Finding Eve crying in the lunchroom's corner, Grace walked over slowly, handing her a napkin from the dispenser on the condiment table. "My brother is an inconsiderate asshole. I'm sorry he hurt your feelings."

"No, it's not his fault. Adam is to blame for all this. Hunter is just worried about his daughter, and I understand that. Right now, I wouldn't trust me around her either."

"What are you talking about? It's not like it's your fault Adam is acting this way. It's already clear to me you have Harper's best interest at heart. You were the first one to run to her when Adam shoved her down. And when her insulin levels were low, you were right there. Hunter was raving about how you jumped right into action to help her. Besides, Harper loves you. She doesn't warm up to many women very often."

"But he thinks Adam is dangerous. Would you want Harper around that? Especially if Adam is stalking me."
