"We need to go now," I said to Karin.. she was holding a dirty doll while crying beside her mother, refusing to move.
"Karin, you need to go with the brother here. Listen to him okay? At this rate, they'll probably use you as a substitute when I die" Her mother began pushing her to me but Karin don't want to let go of her clothes so she made her faint and then gave her to me.
"Go, I can slow them down for you," She said.
"Thank you, ma'am, you don't need to worry about Karin. I'm from Konoha, she'll be taken care of as an Uzumaki Survivor." With that, the mother's final struggle finally disappeared.
I carried Karin and ran away at full speed, my chakra was getting low. The original seems to forget about me. I looked into a good hiding place and put Karin down. We're inside a big hollow tree.
I dispelled my henge and stayed put to reduce the chakra consumption. The original will probably remember me when he obtained the reward money for fetching The 3 kids from the land of the water.
3 hours later, Karin woke up and started crying. She went deeper into the tree while hugging her knees.
I let her cry until she felt too weak to do it anymore. This place is secluded so no one should hear her.
"You can't do anything right now, I suggest you stay quiet or people might find us. If that happens, your mother's sacrifice will go in vain. I promised to take care of you so please cooperate. Your mother did it for you" I said, I'm not in a mood to console her as I'm pissed at the original for forgetting about me.
She stayed quiet afterwards. 4 hours later, I heard her stomach growl.
"Follow me, You need to learn how to hunt some rabbits. I probably can't move in a few days and you need to hunt by yourself." I brought her outside and taught her how to hunt. Although she's only a kid, as an Uzumaki...her body has been nourished by chakra and is as strong as a normal adult.
She calmed down already and just obediently followed my instructions like what her mother said.
"When you hear or see another human, run quietly towards me, Don't let them see you... understand?" I asked and she nodded.
We spent days waiting in the hollow tree. I taught Karin the leaf training as a distraction, she's also the one hunting for food. Eating can also help me preserve more chakra. She's dedicated to her training even when I didn't urge her.
"You can take a break sometimes, you need to sleep properly at night," I said, She only slept 2 hours last night and started training again.
"I need to grow stronger so I can have my revenge," she said.
"No need to be impatient, those people won't leave. You're only allowed to have revenge when you become an elite jonin so take it easy, You have plenty of time," I said
We stayed like that for days and when I was finally about to dispel, I got substituted so I used my remaining time complaining to the original.
Ashe's POV
I went to our apartment and looked around while I waited for my chakra to recover. Then I remembered that I don't have any cleaning tools.
