"Looks like what I said just now couldn't be digested properly by your ears," Lewis said.
"And, my question is still the same. Does this table have your name written on it? Hmm…." Calista puffed out her chest challenging the arrogant man to answer. Calista looked at the table and there was nothing written.
The man shakes his head because he doesn't want to argue. However, his index finger pointed to a place that made Calista follow his finger. The man pointed to an antique wood that looked like a sign with a stand made of wood of the same colour, dark brown. Calista widened her eyes when she saw the writing on the side of the wood, LEWIS HUTOMO.
Now it was Calista who shook her head and sighed harshly as she said, "You are a strange man. It seems you don't get along well so you don't have many friends. Tskckckck ..." Calista left Lewis just like that out of the cafe. Lewis who felt insulted by her words pursed his lips and clenched his jaw to chase Calista but his cell phone rang so he didn't follow Calista.
"Lewis, where are you? Go to my room right now!" The phone was turned off unilaterally and Lewis gripped the phone tightly. He immediately left the cafe. His eyes still had time to look for the presence of a woman who had dared to call him less sociable and didn't have many friends. Lewis walked to the elevator that took him to the top floor.
"Hey Andrew, your boss is inside?" Lewis greeted Andrew, who he saw had just come back from the pantry with a cup of coffee for himself.
"He was. Wait a minute, I'll check first." Andrew put down his coffee and went to Darren's room to inform him of the arrival of his cousin and one of the shareholders of The Anderson Group.
Knock knock...
"Come in!"
"Please come in, Mr Lewis. The president is inside." Lewis nodded and patted Andrew on the shoulder. Even if it's friends or family, Darren doesn't want anyone to enter his room without knocking on the door first.
"Lewis, you've been here since morning, why don't you come to see me straight away?" Darren got up from his seat and walked over to his cousin and best friend besides Jack. The difference is, Jack is a flamboyant man who is surrounded by many women almost every day. Whereas. Lewis is very antipathetic towards women, except for his mother and sister.
"I went downstairs in the personnel room. I heard that there was a demonstration by the employees asking to regulate working hours. So, I investigated there." Lewis took the seat in front of Darren and sat in front of him.
"A moment." Darren made a call to his new secretary.
"Make me two coffees. And, deliver it to my room now." Calista was wide-eyed when she heard he was told to make coffee. This time his job was to make coffee. What kind of coffee do you drink?
"Okay." Calista ended the call and immediately went to the pantry. She makes black coffee. All men would like black coffee, according to her. Instead of having to guess whether it's creamy coffee or milk coffee. So it's safer to just black coffee, thought Calista.
Knock knock...
"Come in!" Calista asked Andrew to help open the door, while her hands were busy holding a tray containing two cups of coffee.
Calista entered the room without seeing who was inside.
"Where do I put the coffee, sir?" Calista tried to act professionally even though Darren's glaring eyes hadn't blinked at her since she entered the room. Because Lewis was sitting with his back to Calista, the beautiful woman didn't realize that the man in front of her was an arrogant man who had a name on every table.
"On the table over there," Darren answered.
Calista put the two cups of coffee on the table. "Please have a drink," Calista said gently.
Lewis, curious since he heard the coffee delivery woman's voice, turned his chair backwards. And, as he expected, the restless woman who dared to call him that turned out to be Darren's secretary.
"YOU!"
"YOU!"
Lewis and Calista called at the same time.
"What is this?" Darren sensed that something was wrong with these two.
"Lewis, did you know her?" Darren looked at Calista while clenching his jaw. How dare this woman toy behind my back with another man. After all, it was his cousin.
"You'd better ask me. He was an arrogant and strange man who marked all the tables with his name. Tch! Why don't you just tag this company with your name? I'll excuse myself first." Calista walked out of the room and left the two men gaping at each other with Calista's words that were really bold and unreasonable.
Lewis also told the origin of getting to know Calista, whose name is only known now from Darren. Darren smirked at Lewis's story. However, in his heart, Darren will surely give punishment to Calista at home later. How dare she argue with a man who should be able to just leave without having to serve him.
"So she's your secretary? What's wrong with Andrew? Did he want to resign?" Lewis asked the marathon as he took a sip of Calista's black coffee. He enjoyed it in his tongue and for the first time, he felt the pleasure of black coffee.
"Andrew was too busy with his schedule so I asked him to split the work with Calista. Let's do the best we can." Darren answered carefully.
"Ohh, I see. She is a brave woman. I don't know if it fits the position as a secretary, I think." Lewis said.
"She is my wife. I made him a secretary because she said she needed a fresh atmosphere so she wouldn't be bored at home. Besides, with her by my side 24 hours, I can freely call her whenever I need if I want to make love, hehe." Darren said to himself with a faint smile.
"It's still new so it hasn't been adapted yet. Let's talk about something else. Where do you live now?" Darren asked before taking a sip of Calista's black coffee. Like Lewis, Darren found this coffee tastier than anyone else's. I should have told her to make the coffee at home, Darren thought.
"Why? Do you want me to stay at your house again? Then Britney gets angry. Huh." Lewis replied.
"No! I don't need you or Jack to live in my mansion. You two have your own mansions." Darren answered.
"Sigh, I also don't want to live with a loser man who still expects someone else's wife. Like no other woman in the world." As usual, the words that flowed from Lewis's lips were like arrows that shot and pierced his heart. Never small talk and always straight to the point.
"I and Britney have not had any relationship since she was married. Don't bring that up again." Darren replied with a sneer.
"Okay." Lewis shrugged.
"Andrew, who's the man inside? Is it one of Darren's business partners?" Calista grabbed Andrew's hand, who was on the fax machine to dig up information about the arrogant and strange man.
"Mr Lewis? He is the cousin of the president and one of the shareholders of The Anderson Group." Andrew replied casually. Calista was half shocked to hear that. The man she thought was arrogant and strange was one of the shareholders of this company. And, she just told the man to name himself in this company, she thought. Calista walked around leaving Andrew who tilted his chin in disbelief.
