The Wrath of a God

The lieutenant stared at Raijah, who was still was holding on to his arm.

"You're him!" the lieutenant exclaimed, "You're the heavenly demon!"

Keeping his eyes on the lieutenant, Raijah said, "Sean, you should go to the martial arts dojo. I'll meet up with you after I finish with this guy."

Sean quickly picked up his box and ran away.

"I'm not after him anymore," the lieutenant smirked, "I only needed to get him because we thought he'd have information on your whereabouts."

"But, now that you're here, there's no need for that."

A wide smile formed on the lieutenant's face, "imagine the promotion I'd get for capturing the heavenly demon. I might even become captain of my own division."

"Get off the porch," Raijah said as he released the man's arm, "I don't want to destroy Sean's house.

Raijah walked out to the middle of the street and waited for the lieutenant.

The lieutenant walked off the porch and stood on the street, facing Raijah.

Spectators peered out through their windows.

"Is that him?" a child asked his sister from a window, "is he the person that defied the royals and was nicknamed the heavenly demon?"

"I believe so," the sister replied, "he looked incredibly handsome on his wanted poster but, he's even better looking in person."

On the street, the lieutenant reached for the spear he had strapped to his back.

Before he could grab his spear, he felt something slam into his face.

He was sent flying backward and, the shockwave sent a strong gust of wind around Avalon.

Cora, Val, and Teo felt a strong blast of wind.

"What was that?" Cora asked.

The lieutenant caught himself and landed on his feet.

"Was that hi-"

Before he could finish, Raijah appeared in front of him and punched him again.

The attack once again sent the lieutenant flying backward. He crashed through trees and buildings before landing miles outside of Avalon.

He stood up, his face throbbing with pain.

"He punched me outside of Avalon."

Raijah appeared in front of him, and they stared each other down. They were surrounded by flat green lands. The closest town being several miles away.

"Who are you?" Raijah asked, "and, why were you attacking Sean."

"I'm the first lieutenant of the Avalon army's fourth division," he replied, "regardless of if you're dead or alive. I'm here to take you back to army headquarters."

"So, that's why there were wanted posters of me," Raijah thought.

"Why do you guys want me?" Raijah asked the lieutenant.

"You defied the royals," the lieutenant explained as he grabbed his black spear, "not only that but, you are rumored to have the prana of the gods. With that kind of potential, you aren't just a threat to the Avalon government. You're a threat to all of existence."

"Just surrender. Listen to the government and save me the trouble of having to defeat you."

"Why would I listen to a corrupt government that abides by these false royals?" Raijah replied.

Raijah's tattoo began to glow red and, his red lightning aura exploded, "I'm not one to let my anger take control of me. I've ignored these false royals up till now. I never even put my hands on King Kaijo, and yet the government decides to attack Sean?"

"The same man that cared for me."

"I've already shown King Kaijo by infiltrating his castle. But, I think it's time I teach you and the rest of your corrupt government what happens when you mess with the ones I love."

"Divine Lightning: Lightning Domain!"

A circular wall of red lightning surrounded the empty land.

"There's nowhere to run," Raijah said.

"I don't need to run," the lieutenant said as he pointed his black spear at Raijah, "the spear of Solaris is impossible to dodge."

"It was created by one of the greatest blacksmiths and enchanters," the lieutenant explained, "the captain got it specially made for me when I was promoted to first lieutenant."

"I don't care," Raijah said as he stretched his hand up.

"True Divine Prana: Divine Creation!"

Hundreds of large meteors appeared in the sky above them.

They began to fall down towards Raijah and the lieutenant.

Raijah flew up into the sky, easily maneuvering around the meteors.

On the floor, the lieutenant held his black spear in one hand and, he dashed up at the meteors.

As he soared upward, he pointed his free hand up.

"Lightning Prana: Thunder Arrow!"

A blue arrow of lightning fired out of his hand.

The lightning arrow pierced through the meteors above him, causing them to shatter.

The other meteors around them slammed into the ground.

The lieutenant jumped through the broken pieces of the meteors that he had destroyed and saw an opening.

Raijah was hovering in the air and analyzing the lieutenant.

"He uses lightning prana," Raijah thought, "but his lightning is no match for my divine lightning."

The lieutenant landed on another falling meteor that was nearly as high as Raijah.

"Before you interrupted me," the lieutenant said from the meteor, "I was explaining why you can't dodge my spear. But, since you aren't interested, I'll get straight to the point.

"My spear, the spear of Solaris, was enchanted to have unmatched speed.

"It is impossible to dodge because its speed alone transcends time itself."

"I'll test the speed of your spear," Raijah said mockingly, "since you're so proud of it."

The lieutenant jumped off the falling meteor and reached Raijah's height.

"Here," Raijah encouraged as he closed his eyes, "I'll even close my eyes."

"He's disrespecting the speed of my spear," the lieutenant said.

"Fire!"

In an instant, with immense speed, his spear zoomed out of his hands.

The lieutenant began to watch Raijah as he fell.

With his eyes closed, Raijah caught the spear with one hand.

"Too slow," Raijah said as he opened his eyes.

The lieutenant's eyes began to widen as he fell.

"He caught it so easily," the lieutenant said, "no one has ever been able to even perceive my spear's movements and, he just caught it with his eyes closed."

"You can have this back," Raijah said as he dropped the spear, "I don't have any use for something that slow."

"I have to get serious," the lieutenant said as he began to fly to stop his fall.

