Many questions came to Abriella's head that bothered her a lot that weekend. About why she had to go through this? What is the content of David's oath? And... Did she have to stop all this by continuing to wear the necklace? Those were the questions in Abriella's head. Even so, Abriella still uses the necklace just in case as well as to test it.
Abriella wore the necklace at night after they came home from Melinda's grandmother's house. And it's all true... Abriella didn't dream of David at the time, she continued to wear the necklace at work. Because she also remembers that Melinda's grandmother said that the necklace prevented a sudden thing from happening that made Abriella faint like before.
"Ella… Are you feeling better?" One of Abriella's co-workers who saw the woman's arrival into the building asked. Abriella stopped her steps to greet her partner and chat with her.
"Yeah… I feel better now. Thank goodness I didn't need to be hospitalized!" Answered Abriella who smiled at the woman in her mini skirt and black blazer with her hair tied up.
"Yeah right… Thank goodness! We were all shocked to hear that you passed out in the room. Next time please pay attention to your health, yes, or at least if you want to take a break from work for a while that's okay too. Because Xian can replace your job well!" The woman said to Abriella who was now smiling but slowly the smile faded along with the last sentence the woman said which impressed that even if she left the company it would not matter, because there was someone more capable and with better performance than her.
"A-hahaha… No need! I'm fine already! Then I have to go to my room... See you later!" Said Abriella who immediately ended the conversation between them when the satire came out of the woman's mouth.
"Oh, OK. See you later!" Said the woman who immediately walked away from where they were standing. Abriella also exhaled and walked back to the elevator, there was a feeling of regret in Abriella when she had to choose to stop and talk to the woman earlier.
"Huh... Better? If she is better, then Mr. Albert has fired me since yesterday! Damn!" Abriella cursed in the elevator. She was alone in the elevator, but he was not aware when a CCTV camera recorded his behavior.
In the CCTV room, two security guards were looking around and found Abriella talking to herself in the elevator. One of the two guards was a woman who immediately took out her cellphone and recorded the incident. While his fellow professionals who saw it also asked. "What are you doing?" he asked his partner confusedly.
"Shh… I was telling my friend about what Abriella did when she was alone!" she said. While the man who had asked that question just folded his arms and shook his head, he couldn't understand the behavior of the woman beside him who was now smiling and even chuckling playing his cellphone.
"Work! This is no time for you to play with your phone!" he scolded the woman. The woman in the blue uniform closed her cellphone and looked at her co-worker with an annoyed look, but she still obeyed what the man said and put her cellphone back into her pocket.
Abriella had arrived at the fifth floor, where she worked. The woman immediately walked to her room as soon as the elevator door opened, and immediately threw her body onto the chair in front of her desk which looked very neat, there were no files like the other day when she worked late until she fainted in front of her at this time.
"Maybe Stephanie is right… Maybe that intern is doing better than me!" Abriella muttered, starting to feel insecure about the child named Xian. Abriella exhaled and leaned back in her chair then closed her eyes very annoyed.
"Xian, you've… Ah! Abriella? Are you feeling better? Why didn't you tell me you were going to work today? I thought Xian had just arrived!" The words came from the mouth of Mr. Albert, who finally made Abriella quickly opened her eyes and looked at the boss who was now standing in front of her.
"I'm sorry sir! I don't know if I should contact you first before I go to work..." Abriella said to Mr. Albert.
The middle-aged man who sometimes annoys Abriella shook his head slowly while showing a smile to Abriella in front of him. "No! It's okay... I don't have to say that either, it's just that Xian doesn't know this, and maybe she will come here! Is it okay if the kid works with you for today? I'll go back to having her work in administration tomorrow! You're fine with that, right, Ella?" Ask Mr. Albert told Abriella after he explained that the intern would come to Abriella's room to work with her for a full day earlier that week.
Abriella immediately nodded her head, agreeing with what her boss just said. "I have no problem with that sir!" Abriella answered with confidence which finally made Mr.Albert laugh out loud and nodded his head as he walked back into his room.
"Good,! You never let me down, Ella! I'm going back to my room first! If she comes, treat her well!" That's what Mr.Albert said to Abriella who nodded and put a fake smile on her boss. Until the door of Mr. Albert closed, then Abriella lowered the corners of her lips and sat back in her chair annoyed.
"What is this? Should I still be nice to this kid? Huh!" Abriella grumbled, now folding her arms in front of her. Before long, she heard the sound of the elevator door opening, so Abriella immediately lowered her folded hands and stared at the door to her room which was still closed.
There was no knock on the door that Abriella heard as the door opened by itself, revealing a girl who had black hair, slightly slanted eyes, and very white skin. Abriella's impression when she saw her was... Good girl! That was Abriella's first impression of Xian.
The woman who was believed to be much younger than Abriella looked surprised when she found Abriella sitting in her chair and looking at her intently. "Ah… I'm sorry! I didn't knock on the door first!" she said who then walked out again and closed the door to Abriella's room again. This of course made Abriella confused, she could only stay silent and stare at the closed door.
But moments later, there was a knock on the door. Making Abriella spontaneously laugh at the innocent behavior of the intern. And thought that maybe the intern wasn't as bad as she thought.
