemy, be your biggest lover, and drown in self love until you feel complete.

Sometimes life gets morbid and it becomes hard to remember how lucky we are to be existing in such a wonderful place that we've lost sight of, because a broken spirit can never see the world for what it is, they only acknowledge the grisly and ghastly parts of reality, and they exist, but they coexistent among divinity, among celestial aspects of life that are so carefully created to perfection they almost feel unreal.

~The Nihilist: monologue~

One day galaxies will collide, one day planets will die, and the beam of life will fade into the abyss, one day, we will disappear. And then, no matter who you are or what you've done, it wouldn't matter. You could be the most violent killer, or the sweetest soul to ever roam this mortal universe, it wouldn't matter, everything will end and nothingness will take over one day. Absolutely nothing of your people's progress will cease to exist or mean anything.

So why even bother? Why advocate for your rights? Why be vegan? Why have any sort of ethics? Why care? Why work? Why live? Your life is indescribably meaningless, have all ambitions you want, do anything you want, it won't matter. Once you get buried, your will stop existing, you won't remember a thing, it ends there. And your accomplishments, no matter how big and impactful they might be, will also turn to nothing, one day.

Life is nothing but a mere mistake, and everyone is hopping on the train of delusion, trying to create meaning in hopes of validating their existence, and everything that anyone will ever do, will always remain, in vain.

Alan has been bombarded with points of view that lied on the very extremes of spectrums. He has seen the zenith of optimism and pessimism, and he has learned, that the best thing to be is

~Velta: final monologue~

Existence is meaningless, and that is exactly why it is so wonderful. Somebody could hurt you with words so heavy they crush the fragile heart of yours, and a day will come where you forgive the person, allowing yourself to learn from their wrongs to be able to conceive the rights for yourself, because deep down you know that you've never meant to hurt no one, and you're sorry for all of your dark past, that is what matters, accountability.

And maybe it was meant for you to endure hardships to be able to appreciate calm times a bit more, and indulge in them deeper. Maybe pain is necessary to create empathy in you, maybe pain is necessary, to birth a new eye in you, one that sees and values the beauty of peace.
