Three months later…

Following the kidnapping, things had finally settled down with the Ashford family. Martin recovered from the gunshot wound and had plenty of stories to tell his golfing buddies about how he saved the day. His sons and daughters had heard the stories so many times they couldn't practically know what he was about to say before it said it. They teased him about it often. But it was all in good fun because they were glad he was okay and proud that he saved Eve and her unborn child's lives. It was a true show of how truly in tune he was with his family; nothing got by him.