"He's flying with ririsu," Raijah thought, "during our training, Aziel said that people who unlock ririsu will gain the ability to fly by manipulating their ririsu prana."

The lieutenant caught his falling spear in one hand and aimed his free hand at his opponent.'

"Lightning Prana: Lightning Barrage!"

Thick bolts of lightning fired at Raijah.

With his tattoo still glowing red, Raijah flew around the attacks and aimed his finger at the lieutenant.

"Divine Lightning: Crimson Rain!"

Red lightning began to rain down on the lieutenant.

"They're fast," the lieutenant said as he was struck by one of the bolts.

His flying stopped and, he fell to the ground. He slammed into one of the meteors that had fallen to the floor. His clothes turned completely black and, he began to stumble backward.

Another bolt struck him, followed by another, and another.

He dropped to his knees, feeling immense pain all over his body. His blood stained the meteor he was on.

"What is this power," the lieutenant said.

He looked up at Raijah, who stared down at him.

"It's not over," the lieutenant said as he gripped his spear.

"Ririsu Prana: Duplicate!"

Hundreds of spears, identical to the original, appeared around the lieutenant.

"You may have dodged one," the lieutenant said, "but can you dodge hundreds of them moving at that same speed?"

"Fire!" the lieutenant shouted.

All of the spears instantly soared towards Raijah.

Raijah maneuvered around the spears but, they continued to chase him.

"They'll never stop chasing you!" the lieutenant said, "once you get tired, it's over."

Raijah stopped in midair and twirled his finger in a circle.

"True Divine Prana: Temporal Reversal!"

All of the spears turned around and aimed at the ground.

The lieutenant looked up helplessly,

"I won't aim too many at him," Raijah said, "that may kill him."

The spears shot towards the ground, slamming into the meteors that Raijah had dropped.

Two spears pierced through the lieutenant's palms. Pinning his hands to the meteor and causing more blood to stain the meteor.

The meteor the lieutenant was on was now completely red from his blood.

The spears and injuries from Raijah's prior attacks rendered the lieutenant to be unable to move.

"I can't lose," the lieutenant muttered, "I'll use all the energy I have."

He looked up at Raijah and opened his mouth.

"Lightning Prana: Lightning Roar!"

A small ball of lightning formed a little bit outside of the lieutenant's mouth. With his mouth still open, the lieutenant added more prana to the attack, causing it to grow to the point where it almost reached Raijah's lightning wall, which was miles away.

Still in the air, Raijah stared down at the lieutenant, awaiting his attack.

The lieutenant let out a screeching roar and, the ball of condensed lightning kept its size and turned into a beam-like attack that fired at Raijah.

The attack hit Raijah and, the impact caused a large cloud of smoke to form where Raijah was.

With his palms still pinned to the meteor, the lieutenant looked down and let out a breath of relief, "I did it."

The smoke cleared and, he noticed a red glow coming from the sky.

He looked up and realized that the glow was coming from Raijah's red tattoo. Although Raijah's dreads were covering the tattoo, its glow was too bright to be concealed.

The lieutenant noticed that Raijah's body was completely unaffected by his attack.

"Since I'm a god whose signature prana is lightning," Raijah said, "lightning has absolutely no effect on me."

"W-What," the lieutenant said with widened eyes.

Raijah flew down and said to the lieutenant, "I respect your effort."

The lieutenant stayed quiet.

"Because of that respect, I'll let you choose my final attack."

"Would you rather I use true divine prana or divine lightning?"

"Divine lightning," the lieutenant replied, embarrassed by his crushing defeat.

Raijah nodded his head and flew to his lightning wall.

The wall of lightning opened a spot for Raijah to go through.

Raijah flew through the opening.

From outside the wall, he lifted his hand and shouted as loud as he could so the lieutenant could hear him.

"I'm sorry you had to be the one I delivered this message through!" Raijah shouted.

"I'm not one to kill. So, I'll make sure this attack doesn't kill you! But, in return, I want you to relay this message to the government!"

"This is a message to the Avalon Government! Actually, every government and country in the world!"

"You guys call me the heavenly demon. So for this message, I'll call myself that!"

"This is what happens when you fuck with the loved ones of the heavenly demon!"

The lieutenant, still pinned to the meteor, listened to everything Raijah said.

From outside of the lightning wall, Raijah was still flying with his hand pointed up.

"Divine Lightning: Sky Hammer!"

The skies within the red lightning wall split and, a huge red bolt of lightning, which was big enough to reach the lightning wall, appeared in the sky.

The bolt crashed into the ground, causing a large explosion that could be heard and felt in every inch of the planet.

Raijah removed his red lightning wall and flew away towards Avalon.

Later, people from all around the world had crowded around the location where the explosion had happened.

The explosion had made a hole so deep that no one could see the bottom of it.

It was a perfectly circular hole that stretched for miles in circumference.

One man pushed his way through the crowd. He held a spear and his entire body was pitch black. He had bloody holes in both of his palms and, blood leaked from almost every part of his body.

"I have to get this message to the government," he whispered to himself.

He looked as if a sneeze or cough would be enough to kill him.

"What could have caused this?" a woman said as she stared into the hole. Her body was shivering with fear.

She looked up and said, "not only is the ground destroyed but, there is no sky above this hole."

An old man with a walking stick replied, "in all my years of living, I've never felt something that powerful. There's only one explanation for this."

"This hole, along with the missing sky above it, was caused by the wrath of a god."
