Chapter 32

A few days later, the storm had passed over and Greg and Eve were moving into their new house. He had been listening to all the drama that had unfolded at the Ashford mansion while Eve decorated her new starfish inspired bedroom with a breathtaking ocean view.

"I told you, Adam is a creep. I knew there was something up with him from the start."

"I know. I should have listened to you."

"So… you and Hunter."

Folding some laundry to put it in a drawer, Eve sighed. "I think I blew it. He was so upset about Harper being hurt that he hasn't spoken to me since. Grace called, and he's pretty much shut everyone out. He's kept to himself since it happened and probably blames me for all this."

"Maybe he just needs time to cool off. You'll see him Monday at work. Maybe you can clear the air with him. You are his assistant, so he can't ignore you forever."

Sitting on the bed, Eve looked at her best friend with sadness. "There's something I left out."
