24. Lewis Hutomo, An Arrogant Man

"Still in transition and handing over with Andrew. She'll sit in the front and Andrew in the room next to my personal assistant." Darren answered.

"Why? Don't mess with my employees!" The look in Darren's eyes made Jack wave his hands in the air.

"No! Why are you being so possessive? With previous secretaries, you didn't care even if I had a one night stand with them." Jack frowned.

"It's about time you stopped playing around. Remember how old you are, Jack?" Darren just pretended to be wise so that Jack wouldn't go near his secretary this time, of course, his secret wife.

"HAHAHA .... the man who couldn't get his own love, is now advising me, the conqueror of all women's hearts. There's nothing I can't get, you know that." Jack winked at the notoriously cold man. Darren replied with a sharp grin.

"If you have nothing else to do, then go! I have a lot of work to do." Darren straightened himself again by tapping the keys on his laptop. Jack smiled sinisterly.

"Okay, I'm going home now. My nightclub is still open for you if you want to get drunk." Jack stood up to leave the room.

"Hmm…" Was Darren's only grunt. "Oh, thanks again for dropping off my car," Darren answered while looking at his friend who was walking towards the door.

"So, may I approach your secretary, Calista?" Jack smiled brightly at Darren.

"GO!" The president threw the pen he took from the stationery on the table.

"HAHAHA ... Bye!" Jack dodged a pen toss and waved his hand in the air with his back to Darren.

Before leaving Darren's office, Jack took the time to approach the table where Calista was. Unfortunately, she wasn't there. Jack sighed slightly disappointed. He walked towards the special elevator and left the floor where Darren's room was. Actually, Calista hid into the toilet as soon as she saw Jack coming out of the president's room. She didn't want to get in trouble for chatting with Jack. The punishment given by Darren made her body crumble.

After struggling with work, it was finally time for lunch. Calista did not bring lunch because this morning she left in a hurry. So, she decided to eat in the office canteen on the 1st floor. The beautiful woman with long hair in a ponytail tidied her desk before heading to the cafeteria. And, she only brought her wallet and cell phone.

Calista really enjoys life as an employee that she once dreamed of, when she was an office girl. She also queued for food along with dozens of other employees carrying trays that had been provided at the end of the queue. For lunch this time, Calista chose grilled rice and spicy chicken plus warm oranges as a drink companion.

Calista looked for an empty table and finally found one chair in the corner. She came to it and would sit there.

"Excuse me, does this chair have anyone?" It turned out that at the table one chair had been occupied by a man who was eating alone. The man looked at Calista for a moment then continued eating. Calista furrowed her brows and didn't care to sit down.

"If there is no answer, it means it's empty. Okay, let's eat." Calista said a prayer before eating and she began to enjoy her first bite of lunch as an office employee.

When Calista took her first bite of food, she looked around and there were several people there, men and women whispering to each other while looking at her. The uncomfortable Calista pretended not to care and continued eating.

While cutting spicy chicken with a fork and spoon in her hand, once in a while Calista saw the man sitting in front of her eating quietly. Calista tried to break the silence of the two of them eating at the same table.

"Are you an employee here too?" Calista asked while looking at the man in front of her.

"If you want to eat at this table, shut up! I don't like to talk while eating." The man gulped down the avocado juice that was next to him.

"I think this table belongs to the public. Anyone can use it. Is there an engraving of your name on this table? Tch! Just eating in the canteen is very arrogant." Answered Calista while squeaking and gulping down a big spoonful of rice and spicy chicken so that her mouth looked like it was puffy like a pufferfish.

The man was surprised to see the way the woman in front of him was eating, which was not graceful at all. He almost let out a smile when he saw the round cheeks filled with food. And, he chose to lower his head and take a breath.

"Try to lift your plate." The man said in an even tone and his eyes were completely expressionless.

Calista, who was still struggling to chew the food in her mouth, finally lifted her plate slightly up to see what was on the table.

LEWIS HUTOMO

Calista blinked her eyes repeatedly. Did he even name the table? What a freak. Calista thought.

"Well, do you understand now? This time I let you eat here. Starting tomorrow, find another table! I don't like eating with anyone." Lewis threw the tissue he had used to wipe his mouth on the table. He then walked away leaving Calista who was still dumbfounded in a position to lift her plate in the air.

Calista continued to have her lunch already. When she was done, she hastily brought his tray with her and placed it on the dirty plate. Calista thought to find out who Lewis Hutomo was. His version of a strange man whose face looks like a Hollywood actor he often watches on the internet. Actually quite handsome, but unfortunately arrogant and look down on others.

There's still half an hour to go back to work. Calista chose to enter the cafe next to her office and ordered her favourite cappuccino coffee. The cafe room smells of coffee, making Calista feel comfortable and calm. The beautiful woman inhaled deeply the aroma of coffee in the cafe.

"What would you like to order?" A female saleswoman in a special uniform greeted Calista in a friendly manner.

"I want a hot cappuccino. It's not that hot huh...." Calista smiled kindly, so did the waiter.

The waiter immediately prepared Calista's order and not long to wait, Calista's coffee order was finished.

"30 thousand." said the waiter.

Calista handed her a blue banknote which she took in his wallet. Coffee is in hand, now it's time to find an empty table.

Calista looked around the cafe looking for an empty table. And, again she found an empty table but the arrogant man was already staring at her with intimidating eyes not to come any closer.

Calista sighed. Twice I've met that person, I think I'll be seeing him often from today onwards, Calista thought. Calista decided to approach an empty table with an arrogant man there. The man smiled sarcastically and sighed when he saw Calista approaching.

"Looks like what I said just now couldn't be digested properly by your ears," Lewis said.

"And, my question is still the same. Does this table have your name written on it? Hmm…." Calista puffed out her chest challenging the arrogant man to answer. Calista looked at the table and there was nothing written.
