Chapter 65

For the next few weeks, Nick was feeling stronger than ever. Sam's odd workouts routines were fun and silly at times, but it was helping him to be faster and stronger in the ring. He had felt better than he had in years and his body was in the best shape it had ever been. 

It was the holidays and Sam had said she went to New York for Thanksgiving. Nick, not knowing she really just got a hotel in Orlando, went to spend the holiday with his family. Since she had no family to visit, there was no need to leave town, but she didn't want to burden him, or for him to feel sorry for her. 

It was a little over a month until his return to the ring and they had taken a day off for Nick to rest. He had been alone most of the day as Samantha had gone out baby shopping with Roxy. Leaving her phone on the kitchen table, Nick could hear the annoying dinging from the messages as he made a sandwich. Her phone was always going off and she often forgot it laying around.
